If you Google 'Virtual Assistant' you should be able to find a recruiter somewhere near you. You can set up your own business then get your name listed in directories too. My daughter was about to do that several years ago when something else popped up for her. I wouldn't pay money for a kit. You can easily find free info online - like PMom said they aren't giving you any leads.

Have some work to do this morning then another afternoon & evening of yard sale prep. I can not believe how much we have gathered & identified as yars sale material.......where did it all come from?

Hi Everybody,

Just a quick check-in as I must drive to Windsor, Ontario in a few minutes.

Rustop and G-Yup, went for my run, and getting much encouragement from my mom, who told me yesterday my weight loss is evident. G, why is it that running outside is so much moer effective than running on a treadmill? More fun, for sure.

Lav-I chuckled and thought of your situation with Mr. Lav. There's a book in the Detroit Airport called "How to Live Successfully with Screwed Up People" ny Elizabeth Brown. Would you like me to pick up a copy for you?

Chill-your dog is absolutely beautiful! And....Lav is right about the Virtual Assistant. My friend uses one. Go to girlfriday.com. That's what he uses and he's been very happy.

My date isn't until September 25....hoping to shed a few pounds before then.

Paguy-good for you for following Nurse Lav's advice.

Star, dear friend, how are you holding up with your son? You know someone made a really unkind comment about my father the other day and it hurt my feelings and I said, "You know that filter between your brain and your mouth? Yours ISN'T functioning."

Hello all, sorry that I've been scarce around here, having 2 daughters back home now means I take a back seat with the computer - but here I am and hanging on in and so so happy to be AF.
I've been to exercise class this morning and am aiming to lose another 2lb at diet class on wednesday. There's something so satisfying about taking back control.

I hope you're all having a good Monday- needless to say its raining again here. The cat has just come in and sat on my legs and he's soaking

Morning all,
Feeling out of sorts. Have turned down 4 teaching jobs this morning. Must do some cleaning in this huge house of mine. Today is also my "rest" day. No running after yesterday's 10. Always feel antsy when I don't run.

Rusty, your date sounds very promising. Have fun in Canada.

Chill, you make me want a dog. It's just too unsettled a time in my life for it right now.

Cyn, I loved your desire to be a little tongue licking westie. During my group run yesterday someone had brought a fairly old yellow lab and every time we stopped for a walking break, that lab would come over and lick my knees! Very comforting.

Rustop, oh how I remember those teen chaffering days. Sometimes with 6 boys in the van, I felt like a fly on a locker room wall, like they forgot I was there listening to every word that came out of their male adolescent mouths.

How are the chicks, Lav?

Star, your son sounds like an interesting kid. Hope he finds his passion. It certainly helps in the pursuit of life.

Sped - My dog is my best friend and my angel, I dont know if I'd have made it through the last few years without her. However, I always resisted getting a dog before I found her as I love the freedom to travel and if I out live her I fully intend to take off again....

Rusty - Your tip on jewellery selling, does it apply to 2nd hand stuff? I have some nice bits I could sell as Im in need of the cash.

There are a few shops in my area that purchase second hand jewellery but I usually bring them in and display them in the shop. I polish them up etc and then ask for a small commission once the item is sold. Can you find similar shops in portugal? Bit difficult to help there as we live so far away.

what type of items do you want to sell? The gold rate is very high at the moment. Might be worth selling it by the gramm? So long as there are no stones in it..
