I'm with you Lav!! Arrrggghhhh!! At least I didn't lose power but it was a marathon shoveling session. My sister sent my BIL and my neph over to help. I thought my BIL was bringing the plow but me and my big mouth mentioned that there was nowhere to put the snow. Should have let HIM decide that :H. Anyway, between my neighbors and my family, we got everything shoveled out. My neph used the roof rake and got a good amount off my flat porch roof. I paid him $20 even tho he said not too. He's such a good egg. Here are some pics from today:

All is well here. Yesterday was the 1 month anniversary of my dear dad's passing, and was feeling a bit blue. I am still having a hard time believing he is gone. Although I watched him deteriorate every day.... it still feels like he is 'busy' and not really gone. But, I am doing OK all considering. I've had one good break down on January 13th where I phoned my Nana and my mother bawling. Other than that, I think about him everyday, and miss him a lot; at the same time I am still in a bit of denial.

Work is going well. I am staying disciplined and motivated working from home for the most part. A lot of stuff to enter in on the new system. Time really flies!

Tonight they are having a Family Fun Literacy thing at Little AFM's school. The school board is having it at most of the schools in the City. So we will go to that. Free snacks and beverages. Even though I have been sober for the most part of the past couple of years, I still get this feeling of pride on the fact that I am interactive with the outside world, and able to do things outside of the home. Especially in the evenings. It really does make me feel very good and content in my sobriety.

I still have yet to start my running program though. That nasty cold I caught really wiped me out the last week. I am only starting to feel back to normal today. So, I will try and start tomorrow after I drop the kidlet off at school. I really, really, really, want to get back into physical activity. I remember how great it felt and want that again.

OK, now that I have bored you all to death, I will get back to work. I have to pick the little one up in 20 minutes and need to get a couple of things done here.
