Hi Everyone -
Wow, there's so much "content" here - not sure what to respond to. One thing I find interesting, though, is this concept of not praising someone for their progress on getting sober. That doesn't sound right to me either, Greenie. But, as Gaia says, it might be a difference in interpretation by the person who told that to her husband? Anyway, positive reinforcement from my husband has not made me want to celebrate by drinking. Quite the opposite - it has made me feel good because I can see that he likes the sober me better than the struggling, testy, tired, hungover drinking buddy. Well, Gaia, I'm giving you a huge pat on the back for your 6 months - and this is coming from someone who can really appreciate the hard work it took to get there. Big major hugs from me!:l
Greenie, I'll be interested to know if you go to the little "gala" and how you liked it. I'm finding it difficult to be around drinking people - not because I'm tempted so much as just bored. But, maybe the other stuff there will be interesting.
Am searching my armoir for my party undies - haven't worn them for quite a while but will ready them for Friday's celebration!
AA, don't know you but thanks for talking about your success - great to read about others doing well!!
BB, sounds like you were wearing yourself out and that pulling back is a very good idea IMHO.
Pride, LVT, Uni and everyone else who visits today - hope you have a super AF day.
