    Jubilant January ~ Week 1

    Good Evening!

Sooty-Zumba Fitness is the name of the wii game....I bought it at Amazon.com. I tried it out today...it was pretty fun! I've never done it before so I don't know how it compares. My son was laughing at me as I shook my buns! :H

Rusty--sorry about your team losing the Rose Bowl....but what a neat story for the winning team...I like it when the underdog comes out on top!!

Paguy--cute dog!! Yeah...I have a "white" dog as well....but nowhere NEAR that white!!:H

LBH--sorry, for some reason I thought you were in AZ!??! But I guess NM makes sense since you've talked about getting together with Sped....right??? Or am I totally confused on people?? And I just tease about the weather...I remember living in AZ and TX and thinking it felt cold....your body adjusts pretty quickly!!

Well....I'm gonna chill out and watch a little TV and do little more laundry! Have a good
    1-1-11 night!!!!

      Jubilant January ~ Week 1

Hi SD, Cyn is our troop in Arizona, Sped (Shelley) and I live within a couple of miles of one another in New Mexico where she famously hates the weather while I enduringly like to live here. It is cold now, my pond waterfall is frozen and the little fish are deep, deep asleep. Even I who forever gets up early slept late in a pile of wool, fleece, and cat. Winter is here but we have fragrant pinon and cedar and local chile. Love, Ladybird
      may we be well

        Jubilant January ~ Week 1

Jubilant ones, hello, good night, good morning wherever you may be. Chill - congrats again on your anniversary, Dill thanks for getting us started today.

I had the most pleasant NYE in my life. Mr Tree and I cooked dinner together - a first for us ever - and slowly cleaned up dishes, savoring the quiet and the sleepy dogs. Struggled to stay awake until the ball dropped in NYC, then succumbed. Quiet Bliss.

SD - you are right, it is quite cold for us here in AZ - some of my plants were hit hard by the freeze, but I'm loving the cold snap. Last year I remember being outside in the early dark, and watching the flashlights of hikers as they went up the mountain in the pre-dawn...there was no way I was going out to look this year! But when I did stroll with the dogs, there was a fabulous slip of a moon, and our wonderful Jupiter star watching over the new year.

I too feel that this is a special year. So looking forward to sharing it with all of you -
        Cheers!

              Jubilant January ~ Week 1

              Greetings,
RB, I am glad you are feeling a bit better. Take good care of yourself!

SD, good for you on getting the Zumba exercise. At this time of year it is great to have a way to burn off some calories indoors. I was thinking the other day about our early years in the Newbies Nest. Do you still drink diet Coke in the morning?

Cyn, I was thinking about your story of the Feast you attended with Mr. T and how you were able to joke with him about going up to the bar and ordering the entire bottle of vodka. How wonderful that you are able to use humor to cope! I wish I could. I cannot do that with Mr. D. He has a sense of humor, but not about this topic as it has been such an issue between us. It would help immensely. Ah well. Good for you though!

LBH, you have me imagining the proper presentations for a crayon or a pine cone. I believe I would need to know the color of the crayon before getting serious about that, but the pine cone...Hmmm. How about surrounded by roasted chestnuts, roasted potatoes, rhutabaga, and parsnips, and smothered in a succulent walnut sauce served on a bed of chard?

Lav, my dogs are like yours. They could not even look at a white piece of furniture without it turning brown!:H

              Happy AF 1/2/11!
              Dill

Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!

If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

                Jubilant January ~ Week 1

                Good morning JJ's.....

Had a great day yesterday, put the tree away, and it looks January clean. Unfortunately I weighed myself, and realize that I need to go back to work, as I do better on a schedule.

It is really cold here, with a chance of snow. I don't care, it is winter, it is supposed to be this way.

Everyone, have a great day, AF.

                  Jubilant January ~ Week 1

Hi everyone, happy Sunday - the first of the year! I hope its a peaceful and happy one for us all. I'm off out for a walk round the village in a minute but keep putting it off cos its so cold and bleak out there! However I am telling myself that the fresh, damp, dank air will make me feel better!

SD I looked up the dvd but its one that can only be played in the US but thanks for telling me about it anyway. I'll look for another when I have more time - I did look briefly but some of them are terribly expensive, mega bucks!

Ok enough of the prevarication ...gonna get out me boots and start walking! cue for a song methinks

                  See you all later

                      Jubilant January ~ Week 1

Happy jubilant Sunday to you all

Paguy your little dog is just the cutest little chap, I have to say that being the cleanliness nut I am, my dog is very well trained and every time she comes into the house from outside she stops and stands on a towel for me while I wipe off any sand or dirt.

There seems to be some very calm energy on this thread at the moment, can you feel it? We must jointly be orbiting the light side of the moon and I intend to enjoy it while it lasts. I can't believe the number of desperate newbies appearing at the moment, it's obviously the time of year and I know some will stay and succeed but I feel sad for the ones who will disappear back out there.

I had a great cycle with my group this morning, there are such lovely people and the weather is just unbelievable, it must be 65f. Then I had a long dog walk and came back hot and sweaty so decided to try out the swimming pool  not the best idea, it was freezing and I must have stayed in for all of 10 seconds. :H

                        Jubilant January ~ Week 1

                        Good Morning...ok afternoon now!

Sooty--this may sound weird but are the US wiis different from wiis on your side of the world? I had no idea there were "US" games only..I wonder why??

Chill--you must be so super fit with all the activity you do...I want to get to that point. My counselor/doctor told me he thinks Yoga would be good for me...well, I should say he had me come up with the idea...not like I couldn't tell what he was searching for...kinda had leading questions, ya know?:H

Dill--EVERY morning...get up, go to fridge grab my diet PEPSI, get my banana and then let my dog out! I'm SUCH a girl of routine...like down to the minute almost in the mornings!!! I MAY HAVE a bit of OCD I think...heehee!! I think that's because when it comes to my work, I have basically no control, I just have to take what is thrown at me...whenever it's thrown...my home life HAS TO be different. DO you notice a difference between work and home?

Star, RB, Cyn and G--so nice to see you this morning!! Chilly as it might be....Mr. G, I hope you enjoyed your church today....we overslept....I hate when I do that...I really enjoy Sunday Church!! Just starts your day out feeling so good!!

I plan on doing very little today...perhaps a little cleaning and a trip to Walmart (((YUCK)))---and watch FOOTBALL ALL DAY!!!!! Starting with the Vikings....but my pretend husband didn't start :upset: I'll never see him play another game! Luck for me the camera guy keeps showing him all through the game as they talk about how awesome he (Brett) is!! Then after this game...the Green Bay vs. Bears (oh yeah Rusty)..they got to win to make the play offs!!! It's a biggie!!! So here I go to be 'one with the couch'! There's my Yoga position for today :H

                          Jubilant January ~ Week 1

                          Hi Ho JJers!!
Busy day today. got back a bit ago from an afternoon of fun agility with LOTS of un WW friendly food! We all had a blast tho! We each got 2 runs in and they were hard! I don't know if it's because I haven't done a full course in awhile or because I've been a couch potato and eating like a hog for 2 weeks but boy was I out of breath after each run! DD seems a bit tired now so that's good news.
Hope everyone had a nice relaxing day. It's hard to believe it's back to work tomorrow. Yuck. I think I need to hit the hay early tonite.
Has anyone been watching the new Oprah network this weekend (OWN)? I have and I must say it's good!! There is definitely something for everyone.
OK, time to think about dinner and getting an outfit together (if any fit anymore!) for tomorrow and it WILL be back on track for eating and exercising!!

                            Jubilant January ~ Week 1

                            Good Day Jubilant Ones!

Tonight is the end of an extended holiday from work for many of us. Is everyone looking forward to getting back to the office routine tomorrow?? (Not me). :H

I am trying to get motivated to begin de-decorating the house. I normally take care of that on January 1 but I wasn't feeling up to it. My cold is just about gone today and I'm feeling much better but not well enough to jump into the de-decorating mode. Mr. Partner left for a week in Florida today so I guess I can save that for the evenings this week. That will keep me busy and out of trouble.

I tried a new church today and have to say it was such a refreshing experience. It felt more like a community celebration and conversation rather than a lecture and begging forgiveness for sinning. I will definitely go back and see what develops. So, I have already made good on one of my resolutions this year!

There really are a lot of new troubled souls on the threads these past couple of days. Everyone seems to have good intentions at the beginning of the New Year. Commitment and determination are the keys for me.

Rusty ? When do you leave for Spain?

Well, folks, I hope you are all having a peaceful Sunday. Best wishes for a great week!
