Piper, so sorry to hear about the bronchitis. My daughter is subject to that too, has been ever since she caught it from her first grade teacher! She lost a good deal of time in school because of that but as an adult she's not so bad. Cngrats & happy birthday to your kids! Wow, three 20 yeard olds Life can be very difficult at times. All we can do is our best, right? It's wonderful of yo to look out for your nieces & nephews in addition to your own!

Just back from a visit to the hospital. While I was there my son stopped in to say hello. He's working one of his part time jobs today driving the ambulance for a local fire company. He just parked the ambulance outside the hospital & came right up to the maternity floor :H
Baby Lily slept thru the entire visit! Her chubby red face is just glowing today

Dill thank you so much for this quote I have printed it out and will pop it into my diary to read during the next couple of weeks as I have a couple of difficult days coming along and I plan to read this during them :l
Star send out that resume and you just never know what might come back, what have you got to lose and I?ll keep my fingers crossed for you. When I left university I applied for a load of jobs and went for the interviews even if I wanted the job or not but to get the interview experience. Was offered two that I didn?t want but I gained so much confidence that when the one I really wanted came along I was comfortable and able to handle a couple of tricky questions and got the job.
Papmom I?m not sure what?s happening to your fish but it doesn?t sound good, maybe the hardy goldfish are the answer
Piper you seem to have so much on your plate at the moment and I am thinking of you just enjoy your day and let?s make a pact to get through March AF; it?s a new month and a new start.
Lav we are all so happy for you and your family and another baby arriving soon, the pics look great it?s such a special time, when do they get home ?

I had a lovely day today and really enjoyed myself the art exhibition was great, the food was good and the company was charming and tonight I am planning a long soak in the bath and an early night. I hope you have all had a wonderful Sunday.

Lav you are gorgeous and exactly how i pictured you except for the hair-I had you with dark brown and longer. Your son looks WAY too young to have a son and another child on the way!! He probably won't want to hear that but he'll take it as a compliment in about 20 years :H

TAXES ARE DONE!! DONE DONE DONE!! And I'm getting $300 more than last year!! That will give me a little cushion so I can continue with agility trials this year. The rest will be going to car repairs and heat and to boost my savings account. I don't know how Suze Orman expects everyone to have a 6 month emergency fund when you can't even make ends meet!! I'll be lucky to keep 1 month in there and not touch it for a while!!

Good Sunday Evening Folks:

Nice to see your happy family, Lav and congratulations again on your new granddaughter. And, you get to go through this once again in another month with a new grandson, right?

Dew - Belated congratulations on your 6-month AF anniversary! Great accomplishment - you should be very proud of yourself.

Dill - Really appreciated your quote this morning. I especially liked "May you be content with yourself just the way you are." Finding peace with who we really are can be challenging at times. I definitely have mellowed with age and have given up trying to be someone that I am not and I seem to be much more content and at peace with myself. Thank you for sharing.

Papmom - I haven't gotten very far with my taxes this year. I've installed TurboTax on my computer and have a folder with all my paperwork but it's just been sitting there. I have to be in a special frame of mind to just sit down and do it!

I took a day off from the gym today as it was a 'rest' day. I ran 10.6 miles yesterday and I needed a rest day :H. My half-marathon is on March 13 so my training program will begin to taper off leading up to the race. I am very confident that I'll make a decent showing although I am not expecting a personal best. The best time I've run a half-marathon so far has been 1 hour, 59 minutes, 23 seconds. This time, I am expecting a time around 2 hours, 10 minutes. We'll see what happens.

Busy work week ahead of me. I have people coming into town for 2 days and then I head out of town at the end of the week. At least the week will pass by quickly.

Doing some soul searching tonight - wish I hadn't wasted all those years living life in a fog - sober life is so much better.

The birth of a new baby is such a big deal it's hard to stay quiet

Papmom, my hair is super short these days because I no longer have the patience to deal with it ~ it's always had a mind of it's own. As far as the color goes - it's due to a mixture of Loving Care & water high in mineral content around here, really :H

Jolie, please don't look at your past behavior as a waste of time. The more I read the more I believe that it's something each of us had to go thru in order to learn & move forward to where we are now. Have no regrets, take good care of yourself & get ready for a brighter future I say!!!!

John, I have gathered all the tax stuff into a folder but the folder is going to sit here until YB is in the mood to pick it up & take it to the accountant. They see each other at monthly fire company meetings & I don't have to do everything myself, do I?

Hi everyone :hiya:
Just back after an early flight this morning from Dublin (it's only 35 mins!).
I had a wonderful weekend with so much laughter and fun with the nicest bunch of guys you could hope to meet. What is so striking about the MWO-ers is the overwhelming aliveness that radiates from them, the appreciation of the new lives they have all achieved and the joy of living AF. We shared our stories, from the dark ones to the funny ones and it was wonderful to be in company where I could be honest and open and completely myself.

Lav - even unmaternal me shed a tear at the sight of you and Lily. New life is such a miracle and I'm truly overjoyed for your family. It's also one of my favorite names and you can gush all you like, she is worth gushing over :l

Focused February - Week 4

Yay, the last day of February, the only thing good about February is that it is a short month.

Lav, babies are just wonderful, you are so blessed to live close to your family to be a significant part of their everyday life!

Chill, how fun for you and all involved. When do you go home?

I had a busy weekend, and am really sore from my intense walking yesterday, it is painful. Just an intense Monday to look forward to, it would be nice to have the day off to just relax after the weekend.

I was reading various posts and realized again how grateful I am to be AF, feeling healthy, no regrets, and sleeping like a rock. I have been waking up and just listening to the hypnotic CD, and then at the end, going back to sleep. It feels so good to be well rested. To anyone struggling who is reading this post, it is so wonderful to be at peace with yourself, getting healthier each day. I am thinking of ordering the all one again, as it made me feel good. Anyone taking supplements?

Good Monday morning all!

Lav and PAguy - thanks for the kind words - I still have a lot of living to do so you guys are right - I am focusing on my new life free of the AL demon and really enjoying it!

Lav - so how long do you think it will be before you get to have that baby all to yourself? I bet your daughter will soon need a nice dinner out to celebrate this wonderful occasion? (jk - I'm sure it will be a while before she will let that beautiful baby out of her sight for more than an hour!)

Chill - good point - this place is awesome and since I have no confidants outside of MWO, I feel that it has truly saved me and I've made some unbelieveable friends.

Star - I'm envious - it was nice out yesterday and I really planned on getting in a good walk but just seemed to have too much to do around the house. I like "being at peace with yourself". It is truly a wonderful feeling.
