I'm sure glad I don't drink any more because the :crap: filled day yesterday would have had me really tying one on in the old days. I can't IMAGINE what the :crap: hangover would be like today. I'm sure I wouldn't be able to crawl out of bed much less be ready to go tackle the day at this hour. Poor doggy is still having some issues but no :crap: in the house so I can deal with it.

I had a miserable sleep last night, my stupid mind wouldn't shut off. But that's okay because I won't let it ruin my day! I'll take a nap later if I need to.

The Oscars last night were fun to watch with my BF. It was awesome because I had a cup of coffee instead of a glass of wine. In the old days I would have forgotten who won what because I would have been so drunk. Love AFness!

I am off to take the little one to school I hope everyone has a great day!

Miss Lily & her parents are scheduled to be discharged from the hospital this afternoon. Can't wait to go over & get my hands on that baby later after they have settled in

uni I too love AFness! To think I use to drink a bottle of wine a day...so happy that I dont depend on that stuff.

Just got to beat the binge eating! Still eating rediculous amounts of junk food. It's like I have replaced one addiction for another!

Wow, it was great reading yesterday's thread. You don't know how much I want to be able to comment on everyone's posts!!! Some made me smile, some made me shake my head, yes, I can relate, some made me feel good in my heart. What a great group! And welcome back Sara and EW--and welcome to the new AF'ers!!!:welcome:

Lav! What a beautiful baby! I'm glad you have some new happiness in your life. It must be extra special when your daughter has a child. When my kids have kids--I will actually look like a grandma since I got kind of a late start with my family!

DG--sorry your manner of speaking about your dog's issues yesterday made me cringe and thank God it wasn't me dealing with all that Shit! My dog puked a little on the porch the other night and I still haven't cleaned it up! I know--gross. Something else you said about only having ONE drink--in my case beer--was exactly how I am (was). I can't remember EVER having one beer, and like you said being in a situation where you could only have one--OMG! Panic city. Same with the ciggies. Never could be without them as long as there was beer. Congrats on your smoke anny btw.

It really was fun reading about everyone's accomplishments in life. Thanks for posting that question whoever it was--Cassia?? Sorry, my memory sucks and I don't have time to look back! Anyway, lets do that again sometime.

Last week I kept busy trying to get books done for a client. Lots of meetings and stuff going on as well. We found out Wednesday that our pastors our leaving. It makes us really, really sad as they are quite special, but I am also happy for them, they will make a difference in lives wherever they go. The woman pastor (she is younger than me) told me that I am amazing and she wants to be like me when she grows up. What a compliment coming from someone like her. She has been there for me through a time when I was really coming into my spirituality and I am blessed. They will be going to a church camp facility in the Rocky Mountains, so we will be able to visit. Now we hope and pray we can find someone special to fill their shoes.

Yesterday after church #2 son and I went shopping. My hubby called while my son was trying on track shoes and told me one of #1's son's best pals had rolled his pickup on the way to our house. The 3 boys were on their way to play video games, my son was in the car ahead of them and saw it all in his rear view mirror. This poor kid just turned 16 this month, already hit a pole pulling into his garage-just got it out of the body shop--then this. He was going a little too fast and hit a patch of ice. No one was hurt thank God, but his pickup might be history. I feel for his parents--hard to not be mad, but also relieved it wasn't worse. They had their seatbelts on and I'm proud of them for that. I hope they all learn something from it.

So, I hope this week is a little quieter around here. I haven't talked to my sis yet, but I know she is home, and having her ups and downs. Thank you all so much for your care and concern for Terry and my family.:l

LVT, your story about the kids in the pickup......
My nephew rolled his pickup, was ejected & died of severe head injuries the summer of 2003. He had just graduated from high school. The worry about kids driving never ends.
Glad to hear Terry is hanging in!

Just heard about the mid west tornadoes & the severe T storms down south. Supe hope DG & Greenie are OK - don't think I've seen them here today

Talked to my daughter a little while ago. Eveything is fine & they are home. I'll let them settle in tonight then go visiting tomorrow
