    Wakey Wakey Everyone!!

    I'm never the first here - what's up? Everyone relaxing on hump day?

    Well, yesterday's thread was fun - we still haven't figured out what YB stands for but my personal favourite was Yo Bitch - LOL.

    I'm a bit tired today but still ready to take on the world. I have a meeting this morning and then just some cleaning. May go to starbucks with a GF this afternoon. My BF is cranky and pissy this morning - kind of put a damper on the household but I refuse to let it bother me - I am not able to control his emotions, I can only control my reaction to his emotions. So I choose to ignore them and hope he snaps out of it for his own peace of mind.

    On that note - zoom zoom.

    One thing is for sure............

    Mornin' Uni and thanks for getting us started today! YB = Yard Boy, however Yo Bitch is a great alternate meaning that I think we aught to keep. Can't wait to see what Lav thinks of that one. :b&d: :H (OK. I've already used up most of my smilie ration for this post!)

    Good for you Uni keeping your reaction in check. I used to think Mr. Doggy's moods were all about me. Imagine my shock and awe when I realized that they are NOT all about me. Sometimes he is pissy because he has a stomach ache or a client problem or is constipated or whatever. Old habits are hard to break and I still have to work on it, but I'm trying to do just like you are trying to do. Life is sure better when I do it!

    Yeah. Where is everyone. Doing ________________ in honor of hump day?????

    Marshy must be busy planning her engagement party. **teeheeteehee**

    Gotta go to a meeting for the Community Leadership School project. Still some frustrating stuff going on there. Will relax and just take it as it comes. I'm not in charge.

      In the past (probably all our pasts) that would have been permission to crack one open.

      I'm zooming today too on this hump day / trash day. I don't even have half a trashcan (13 gallon) full of trash. I've been here all week. I cooked and ate. I opened mail. What the heck?

      Yesterday painter called to go eat. I really can't this week with the stuff I have scheduled already. He opened with a flirtatious comment. Oh dear.... I really don't want to deal with this.

      Lav, flying into Baltimore. Poor little doggie. She's gone everywhere with me since last summer.

      Pamina, good on ya for navigating your sister's affairs so well. I know it isn't easy. Good karma is overflowing from you.

          Good morning Uni and DG!

          I'm planning to cram two days worth of work into said hump-day. Yeehaw (not). Wish I had a shiny new not-boyfriend or hot construction workers to distract me. I'm like a crow.

          I have managed to squeeze in some reading. "Lit" by Mary Karr has so far been the best going-dry alcohol bio I've read so far. Can't put it down. Drinking from the same cup, so to speak.

          Speaking of dry, that's my number-one priority today. Health and gratitude all around, inspiring Ab Fabs,

                You know what, if it does happen, you're all invited and I won't take no for an answer. You'll maybe have to wait for about 30 years before we actually get round to dating, but what's the hurry?

                  YB has spent his life feeling responsible for my & basically everyone's feelings. No wonder he's so fecking burned out!!!! I've told him at least 2,000,000 times to stay the feck out of my head & pay attention to what's happening in his - but he just can't!

                              Weighing in on the question of YB. You Bastard would be the version I would most use, but I do like the sound of yo' bitch! It's just lyrical, isn't it?

                              Yul Brenner - inspires me to tell you that I just finished the most entertaining book. It's called Some Girls: My Life in a Harem. It's a memoir, modern, about a girl from New York who is well compensated to be a consort to a Prince of Brunei. Really! I laughed, I cried, I loved it! That photo Marshy makes me think of him.
