Well hello to everyone. I am back with a week AF again. Not a bad November ~ 2 days on the sauce the rest AF. I have realized I need more time before I put myself in certain places where I cannot resist a drink. Possibly being AF for a time will have me seeing that I don't belong in these places in the 1st place. My short term goal is to remain AF through the rest of this year and know there will be challenges to face. I would like to eventually be a non drinking person & realize that if this is to happen much needs to change in my life. Well for now I will be more than satisfied with the rest of the year being AF.

Back and still sober. Not one drop of Al has crossed my lips, not has it catapulted itself through my open mouth, or been inserted intravenously.

Welcome Hyper, and great job on deciding to go AF again. At least you didn't have the temptations of Thanksgiving getting to you this week!

If I can bop some YB heads just let me know. I won't try to match Greenie's haircuts, but put a razor in my hand and I'll give Sweeney Todd a run for his money.

Welcome back to the wagon Hypernova. Congrats on a week AF! I'm a lot like you. I had to be extremely careful about what situations I put myself in early on. And today, I am still careful. I really don't have fun being around drinking / drunk people. So unless I have some other purpose for being around people who are drinking (i.e. business event, VERY important family event, etc.) then I'd rather do something else more fulfilling with my time.

Gaia, welcome back! I will warn Mr. Doggy about your razor.

I've been googling around reading up on this whole sugar addiction thing. My googling brought me full circle to a couple of books that were already on my shelf, but unread. Potatoes Not Prozak and another one by the same author. It wouldn't shock me at all if I found out that these books were in some way reference material for Roberta and the MWO program. Anyway, I've dusted them off and also thought some here might be interested in this Dr.'s web site: Radiant Recovery&#174 - Dr. Kathleen DesMaisons, author of Potatoes Not Prozac, The Sugar Addict's Total Recovery Program, Your Last Diet I just went through the section "are you sugar sensitive." Amazing how several of the ten questions involve alcohol. Definitely a connection. Well, we KNEW that. But I've been struggling so much with it lately that a fresh perspective is of interest.

Well, I will be off to the spa shower soon to get ready for AA. I usually don't venture out at this evening hour, but I'm chairing the speaker meeting tonight. Much easier and less nerve wracking to chair than to speak!

So...one thing is for sure. There will be no drinking AL for this girl today!

I don't know about the pizzles Lav makes, but here in this household (aka Mickeyland) pizzles are coveted treats made from a certain anatomical part of a member of the bovine family (speaking of crotch grabbing :H). Lasts a long long time .
Sorry, just couldn't resist. DG-you must know what I'm referring to!!

Had a great day today at the dog shows. I just went to spectate-these agility trials are a bit above me in intensity for now. Someday tho. It was fun. Saw 2 people from agility class and the owner of the facility where I train. It was fun watching them compete at this level. Met some cool teams-one from Long Island who were running paps. Their team name? Paps Blue Ribbon!! How clever is that?? If you don't get it let me know-could be a New England thing only. We missed the paps in conformation tho. Lots of neat vendors-I did manage to buy a few things but showed great restraint on others. Found a possible christmas gift for my brother which I've been looking for for 3 years.

Getting ready to have my tea and read my book before turning in. I a tired girl!!
