I believe I have fallen into Greenies suckhole :upset:
It's been a solid week of little annoying things, people, etc. This afternoon I found my dog (the Piggy Swissy) panting like nothing I've ever seen & bleeding profusely from the mouth! I looked & looked but couldn't find the source of the bleeding. I was lucky to be able to get my son-in-law here to help me take her to the Vet. She was a freaking mess!!!! It took the Vet about 20 min of searching but she finally found that Maxie had managed to puncture the roof of her mouth with her bottom cannine. How crazy is that??? Maxie ended up getting a big shot of doggie downer which immediately knoocked her out. The hope is that the puncture site will clot off overnight while she sleeps (suturing that area is difficult).

So I ask - what the hell does the universe want from us, huh????

DG, glad your flood is drying up - that sucks too!

Hello Fabberoons, especially Cuckoo, do stay. Congrats on two days. Hang on, Hang on...hang on. The first week is a Bi%$h but its worth it, big time. Find SOME kind of thing to do instead of your usual habits. Mine was to mix myself a seven-up and orange juice with ice and lime. Big tall one. And a hand full of peanuts or jelly beans. AND finally posting here was great. Will be checking for you in the future... I just got so sick of drinking. I remember sitting there, looking at the glass and thinking....do I have to do this to myself? Answer....NO.

DG your description is scary in the extreme. But look at you now. Its amazing.

I felt great today being out in the field on the beaches, and working with my crew. I was so glad to have finished the paper presentation and conference and to have flown out of there and back to the bush. Only problem, my crew did not pack my suitcase for me, (I was coping something off a laptop onto some maps while they loaded the trucks) so its still sitting in the field accomodation house in up 400 kms away to the north, with all my notes, underwear, shoes, etc etc. Lol! So I guess I will be sending someone back to get it. I am SO looking forward to a weekend of gardening this weekend!! Whoo hoooo!
