AF Daily - 12/31 New Year's Eve

Morning Greenie and everyone else rolling in today!

Hard to believe it's almost the end of the year already..where does the time go? I need more coffee.

It will be a nice quiet day here for us, lots of movies and food and I expect to be fast asleep when the new year rolls in. Most likely I'll watch some True Blood and hopefully have some dreams of Eric during the night.

Hi gia, I absolutely do not know where the time goes but I do know that wherever it goes, it is going faster.

No inspiration from caffeine....
"Notes From The Universe" was good today.

It seems you have to have an appointment with the sarge to get something from the "evidence room" at the police station so I am still sans wallet. However, I'm sure the appointment will satisfy any residual dumpster ponderings. Must remember to take lysol or something.

Tonight is a party with a group of friends from husb #1 era. Heavy hors d'ovures and Peach Bowl. My college team is playing so it will be a loud crowd of a party. I'm smoking trout with chipotle maple finishing sauce to serve with capers, red onion and cherry tomato halves on crackers. Unless someone has a better idea for serving companions.....Think I'll bring a little folding chair too. And my new pajamas....:H greenie has trouble making it to midnight.

And I need to bake something for the police dept.. I always do after I've been on vacation and ask them to watch the house. And a few errands.. so the time is already speeding by...

bear, I realized I had not said hello yesterday... I simply forgot and was not ignoring your situation. Regarding that, I hope the best for you and don't know what to say other than keep trying.

I'll check in later to see your resolutions. Or like me... lack of.

I'm not feeling pressured in any way greenie........I just don't let that happen! I'm comfortable enough in my own skin these days regardless of everyone else.

Happy New Year's Eve!

WHEW! F'N WHEW! This year is almost done! See ya feckin' later 2010!

I am soooo looking forward to 2011. I am filling my body and mind full of positive energy, for a better year. Like Greenie's signature says, "Your thoughts become things, choose the good ones". That is what I have been practicing as of late.

Dad's obit was in the paper yesterday and will run until tomorrow. It kind of solidified his passing in many ways for me. I got a 'special' thank you for all of the love and support in it. That made me feel great and that I did something good for someone!

Tonight heading up to 'dad's' place to meet with his widow and her daughter. Am so looking forward to being with them and getting some closure; somewhat. SERIOUSLY!

I hope all of you have a wonderful New Years! Be safe, even though most of us are AF. Just watch out for those who are not on the roads if you are out and about!!!

I'm tackling fear this New Year. I earned it, growing up in Dysfunction Junction, but it's way outlasted it's usefulness. Of course, what's scarier than looking closely at what you're scared of?

Greenie, just how attached are you to that wallet? Cuz that guy who was doing something "unrelated to the theft" must've had his hands on it. Just sayin'.

An early dinner at a nice restaurant tonight (Xmas gift certificate), then a movie, then bedtime early; we are having an Open House New Year's day for a pack of church friends. I'll be preparing for it sober and not hung over. I don't really need anything more to celebrate or think on than that, do I?

Good to see you, M3 And LVT (from yesterday)! We're juggling vacation week with sick kids chez Pride, too. So restful (insert sarcasm emoticon here).

P3, mild temps and rain thru Sunday then freezing up again Monday, I heard. Just in time for my commute into the South End. Yay! I'll trade you my 2-door civic for that AWD. You'll hardly notice the difference! ; )

DG, Bear, AA, Pamina, AFM, Chief, Gaia, G-string, IJM, other regs I may be missing because I'm only on my first cuppa Joe, and lovely new faces (English, Life, Ret), calm and peace for the day ahead.

Me too. Looks like it is a large part of my "pain body".

The wallet. Wellllllllllll I'm not sure. We're thinking dumpster boy didn't have anything to do with the wallet. I'll decide on the atachment when I see/feel it. Maybe I'll smudge it.

Has anyone heard from Cindi? Renie came home from rehab and made one post and dropped out of sight. I wonder if they need to distance from the AL focus that is sometimes inherent here.

Thanks Greenie, in a weird kind of way it might have been the only thing he 'did for me' in his entire life...(except for the obvious!)

Made me think if I really wanted to follow him down that route. He died a lonely, relatively young, man from problems related to alcoholism.

Good Morning all! So is this going to be the "lets get through NYE together and sober thread?" My resolutions this year are to pay back the money I owe people/entities and to not borrow any money from anyone so that I can get in a financial position that is conducive to us buying a house summer 2012. Now this is the same thing I have said since 2007 so lets hope that I can do it this year! Good to see everyone and I will be here on and off through out the day to check in! Happy NYE AF!
