    Happy First Day of Spring!!!

Hello cassia and all to come. Cassia, is this trip a visit or a move?

P3 the imaginative stuff you do is so awesome!! Great news on the fishies!

Woke up not feeling so great - food allergy or something? Hope I can shake it off. The headache has already ease up a bit, but I'm really sluggish and out of sorts. Bah.

Last night's dinner party was awesome! Delicious food! The clouds cleared so we could see the full moon while standing around the fire pit. It was a very enjoyable night.

Need to get some yard work done and other assorted never ending chores. Hope to get some of my friends' chicken eggs later. A fresh omelette for dinner would be nice!

    Do have a super sunday!

      Good almost lunch time Abbers!

That 'beautiful' full moon woke me up at least a half a dozen times last night so I ended stayin in bed until 9 am!!! Oh well.

Greenie, I have all the eggs you could possibly want here
Sorry about the allergy problem. A headache always goes with my allery symptoms too.

Papmom, looks like you had a lot of fun decorating, good for you
One of these days I'll get motivated to change some things around here, just not interested at the moment.

Cassia, I hope your trip is awesome

Waiting to hear from EB's parents.......hoping they come over for dinner.

Here's a cutie who enjoyed her first stroller ride recently

Have a wonderful Spring Day everyone!

        Hello, Everyone!!

Have had a couple of wonderful days at home with husband and two oldest grandchildren.

I have been AF for a few days, now, and feeling much better physically. Luckily, withdrawals were minimal.

What a beautiful little face peeking out from her hoodie and blanket. Enjoy!!

Hope all are having a wonderful day.

        Love,

          Hi Everyone,

Greenie, I hope you're feeling better. Cinders, it does feel good, doesn't it?? Keep it up. Lav, your photos make me want another baby. My baby is 7...still cute as can be, but I miss infancy. Cassia, good luck getting organized! That's my plan for the next two hours. Hubby took the kids to the park and I'm about to start cleaning. I'm actually pretty psyched to have the chance.

Happy to be unhung and feeling pretty sane. I'll go to a SMART meeting tonight, which I'm looking forward to.

          Be well!

Joining you all this Sunday. First day of my A/F trek. Hope to remain A/F until Easter. About five weeks. Then we'll see. Drinking daily even though it's not alot compared to most is taking it's toll on me emotionally if not physically. We entertain so much that it is the excuse I fall back on time after time. Would love to prove to myself that I can do it. The longest I have gone since beginning to drink daily is five days. This time I visited the tool box and took note of some of the best advice there. Will have to revisit it tommorrow at around 4:30 when the first of the cravings kick in. Decided to post here to chart my journey and not attract too much attention should I fail.. again.

              Hello friends,

Just popping in quickly to comment on THAT BEAUTIFUL BABY GIRL!!!! I would love to have one of those too, but I'm too old for kids and too young to be a grandma. So I will just continue to envy you Lav!!

Hi everyone and :welcome:Tipperlette! We had a dinner after church and then a meeting, and I'm just now headed out to do some outdoor projects to enjoy the beautiful first day of spring.

Hello all, I made it 36 hours "unplugged" several hot yoga classes, no phones, no radio, no TV nothing but me and my thoughts. It was wonderful! I am on day 4 and I'm NOT counting. . . trying no to anyway. Maybe I should just say I've been sober since 3/17/2011 and just loose track. Anyway no cravings and two 60 minute hot yoga classes a day and I am sore but getting happier. I cried today when the teacher said (as they do at the end of every class) "the light inside me acknowledges and honors the light inside you" I have not idea why that moved me so much but it did. I'm off to half price books to look for the bio of Bikram and Allen Carr's book the easy way to stop drinking. I will check in later.

Good convo yesterday. I agree with the majority.

One thing is for sure for me today. . .

Hello to all Abbers! It was a gorgeous day here in the south except for way too much tree pollen! I loved the picture of your grandbaby Lav. She is gorgeous! Such expressive eyes. I've enjoyed reading all the postings about how good it feels to be AF! For me it seems to get better all the time. Going to AA has really helped me as well in spite of my fears of it being "too religious". I have enjoyed meeting other people who are fighting the same battles.
Happy Birthday Doggy Girl....a day late! Hope you enjoyed it!
                  Cheers to all,

jenny, this month's mantra on the Chopra Mantra Calendar is 'I nourish the universe and the universe nourishes me'. I smile every time I look at it

Ladies, I have to tell you - grandmotherhood rocks - much better than motherhood :H
You feel lots of joy, love & warmth, etc but without the enormity of being ultimately responsible...if you know what I mean. I'll keep yuo supplied with pics if you like

I pushed my granny butt to wash a car today since the weather was decent. I also raked the straw in the chicken yard so that it's actually covering the mud. Hate walking in there & sinking up to my ankles

Hope everyone has a great AF night!

                        Absolutely! Love the pics!

Welcome, Tipplerette. Sometimes I think it can help to set a goal like your five weeks. I finally decided a while back that I would commit to one year. Now that I'm on day 48, I feel in my heart that I never want to drink again. But starting out thinking "just one year" was easier than starting out with "forever".

Hi Auntie. Great to hear you're liking AA. I have been thinking about trying it out myself. I think I'd have to go to a meeting outside of my home town, since I would worry about seeing someone I know through work around here.

Jenny, that's so cool you've been unplugged! I need to unplug my children. We limit them to one hour of screen time a day, but I've been thinking that we should have at least some days with no screen time for any of us. Only problem is, I need MWO and SMART!

Hiya LVT. Glad you had a beautiful spring day. It's been beautiful but chilly here, and we're expecting snow tomorrow!!

Sleep the sleep of the just, sober people!

Lava, I concur. I am a first time Granny and the little monkey is such a joy. She sees me every two weeks or so and at 7 months recognizes me and graces me with a big grin. I am SO enjoying this time in my life. Yours is such a cutie, seems like a very alert, bright little crackerjack.
