One more day of work to go besides today. Hopefully the 3rd floor royalty will deign to let us out early tomorrow. I've got next week off technically but have more than a full weeks worth of work to get through. At least I can do it in my jammies with the TV on in the background and my pups at my feet!! For that i am very thankful!!

Feeling very strong for Saturday afternoon and evening. Will try to get to TJ's for some of the delish drinks I bought for Turkey Day. Not worrying about WW either. Will work on the sugar thing in the new year. I need to get through my first AF xmas season first. I'll be bringing my knitting with me to keep hands busy tho so I don't overdue too much.

We just got back from the city hitting up all the grocery stores..I am making a very tasty lasagna tomorrow for Christmas Eve with many many ingredients and had to venture into the city to get most of it...and I am very happy to report that I am going nowhere NEAR the city at all tomorrow, the place is a zoo! We also picked up lots of fresh seafood for the chowder we are making as well; lobster, snow crab, mussels, clams, scallops, salmon, haddock, shrimp and everything else to make it tasty...our family is going to eat well Christmas Eve. Yummy!

P3, I hope you get out early tomorrow. Work at home in PJ's with Doggies just rocks doesn't it? I need to remember to keep that one very high on my gratitude list!! I saw your post in another thread about doctors and bioidentical hormones, etc. You will not believe how I found mine. (because you are right - most main stream doctors just roll their eyeballs) I called the holitic vet we use sometimes and asked her for a recommendation. Turns out her the doc she recommended (who has fixed my thyroid and my progesterone, estrogen) works with her on some dog treatments for thyroid issues, etc. Not saying that every holistic vet would know someone, but you never know. It's a place to start where you might already have some contacts.

Sugar detox is right around the corner for me.

babysteps, welcome to AF Daily!!! This is a good place for your determination to achieve AFness. I like the quote in your siggy line too. I was at an AA meeting last Friday where we were talking about dealing with the guilt / remorse / shame of the past. We talked about the fact that we don't have to be defined by who we were. We can be defined by who we choose to be TODAY. If I had been a SAINT in my past, but am an asshole today, then I am an asshole. And vice versa. Well, the sainthood part ain't gonna happen.... :angel:

One thing is for sure - I will NOT be drinking any AL today

ETA: I forgot to tell you guys something hilarious. When I was at the mission today, I stopped by the office. One of the guys who used to work in the kitchen has been promoted and now works the phones in the office. We were chatting and he mentioned his little home town, which is fairly close to the little town where I grew up. Not too uncommon for teens to drive back and forth around to these little towns. He asked me if I knew what "road loading" was. :H:H:H Needless to say, after I nearly spit, another person at the mission knows that I "share the problem." :H
