Good morning all,

Like the commercials tell you with the flashing red lights "Vomitting really doesn't have any warning signs" as my little girl showed me last night. We made the toilet a few times, but all the sheets need to be changed, I'm exhausted as hell from no sleep pretty much waiting for the next episode and now I need to wash all my sheets and get this coffee into me as fast as I humanly can..and she's jumping aroung watching a movie while I feel like a zombie.

AFM, that's so cute with Little AFM and the tooth and hopefully this new project does the trick for you!

Det, I love snotty french food and restaurants. I really love getting the Foie Gras when I was in Paris, delicious! What did you order?

Need to get the coffee directly into my veins..I'll be back and good morning to you all.

Good Morning!!
Gia-so sorry about Little Gia tummy flu. this is the second one in a short time isn't it? Yuck. Feel better little Gia!!

Off to WW in a bit. Won't be pretty that's for sure. Then to work. Snow was not bad-maybe a few inches.

Found out there an app for the Kindle for my droid phone! And there are free books to download!! As a child my first love besides animals was reading so I'm so happy to have rediscovered that love again!

I've also been exploring some free podcasts on Itunes. One I downloaded is from Voice of America radio and the show is called Holistic Living. I downloaded Mondays show all about the practive of keeping and making resolutions or as the hosts like to put it, Intentions. Not bad actually. I think I'll download more now that I've rediscovered my Ipod. I can download to my Evo but it's a PIA requiring dropping and dragging from Itunes and it doesn't always work the first or 10th time.

One other goal accomplished this week was starting up my running program again. I'm hoping to do the running at work during lunch (not sure how crowded it will be when the kids come back) MWF and then I'll go to PF on Monday and Friday evenings to do strength training. I feel good about this schedule-doesn't put so much pressure on me 3 evenings a week and it gets me home earlier at night on those 2 nites. Getting home at 8:30 was just too draining.

Have a great day everyone! I'll be checking in from work as I'm sure it will be a very slow day. Then off to my sister's for her annual holiday party although it's a bit late this year!! Feel good, feel strong, AL won't be a problem.

I talked myself into going to an art show/reception last night at that gallery I like. Good move greenie! I met a potter who gave me his card and told me he'd give me a lesson or 2 just to "get my feet wet". Yay! This time I'll follow up! (and he and his friends kayak the river) Before you say anything, he doesn't fancy women....

Off to yoga in a bit. I really like the saturday class. I haven't been in weeks because of the holidays and that I got bored with the senior yoga classes during the week. Unfortunately I didn't replace them with anyting else like I intended.

Tonight at the coffeehouse there is a good group playing Storyhill ::: Singers/Songwriters so I'm meeting friends there. It's at the Unitarian Church and is an AF venue with coffee, tea and deserts for sale. I like the vibe. I can't remember who is opening - an English woman?

With all this organizing and remodeling everyone is doing, I've decided to try to switch the office and guest rooms. Oh wait! I need to finish that bathroom first....:H

Hi ladies,

Pap, she rarely gets sick. I think the slight cold she had just went on a little vacation for a couple days then decided to finish off with a standing applause. Thankfully there is no fever with it so I'm getting soda crackers into her and lots of water since her little tummy is empty and she can't take much else but that and some mild juice and toast and things. I'm expecting her to be bouncing again tomorrow like always. I love the new technology stuff too. It's a lot of fun, but I seem to more into laptops/TV's and things like that. It either has to be really small or really really big. Hah! I wonder what therapists would read into that one?

Greenie, kids will do that. I would much rather take the puke Little Gia then cat puke..that's absolutely disguisting when they vomit. Thank God for my GE washers and dryers and Fleecy. Love the smell of that. And mattress pads!! The potting class sounds fun, I tried that during High School and really liked it. I collect pottery now where ever I go, but I use them daily as well. They're so pretty and all unique, it's a shame to let them sit in the cupboard and only be looked at.

BB, the great thing about kids is although they get sick fast they get better fast - keep that in mind

Greenie, I love pottery, I have it all over the house. I took a pottery class, 2 actually 25 years ago & loved it but my skills were questionable. It was therapeutic though as my Mom had just passed away & I needed the outlet. There is a great pottery now far from here & I buy lots of gifts there. Have fun pottering :H:H

Thanks guys!! Yes, Lav, big difference-in every way (except weight loss :upset. I very rarely have "depressed" days and when I do they go away quickly. That's a huge difference!!

Sorry BB-I must have gotten little Gia mixed up with little AFM-somebody's child had a sick tummy not to long ago!!

Greenie-you sound like you have a rockin' day lined up for yourself!! I remember going to coffeehouses in high school and college-no AL but lot's of weed :H!! I think the pottery class sounds awesome. Hmmmm.......
I agree that cat puke is pretty gross, especially after a mouse hunt (sorry!)

They are threatening us with more snow tonite but it looks like it's more coastal (the poor Cape this year!!). Then a monster will be hovering out on the atlantic for Tues/Wed-they haven't quite come out and said batten down the hatches but it does look huge!! Fingers crossed it goes waaaayyyy east.

Papmom - 8 Months! Yeeeee f'n haaaaa! Congrats to you!!


Gia - Little AFM went through this horrible bout of throwing up around mid December. She had it for a couple of days.. then went away.... then came back. I had her sleeping with me, and had a HUGE bowl with a towel on my side of the bed. There is absolutely nothing quiet about Little AFM when something is wrong, so I had plenty of warning. However, the first night she managed to throw up all over her bed. She didn't have a fever and wasn't lethargic at all. Just throwing up. It was a strange little bug! Wishing Little Gia a speedy recovery and for you some rest! :l

I love Pottery too! I don't have much, as only in recently started to admire. I cannot believe how small my world was when I did drink. Over the past two years, I have an eye for art, pottery, jewelry, and other nice stuff now.

Hi to Lavande, and everyone else. It is still early here - my memory fails me.

Little AFM was pretty excited about the loot she got from the tooth fairy! I gave her my last $3 bucks! LMAO! :H I wrapped it in pretty red tissue paper and tied it with ribbon. Cut out a note to attach which said; Remember to take very good care of your teeth and gums! Thank you for the Tooth, Love the Toothfairy. I am getting a little bit more creative in my sobriety! Thankfully so!

Lily, I hope you are feeling better! It's good to see more new avatars on the daily thread, :welcome: to you all.

I am feeling pretty low right now. Terry is back in surgery as we speak, her bowel is leaking again. I hate to put negative vibes out there, but I know she is incredibly depressed and discouraged. I am very fearful of the ultimate outcome for my sister. So much sadness and heartache around right now.
Hubby and I cooked and served over 130 people yesterday after my brother in law's dad's funeral. Whew. I hope we don't have to do that again for awhile! It went fine, we had almost the right amount of food, but man was I tired last night!

Today I must take the Christmas stuff down if I can get out to the shed and get all the boxes it goes in. Basketball later and tomorrow hopefully a big rollerskating party for my son's birthday tomorrow. The forecast is calling for miserably cold temps and snow, so we'll see.

All I can say is I'm glad I don't drink anymore. Have a good sober weekend all.:h

LVT25-- it sounds like you're going through a lot right now with a death in the family and your sister's ill health. My thoughts are with you.

I made it through yesterday okay. It turned out the worst of the storm missed my area so I was okay driving to work and home and didn't have to shovel any snow. I guess I got myself all worked up over nothing which is usually the case. I think that part of the reason I drank was that it eased my constant anxiety over every little thing. Now that I'm alcohol free my coping mechanism is gone. I'm going to have to find something to replace it.
