Still chilly & raining here as well Deter but I am a right coast resident & shoud be used to the dampness.

Well, YB returned as promised today to work on the non-functioning light situation. But when he got here he said he didn't feel like it - so, we ate a chicken/noodle casserole. I said 'It's your birthday & he responded - I know. There was no cake! Then he left. I don't know what to say except that he does seem to be a tiny bit less miserable.............

Well, I have a bunch of things to do this week, plenty to keep my hands busy & my mind occupied. For that I'm grateful - really

      A good night to all!

        Evening everyone!!

Pride-Mexico trumps Bar Harbor. Hands down. Have a blast!!

Greenie-I have always found it very hard to answer questions that force me to look deep inside. You know those questions in O magazine that want you to get deep and thoughtful? Could never figure out an answer.
So, I'm going to give this a go. Do I feel like I'm still catching up on life after drinking? I honestly don't know!! I don't feel like I put anything on hold. If I wanted I job, I went after it. Early in my adult life if i wanted a certain man I went after him. When it was time to buy a house I did. Time to get a dog or 3-got them. Start agility? yes. Volunteer for rescue and give it my all? yep. Volunteer as a committee Co Chair for my professional organization for 3 years-yes. About the only thing I really put on hold was taking care of myself, physically and mentally and occassionally forgetting to feed the pups/kitties. I was always there for my family when they needed me and still am. So I guess that would be a no. I don't feel like I am catching up on life. But I do feel I am starting a new life in a way.

DG-thank you so much for taking the time to give me that wonderful advice. There must be a company out there with a product I believe in (unfortunately Pampered Chef isn't it as I don't really cook :H). I really miss Wild Birds Unlimited. True, i had to work every Sunday but I loved the products, was an expert in the subject matter and got paid fairly well for retail. I keep thinking therre has got to be something dog related I could do that would pay more than minimum wage. I'll keep looking.

Bear-you day sounded fabulous despite your cold.

        Deter-pics would be greatly appreciated.

Lav-glad you had a decent afternoon with YB. It will all work out the way it should.

LVT-glad your week went well even tho you came home to a mess.

Hi Gaia, Pam and anyone else who was lurking out there. time to get ready for bed. Feeling much better, got a lot of work done today but didi it at my pace and rested too. Also packed a bit for the weekend. Dad's got the platform done and I can't wait to see it tomorrow!!

Oops Gaia - just saw the cross post way back up the page! Hi!!

P3, I can't wait to hear about the platform. A piccy would be good to as Mr. Doggy might be interested in something along those lines! You must be getting very excited about the trip.

Lav - YB is a mystery. That is all.

I think in a couple of weeks there will be one more Mary Kay lady on the planet. Actually, she has given this whole thing a lot of careful thought. I was not there to "push" her to do it - just to help her figure out if it's right for her. I think she thinks it is and I saw nothing in our discussion that makes me think she has unrealistic expectations. She has a high powered sales career now (and is very good at it) but is looking down the road to when she will be getting married and hopefully starting a family. And having something more flexible to do when kids are small. Perfect actually.

AHHHH it's now past my bedtime. You Babes rock.

Deter, hope you are OK! I bet that is scary when you are not even used to rain.

I drove across a valley in NM that was full of deep crevices from flash floods. Scariest drive of my life, trying to drive over them and not slip into them. Hope you're on high ground, Det. Stay dry!
