    We have in our midst a special lady who has reached a very significant milestone today, who is an inspiration to us all and who is always here for us........

        Hey all,

        I just wanted to check in properly before march ends! Things have been really busy since I arrived in the states - interviews and meetings non stop. I have a really good feeling about everything. One thing I have decided is that my future is definitely here in the US and I will be coming. Timescales...if I go back and resign, I have a three month notice period so I could be here in July. I have had so much positive feedback around my credentials and it has been consistent positive feedback so I don't think I am taking that much of a risk. My biggest hurdle is that I am not here. So, I need to be here. awesome!

              We had an earthquake this morning 4.2, my bed shook! The sun is out and I'm going to have a chilled out day walking in the countryside but will be up for a bit of Lav's anniversary cake later.... Do we know if Mr G will be jumping out of it

                  I remember we had one here a thousand years ago when I was in college. Woke me up, sounded like a huge truck rumbling down the road......it went on & on.

                    Hey, that stink bug was on the front page here yesterday, Also on the evening news. It will be damaging lots of fruit and berry crops. Yikes!
                    My life is better without alcohol, since 9/1/12. My sobriety tool is the list at permalink 236 on the toolbox thread under monthly abstinance.

                      Lav - I thought of you upon awakening! You are dear to us all, a true leader; by example and by wise words and compassionate heart. Thank you for taking us along on this heroic journey of yours, setting out all the markers on the pathway so that we can also find our paths.                           Marvelous, Magnificant March - Week 4

                          Congratulations on your two years, Nurse Lav! You greeted me my first day at MWO, and have been the enduring cornerstone as our original little group moved from Just Starting Out through General and onto Monthly. Well done my dear and thank for the inspiration and hope in your example. New people have joined in and the process carries on as we each find our way out. I received a PM today encouraging me to surface as I guess there is always concern that silence might mean one is upended in an alcohol ditch, but I am fine, just quietly not drinking for six weeks now. In the past I have always left a door open, so that if I completed a certain milestone or something or other ?happened? I could plan something that involved drinking; it never occurred to me that I could actually shut the door. I did share emails with a couple of members in which I think I channeled some of your ?Lavattitude? as in Just Do It, it doesn?t matter if you are scared, angry, happy, excited, bored, embarrassed, cornered, desperate, giddy, flirty, vengeful, or dead; it does not matter what life throws your way past, present or future, nothing can MAKE you drink so go ahead, bring it on. I listened to myself. I didn't have to slam the door, I just closed it, there is nothing behind it for me. So dear Lav, enjoy the life you have carved out and know that we will too. Love, Ladybird.

                            Happy to be on this journey with all of you as well. Sooty, you are still driving the bus, right??

                            Sunbeam, the stink bugs found my apple, pear & peach trees last summer & did damage some of the fruit. Then the little bastards moved into all of our houses to stay warm for the winter :H The only way to deal with them is to flush them down the toilet!!! Folks at the U of Delaware (not far from me) are looking at a certain type of wasp that they think may take care of the stink bug situation. We can only hope!

                            I've invited my best friend & his Mother to dinner. EB loves to point out the stink bugs - he calls them 'Mi Mom's buggies' :H
