Hey JJers-Papmom is here and fine-it's just been a hellish week at work and I am totally exhausted. It hasn't helped that I am eating like crap, not exercising and fighting off the last of the cold I had last week. Yes, John I know-no balance here and that's why I'm not handling the stress all that great. Good news is the pressure should be off for about a month and I will be able to catch up, take a deep breath and get ready for the next onslaught. Next week is down to business with getting back on track with WW and Planet Fitness. Tomorrow we're due for another major snow storm and I've already decided that if there is more than 4 inches on the ground when I get up I am working from home. That 2.5 hour commute in dangerous driving conditions and horrendous traffic on Tues pretty much did me in.
I've been reading the posts every day and you guys are always on my mind and in my heart. For all that need hugs, :l :l; for all that deserve a hand :applaud:here ya go. Everyone sounds like they are in good places right now and enjoying the AF life. So proud of you all! If I do get to stay home tomorrow I'll be able to really catch up with everyone.
Turning in extra early tonite. Sweet dreams everyone!!

The snow is supposed to start after 10 pm tonight - i don't see where we get any choice.

Lav - Those disappearing posts are the worst - it just happened to me the other night. Very frustrating. Yep, I keep looking out my window waiting for the snow to start - it hasn't arrived up here in Bucks County yet.

Papmom - Good to hear from you. Sounds like you are juggling quite a bit. Hang in there - the weekend is almost here. Hope you don't clobbered with snow this weekend.

Sped - In addition to applesauce, I use honey and blue agave as a sweetner. The blue agave was a new addition to my pantry in the past year. I've seen several chefs on the Food Network Channel use it.

To add to my stress, my home computer is acting up again. The only way I can boot up is in safe mode at the moment. Looks like my weekend project will be to figure out what's going on.

Wow, it did equal 111. That is an amazing fact. I needed something to cheer me up, I am in the midst of the winter blues and they stink. Everything is going OK, NF and AF, but the weather and just being cooped up is enough already.

I am so happy it is Friday, no special plans, just putting my kitchen back together and cooking something warm.

Good morning Jubilant Ones!

Looks like only about 2" of snow on the ground - good! I'm sick of it already this winter.

This time of year produces all kinds of dark feelings & thoughts Star. Apparently there is some stuff stuck in my sub-conscious as well.......I woke up way too early this morning with tears on my face, not happy. Who the hell needs that
Think I'll dig out the old Clearing CD to use tonight.

Guess I'll go clear a path for my feathered friends & coax them outsiude for a while. They get somewhat irritable if they're cooped up too long - just like us humans :H

It's 7F here and windy as all get out. Yesterday's snow is blowing and drifting. Schools are all delayed or cancelled. What a winter! I'm with you, Star: ENOUGH!!!!

I watched a recording of American Idol, New Orleans last night. It was fun seeing the New Orleans landmarks and Louisianna sites.

I'm glad it's Friday and we have a weekend to unwind. It sounds like many of us are in need of a little R&R! Self care and balance are hard to maintain sometimes when the real world gets in the way.

Dill, are you snowed in?
We only got about 2" last night but the cold wind is here now as well. Tomorrow's high is predicted to be 23 degrees with single digit wind chills - I believe it.

I'm glad I started that online course this week. My business is always slow after Christmas, perks up again in the Spring. I'm happy to have something to occupy my mind right now so I don't start obssessing over the BS in my life....... Planning a new website is interesting, there's a lot to consider re form & function. The site development process a lot of steps

Lav, we had 5 inches yesterday and lots of wind earlier today. The temps are still in the single digits. We have a tractor with a plow, so no, we are not snowed in. The sun is shining brightly right now and the wind has stopped. I may venture out for some fresh air and a walk. I hear you about being glad for something to keep your mind occupied. I have been registered on a professional development website through my work. I have been able to sign up for online courses to my heart's content in my field and I have been taking advantage of the opportunity.

Hello Jubliants!

Dill/Lav - sounds like you're really dealing with lots of snow up there! Yikes, brings back childhood memories!! Lav, I haven't had a chance to make the squash yet, maybe this weekend.

Rebirth - we're still debating where to go in Spain. We've been to Madrid/Barcelona and Northern Spain (Asturias) and we really loved it in Oviedo and surrounding towns -- just worried about rainy weather. Who knows, we will probably make a big plan and then get there and change the whole thing if it's like any of our former trips!

Hope everyone is having a great day. I'm really feeling great about being sober and planning to stay that way for a long time, it's such a peaceful feeling!

OMG! It does add up to 111???? Why is that? Same with my partner ..and his dad..and my son adds to 11.

John...OMG that freaked me out! How cool is that?! Where did you find such an interesting fact? Loved it. Sorry about your computer problems...it's frustrating. My new Iphone, it turns out, was defective when I bought it and I lost all my pictures from Spain because of it....except for the one Lav was sweet enough to post.

Rebirth-is that nutcase still bothering you? I think I would ask your ISP to help you change your settings so her address gets rejected by the firewall.

Lav-sorry you woke up in tears...and hope you're feeling better.

P3-stay safe in that weather....you sure have a lot on your plate.

I leave for California tomorrow...mostly pleasure and only 1 day of work. YIPPEE!!!

G. , thinking about your country a lot. Had many personal ties to people affected by Hurricaine Katrina. Flooding is so devastating.

Lav, I used mango chutney to sweeten things up although Julian liked it hot and spicy with no sweetness.
