Hi everyone

Wow, what a busy thread, will have to catch up on all the posts later. Just wanted to check in and wish you all a happy Sunday. Star, we have all walked in your shoes, we are all there to support you,as you say take it ODAT. Lav - glad the yard sale went ok.

Had a lie in until 11 a.m this morning, never do that so I guess my body was telling me it needed the rest. I am learning to slow down at times and not try to be superwoman.

Got to dash my taxi services are needed. Enjoy the rest of the day one and all.

Finally found the time & energy for Chick Pics Week 2. I moved them to larger quarters today. (The cardboard box wasn't growing with them)
If anyone works for USPS - please excuse me for using Priority Mail boxes to form a temporary wall for the chicks. YB didn't show up today to help.

September Serenity - week 3

Morning all, bright and early for me (6.30a.m.) I didn't deliberately wake early I just needed the loo and then couldn't get back to sleep!

Happy Monday - Lav I can't believe how much the chicks have grown.

Confession - didn't get to the gym yesterday, just couldn't be bothered and mooched around the house all day. However have classes booked today and am raring to go! Sometimes the old body knows best and yesterday it was definitely telling me to take it easy.

I hope that we are all rising above our various challenges - things are so much easier once Al is out of the picture.

Have a good start to the week gang, the sea is like a mill pond and the boat is barely rocking!

Good wishes for Monday - just got home from a drive to and from a city 2 hours away, to have dinner with some friends who (different friends, same issue) are facing cancer and and uphill battle. It was good to see them, and they tried their best to be cheerful and sweet, bless them. We felt somehow it was important to do today...
We took turns driving home, we were so tired. Keeping my eyes open with toothpicks. Darn Mr. G, I have to wait until morning to hear the divine voce.
Sped - hope the run was great. 2 dresses, bonanza. Hope you gave LBH a big hug from us all. Red - climb back in the boat with us, we're all in it together. (PS - hormones made this dance A LOT more difficult than it had been - good to be forewarned.)

Good morning everyone

Chill - Have to start off by wishing you a very happy birthday. There is a special birthday thread somewhere else on the boards but I wanted to wish you a great serene day here. Loved the photos by the way.

Sooty - You are right, we need to listen to our bodies and no guilt. Yesterday was for relaxing, today I did an hour of a walk so back on track again.

Sped and LBH - You two are lucky to have connected. On the one hand I love the anonymity of this site but it would be nice to have a friend who I could be totally honest with. One of my best friends at the moment is totally anti-drink and just listening to her talk about people who drink means I could never open up to her which is sad.

Lav - Loved the pics of the chicks, what a difference a week makes.

Guitarista - What amazing talent you have.

John - Today is the big day right? Let us know how you got on.

I have a busy day planned, lots of re-organizing to do in the house. Big hello to everyone I did not mention and have a great week.

Cyn, thanks for the tip about the hormones, it kind of occurred to me as it has been a pain with the hot flashes. Not unbearable, just uncomfortable. How kind of you to be there for your friends.

Mr. G- I want to see your talent! Rebirth and I will probably be fighting over you.

Rustop-That is really sad about your friend and disappointing, too! Is she really being a good friend? Hmmm....she sounds like someone who suddenly becomes a born-again Christian after years of being a heathen. I loathe that arrogance that people sometimes get when they've been AF for a while or are anti-drink....this can happen to anyone, let me tell you. She might encounter the same problem one day. I know how you feel about wanting to be totally honest with someone and feeling like you can't. Hugs to you, Rustop!

I, too, like the anonymity of this site and am struggling because someone from another thread really wants to meet me, and I am really having angst about it. I live in a very small town and I know so many people in this county and I just don't know.

Cyn-I was thinking of your friend on the plane to Nashville yesterday. There was a couple sitting next to me and the husband was terminally ill with cancer and he and his wife were on their way to Pigeon Forge and Dollywood....huge country music fans and this was his favorite place to go. I'm glad your friends have a wonderful friend like you to lean on for support.

John, I bet today will be a great day for you!
