No LVT, the restrictions are about my teeth, thank goodness.

Hope your goddaughter's TX is fast and effective.

Be sure to give sheri your thoughts on the thread - she's just left.

Me, what's your plan for tonight?

        Good morning!

Congrats to BB and IJM! Way to go on your 20 days, peeps!

BB, yucky weather and a Friday is definitely a temptation to drink. You are doing so well keep on going!

Greenie, hope your mouth feels better soon!

        Hello to everyone else!

Well it is yucky here today as well. I cannot believe it is Friday already! I have decided that we are going to move to the bigger city just north of us January 1. It is closer to my upcoming school, BF's work, etc. The only thing that is saddening is taking little AFM out of her school here half way through. But my dad and his wife said that if we are going to make the move, to do it soon while she is in Kindergarten. This way we can settle in and she can still establish friendships quite easily. I am really excited because we will be moving into a 'house'. I currently live in a townhouse complex. It will be so nice to be in a house with a yard, with privacy! Moving to a city that has more things to do. So today, seeing I don't work until this weekend, I am going to start sorting through things to donate. Clean out the unneeded stuff.

You know what? I am such a happy camper these days. Really, really, really am. It is so great being sober and having plans for the future. I am loving it!

Have a great day all! xo

        ps. welcome jennyeric!!

          Hi everyone,

Lav, what major changes are you thinking? Or are you not ready to share yet on the boards? I completely understand if you're not. Whatever they are good luck my friend! And you're right, every change always seems to require lots of $$$$.

IJM, 20 days for you as well! Congrats to you! I think your wife was smart and had to go to work (avoided..lol) today. Sucks having to do that all on your own though. Those are HUGE tanks, and salt water is even worse then fresh. I live on the ocean, if you need another bucket or two just let me know!

LVT, I'm so sorry about your DH's GD having cervical cancer. I had a scare for the last couple of months, going for so many tests..still not sure what's wrong. How is she taking things? I will be staying away from the nasty red wine.

Jennyneric, Welcome to the board! Have you been AF for very long, trying to quit for a while now? It's a really great group here on the daily AF thread and it really helps me to keep things in perspective; and no drama!

AFM, love hearing you so happy!!! We've been friends for quite a while now, and I believe this is the best place I've seen you. You're just so much in a happy place right now and really enjoying your life; and little AFM is a doll!! You must be so excited about moving? Tell us more about it! I have a little cottage seaside house and I love it. Little Gia loves it, loves the privacy we have, our yard and living so close to the ocean. It really makes a difference loving where you live.

Thanks BB! We have been friends for quite a long time, and I most definitely feel my life coming together the last while. My moods are much more stable staying away from alcohol. I also have more energy and ambition when I don't drink. It is just time for me to get going in life. I have always done well, then tend to sabotage things by drinking. Even now with some of my life's upsets, my coping skills have strengthened tremendously.

I have always been envious of where you live! Geesh, I would love to find an ocean side cottage!! We have seen a couple of great houses with ocean views. The house will have to have a private yard. I love to garden; and have done a lot of it this year here.... so would like to continue that. It is very unwinding for me. Especially with the stress of everyday life and my father's illness. Very therapeutic. I will post pictures when we decided on which one we go for. I am terribly excited. I want to move NOW! LOL!

Your little one is such a doll too. I really, really enjoy seeing her pictures on FB. I have been very lazy in that department. I haven't updated any photos in quite sometime.

              Hello All,

I made a long post yesterday and another today but for some reason I lost both. Perhaps its a message from the universe that I should be just reading right now. I may try again later.

              Happy Friday.

day 1 here - I listened to the 'you can just have one' voice and had 4 - I was in a situation where I wasn't driving. Not putting myself in those situations anymore. Had lots of 'I could drink each weekend thoughts' while I was drinking as well. I felt left out and deprived by not drinking in that situation and caved as people ordered wine/watching people drink wine and have fun. Over time I will cope in that situation but not for a good while yet.
Time to stop doing the same thing and expecting different results.

Where is Oney's thread that people are saying to read, can't find it?

Greenie, I missed your one year AF! Fabulous :yougo::yougo::yougo: :yougo::yougo::yougo:

Mom3 - are you checking the "remember me" box when you log in? I also copy a long post as it often disappears when I try to post even if I have ticked the remember me box.

Welcome jennyneric! You can do it. I still remember my first AF Friday, it was a milestone for me.

Hello to everyone else. Gotta get back to work.

                        Hi everyone,

It's great to see so many new people here. Welcome to you!

Well I'm out of my yesterday bad mood funk and decided that I might as well just be happy. Greenie I hope you got the mojo back - you too M3! How's the kitchen looking?

I got through the first 4 pages of the Wake Up thread and I have to say it is interesting reading. Will try to wade through the rest today. Anything can be a justification for any action, right? But that action can be helpful or hurtful. You make the choice, and then deal with the consequences.

Not to scare anyone, but the guy who repaired my computer said that Norton/McAffee/Symantec are all useless. I had installed Symantec which shows regular updates etc and he was it was not on! How can that be true? That made me nervous about logging onto anything from another computer. And I"ve changed all my pw's again now. Not that I think the world is interested in me at all, but just as a precaution. People can be so aggressive.

                        Just my current thoughts.

                        With love,
                        T.

Hi Fabbies! Wow what a long busy SOBER day. I'm grateful to be sober too. Couldn't handle it otherwise. For those of you in the USA, they are giving stuff away at Kohl's right now. (obviously not too busy to check out a sale!)

                          Anyway....

I admit to only speed reading, and will have to speed reply as well. Big shout out hello to The Army people!!! Good to see you here!!!

Hi RipperKnicker oops I mean Marshy!

                          Greenie, take care of yourself!!!

So what's comin' down the pipe Lav?

LVT, I do NOT envy your situation.

Gaia, Mr. Doggy is a techie guy - that's our business. The problem with all anti-virus (and anti-spyware, malware, etc.) is that the bad guys are always coming up with a new virus that outsmarts the anti-virus. So it's a foot race. Norton is one of the most popular products since it comes pre-installed on so many computers. So it's the biggest target. At least that's one theory. What we use, and what we recommend to our clients is Trend Micro's anti-stuff.

AFM - how exciting for you maybe moving to a house!! And closer to everything! It seems like so many good things are falling into place for you and that is FABULOUS!

                              Hello Absters,

Well, I'm going to try this again. Marshy, thanks for the tip on the "remember me" button. I never noticed it before.

It's good to see some new and newish folks here who are hell bent on staying AF. I am rather partial to this monthly abs thread and think its a good place to come if you seriously want to be sober.

Lav and LVT. I would like to give both of your husbands a good kick in the arss. I will line them up right next to my husband. I will say no more.

Just found out that our kitchen will not be done til mid December. We encountered some structural problems and there have been other various delays. I am working hard at the serenity prayer (thanks DG). Today, I did not get out of bed unti 10:30 am. I have not done that in years. I did not get out of my pjs today either.

AFM, It's amazing to see how one's mood changes after being AF for awhile. And, it doesn't take that long for it to happen. Here you are feeling happy in the midst of all that is happening with your dad. Keep up the good work.

BB, Hope the witching hour did not get to you tonight. Think of it as a big glass of red poison rather than a nice glass of red wine. I used to hate friday nights for that reason. Don't even think about it now.

Jennyneric, Its Just Me. Good to have you here.

Gaia, glad you computer is back up and running and you can spend some time with us again.

Greenie, what type of job are you looking for?

Bear, I think I will line you up next to the three husbands.

Okay, I hope I can get this message to post this times. Here it goes...

Hello Hello Hello from AF Friday Nite Central!!
:welcome: to JennieEric!! Please tell us a bit about yourself-we LOVE stories!!

BB and IJM- Big congrats on 20 days!! you both sound so good!! BB-I echo teh advice to switch your thinking about the wine. Also, I will tell you all that 3 days shy of 6 mos AF, Friday nites no longer hold any special meaning for me and I no longer have to fight the friday nite/end of workweek cravings.

AFM-how wonderful about your upcoming move!! Is the city Vancouver? I've always wanted to visit there. You definitely do sound wonderful these days-like a weight has lifted from your shoulders. Keep up the good work and enjoy your decluttering!!

Greenie-hope you had a great time at the bonfire. What a great way to spend a fall nite!!

DG-I have Malware Bytes now. Since I cancelled my Charter service, I no longer have antivirus and I'm hoping the Malware will substitute? I have to remember to run it tho. I do also have MacAffe which got installed accidentally I think when my brother's web master installed Dreamweaver on my pc last year. I'm not really sure if it's doing what it's supposed to. It's a lite version I think as I can't really schedule it to run.

M3-hang in there with the kitchen remodel. It will be over at some point, that is for sure. Are you sticking with your exercise routine?

IJM-did you get the fish tanks moved without incident? how do the floors look?

Lav, LVT, M3- :l for putting up with the hubby shite.

Bear-If you truly want to be AF, you need a new plan and a change to your mindset about what AL means to you. That is all. :l

Oney and Popeye!! So glad to see you here but I must admit I did the same thing as Greenie!! I thought I was on another thread :H!! At any rate I was tickeled pink!! Hope you decide to stick around for awhile. The Army thread needs to share!!

Tomorrow I will be learning how to set up an Ebay seller's account, possibly starting a new blog about my AF journey, trying to think of an article to write for my agility blog and finishing my application for a job up in Maine. Oh, and I guess I'll try to answer the phones if they ring at the RE office seeing as they are paying me to do that.:H :H

Had one of those awesome bargain successes tonite. I decided to return the slippers I bought at JC Pennys last week. Don't really need them as I found others for half the price. they were an impulse/pity party purchase anyway. While I was cleaning out my wallet I found a mall gift card left over from last year with $59 on it. so after returning the slippers, I decided to see if any winter parkas were on sale. I need a light weight one to walk the dogs in this winter. I found a store brand 4 in 1 jacket in pink/black for $180. On sale for 49.99. Add in a chenille scarf/hat/glove set pink for $40 on sale for $23. Used the $15 coupon and my total came to $58 even!! How sweet was that??? Boy, if I could do this well everytime, I might actually come to like clothes shopping!!

OK, really must try to sleep even tho I'm still buzzed over the shopping coup. Too bad I have to work tomorrow or I'd be strafing Kohl's looking for the free stuff!!
