    Jaunty July - Week 3

    Good morning Jaunters

Up bright and early for a walk so I thought I would start us off. Missed posting yesterday. I was at a show all day with my daughter and when I tried to log on last night the system was down.

Looks like you all had a nice week-end. I laughed when I read about Rusty and her client. Good for you Rusty being assertive enough to have room service. Serves him right having to wait 3 hours :H:H

Lav - Threadmistress, I like that title. Wouldnt' it be great if you could set up some sort of barter system with somebody. You supplied their veggies/eggs and they came and mowed the lawn.

Papmom - Keeping my fingers crossed for you today.

SD - I remember the 3 kid disaster outings!! Someone was always left out.

Chill - so glad that even though life is hectic you are able to cope with it. I too dont know how I would survive this summer if I had not been AF.

Everyone else big hello and hope all MIA's are ok. Check in if you get a chance, we miss you. Have a great week.

Congratulations on 30 Days AF, SD!

inkele:inkele:Congratulations, SD! inkele:inkele: I am sooo proud of you! You never stop trying, and I admire you so much. Please don't leave us again....I missed you! You lucky girl....you were doing all the things I loved to do on the weekend when I was growing up: waterskiing, jetskiing. I m must be near water, that's for sure. You asked what I do for a living and I don't want to be too specific, but I am a trainer in the automotive industry. I own my business and have clients all over the world....that's why I travel so much. Are you ready for football season? It will be here soon.

Lav-enjoy the museum today. It looks really fascinating. And yes, Threadmistresses must have Lavinitude....it's the only qualification you need! Congratulations on your new job! So glad you don't mind working for free.:H

Dew-how are you feeling? How many more weeks of treatment do you have?

Rustop-sounds like you had a busy weekend and you deserve that vacation in Portugal.

A cheery hello to Star, LBH, Cassia, Chill, Jolie, Mylife, and anyone I may have missed....have a wonderful AF Monday!

      Jaunty July - Week 3

      Good morning all...

I was busy this weekend, so did not have time to get on MWO. Again, went to the beach yesterday, it was beautiful and HOT!! Did almost everything I had planned to do, but feel strangely depressed. I think it may just be that it is Monday, the middle of summer, and I have no vacation to look forward too. I really would have loved to go somewhere this summer, but it is not to be. Oh, well. Once I get out of the house and to work, I usually am fine.

Chill, what an exciting time of your life. I realize that you cannot post as much as in the past as you are so BUSY. We appreciate your efforts to keep connected.

Lav, thanks for your continued efforts to keep us connected. The museum trip sounds fun.

Rusty, thoughtless and cruel comments hurt and you were right to just try and stay away from the negativity. Where are you going this week?

      Rustop, greetings.

SD, what a fun weekend. It is hard to keep kids happy, I know that when mine had others over, there was usually some drama. Miss those days as it was fun to be outside all day with kids.

Papmom, love that you are being proactive regarding the job. Good for you.

Have a great day today and keep cool.

        Jaunty July - Week 3

A quick check in from me, the weather here continues to be miserable - it's been raining most of the night and all morning and there has been quite a bit of localised flooding Hopefully we will have a better August and September to make up for it.

I have had a very uneventful morning where nothing went as planned, so annoying. However, I am going to spend a couple of hours trying to clear up my office this afternoon which is getting beyond a joke, then off to the hospital. My son made some lovely smoked haddock fishcakes yesterday and gave me some home so I am planning on having that for tea with poached egg on top and hollandaise sauce - yum.

Well I'd better get moving on the clutter because sure as heck it won't file itself.

        Dewdrop :h
Enjoy today - there will be no other one quite like it....

          Good morning Jaunty Ones

Thanks for waking us up Rustop!

          Hi SD!

Rusty ~ I'm about to post your pics

Star, I think July's moon has been affecting a lot of our moods Hope you feel better soon. I'm still not sure if I'm going to be able to get away for a night or two.......know how you feel about that situation!

Dewdrop, flooding is not good! Hope the skies clear for you soon!!!

Have a good day one & all

            Hi, I'm back!

Lav-thanks so much for posting my pics!:h I PROMISE I will review Papmom's instructions on how to load them from Photobucket when I get the chance. Can't wait to hear about your trip to the musuem.

Pic #1 is the Chateau St. Jean in Montlucon, France, (3 1/2 hours south of Paris) where I stayed with PIA client. The dining room is in the tower on the right, where my client spent 3 hours alone, waiting for his dinner to be served, whilst bats swirled happily around his head.:H

Pic#2 The Eiffel Tower and the Seine River boats

Pic #3 This is the Smart Car. Get this....you only have to be 16 to drive this car and you don't need a license. If you get a DUI driving a full-size car, the Smart Car is the only vehicle you can drive. The French feel that if you're in a Smart Car and you're drunk, and in an accident, this car is so small the only thing that you will hurt is yourself.

Dew-sorry to hear about all the flooding. Good thing you are going through this horrible time (and radiation on top of everything) AF!:goodjob:

Star-I get the blues on Monday mornings, too. I think it's natural after having a lovely weekend off. I hope you can get away for a little while.

Papmom-I am keeping my fingers crossed for you today!

Must get some work done now. I'll be back later.

I LOVED the picture of that little green car!!! Not sure I'd fit..I'm almost almost 6 feet tall!!:H The other pictures were beautiful as well!!! I'm ready for football season too (or maybe just some cooler weather...heat index of 121 today)!!! I shouldn't wish for cooler weather should I....I'll be shoveling snow again before I know it!!??!!! Thanks again for the words of encouragement...it really meant a lot!!!:l Have a great day!!!

                Evening guys

Rusty - loved the Chateau! Glad you are home safe.

Dewdrop - the weather! I went to Braehead shopping today and got caught in serious flash flooding on the way back. :upset:

Well..... Chill is in love :h if you'd asked me to describe Mr B before we met up again I would have said he was great fun, always laughing and upbeat. He is still all these things but now I've discovered that he is also kind, loving, sensitive and romantic too. We spent ever minute of the weekend together, talking into the wee small hours for the last 3 nights. I feel an incredible connection with this man and as someone who loves her time alone I'm surprised how much I'm missing being with him today. Usually it's hard for me to truly be myself and relax with men. In fact since my husband I have never felt this close to anyone. Luckily he is feeling exactly the same and we are both stunned and amazed this has happened. But more than that, we are both just incredibly happy .....

                  Evening folks!

Rusty - sorry I didn't post descriptions with your pics this morning. Apparently the coffee hadn't quite kicked in yet :H

SD, awesome on your 30 days AF
Just keep going forward & don;t look back!

Had a nice trip to the Brandywine River Museum. Andrew, Jamie & N.C. Wyeth are the featured artists. Of course you can't take any pics there but we really enjoyed ourselves. Lily rode in the Baby Bjorn carrier on the front of my daughter so she saw everything we saw & apparently loved it too

Chill, nice to hear you have found happiness. YB used to be fun, laughing & upbeat too but that all changed. He's been anything but for the past 15 years

Here's a picture my son posted on FB yesterday. While I was in the kitchen fixing dinner he allowed the Insanity Twins to raid the baby pool on my deck. He somehow thought it was funny. I didn't when I had to dump that water & clean out all the dirt. My son is 30 going on 3 I think......

Wishing everyone a good night. We have storm warnings so I'm going to close up the chicken house before they get damp :H

Oh Lav, I didn't realize this was YOUR pool! You should have made HIM clean it for gosh sake!! At least its a small one.
The storms missed my part of the state although we did get some nice hard rain.

Chill-Oh my! You should see the colors radiating through the computer! I'm so happy for you!!

Rusty-those pics were awesome! That castle had to be so gorgeous and to be able to stay in it! Wow!

SD-Congrats on 30 days! That is awesome and I can't wait to celebrate 60 with you! No talk of snow please, not just yet! I'm not envious of your heat index at all! Where are you, Texas for heaven's sake?? Yuck, that is just unbearable. Hope it cools off very soon for you.

Star-I totally get the monday blues thing. I guess we just have to jump right in and get it over with. Then its one more day closer to the weekend

Dew-sure hope things went better for you this afternoon and evening. Tomorrow is a new day.

Thank you everyone for your encouragement on the job front. I didn't call them today. Wanted to give them one more chance but since nothing happened the call will be made tomorrow. It's nervewracking but must be done if I'm to move on.

Time to go feed my version of the Insanity Quintuplets :H See you all tomorrow! :l

Hi buddies. A pumpkin patch and three generations of Wyeths, Lav, life can be really good. I love pumpkin patches in the cold fall when the leaves all suddenly turn gray and the pumpkins truly emerge overnight, you are in for a treat. There is a small fine collection of Wyeths also at the Portland (Maine) museum that I once stumbled upon when on foot and looking to get out of a sudden storm. Beautiful. I shall keep my thoughts sharp and clear with you, Pappy, as you evaluate job opportunities. It can be so stressful and demoralizing when searching, but you have good skills and sensibilities, it will be fun to see where you land. Rustop, I am glad you will have a good holiday after hauling horses and keeping the late hours that mothers keep when they are safely raising teens. And Dew, I think of you every day as you take care of and heal your earthly body. I take care of you too in my mind. The last couple of years have certainly taught me a big lesson in treasuring the physical self I used to completely take for granted. We are such miracles. Rusty, your castle adventure had me both cringing and laughing, I really felt for you. I was once trapped for six days on a boat with a hideous person and honestly contemplated just quietly slipping over the side and into the sea. I?d be stuck with you anywhere in a heartbeat. Chill, you certainly sound over the moon, and I know that you have longed for romance and connection for a long time. I am doing well here myself these days, just living my summer life and particularly glad to not be drinking. I think of you Star every day also as while neither of us are particularly ?jaunty?, me by nature and you with the strain of your home life, you find a way to find joy in ordinary things which is a favorite part of my own experience. I like to just live my life. The simple awareness that I experience from not engaging in the pervasive obsession and depletion that is part of my drinking can not be overestimated. In this regard, it has been so good to have you here again SD. I too was back and forth until things seemed to ?click?. I am completely thrilled for you. And you would fit in a Smart Car, by the way, we have one and they are magic inside. They just look really silly on the outside, deceptive little gems. Hello Cassia, Shelley, Dill, Sooty, and anybody stopping by, hope you are well. Love, Ladybird.
                      may we be well

Awwwwwwwww Chill!!!!!!!!!:h:h I'm so happy for you!!! Don't you just love that feeling of falling in love and staying up till the wee hours of the morning "talking" (and whatever) all night!! Hee..hee!! Gosh I miss those days...hopefully someday soon...when I'm ready, it will happen!!

Lav--I'm sorry, but I think it's kinda funny he let the dogs go swimming...I bet they loved it!! If it's hot like it is here...I'm they sure did!!! The one pup in the pool...I think s/he is smiling!! My (little lap) dog LOVES swimming...will jump right into the lake!!! I had to shave her so she could actually swim...normally she has so much hair it drags her to the bottom!! LOL!!

Pap3--I'm thinkin' the next 30 days will go SUPER fast--because I will be dreading each one that goes by (one day closer to school starting)!! And, for what it's worth, I say give them a call tomorrow...it can only show that you are still interested...just my .02!

Dew--I hope you are feeling better! Sending positive thoughts your way!!

LBH--Hi!! It's so good to hear from you....I've missed your beautiful words!!! I haven't heard from Dill or Sooty since I've started posting again yet...hopefully!! Glad to hear you are continuing to do so well!!! Yep, I think something just has to click and all of a sudden it just makes sense...I don't ever want to be that unhappy again!!! And I love it....so I would fit in one of those cars, huh?!?!? I wouldn't have to drive with my head held out the window???!!:H LOL!!!!

Well I better head to bed...this heat really takes a lot out of a person!! Seriously...I got all ready for my son's baseball game today at noon (make-up and hair all done). By the end of the game...my make up had all slid or dripped off and my hair curled up so tight I looked like that comedian Carrot Top!!!!
                        G'd Night All!!

                          Jaunty July - Week 3

Well I decided to have an early night last night with a book and fell asleep a few pages in! Guess I was needing it because I slept right through until 6am this morning, I got up and meditated for 40mins, made a cuppa fennel tea and had a lurk to see how you all are and my you have been a busy lot ? you all put a big smile on my face this morning

Pictures from France which look lovely and yes the Smartcar looks like a little dinky toy car but I guess they are economical too? Pictures of the dogs swimming ? don?t they look happy and mess can be cleaned up but the memories are what matter An eloquent, kind and thoughtful post from lbh and wait for it ...............Chill is in love!! Well I was hoping and second guessing as we had heard very little over the weekend but I am delighted for you ? enjoy every minute the universe is returning all you have sent out and you so deserve love in your life.

                          P3
give them a call so that you can move on, one way or another, you deserve to know and my fingers and toes are crossed for you.

Good to hear from LBH, what a lovely post. Glad to hear you are having a peaceful AF summer. I DO love the heat, smells, flowers, veggies, and routine in July. Things at my house have calmed down with my son gone for a few weeks. I am happy that he has been staying away and giving us all a break.

Chill, so nice you are in love. Your life has changed so much in such a short time!!! Chill, you decided to make changes and reached out, all possible as you are now healthy and AF.

Rusty, loved the pictures, France looks absolutely wonderful. However, it must have been a downer to be with a person you didn't like. Hope this week sends you on a trip that involves nice scenery and good people.

Papmom, I am glad you are going to call and find out. Keep on applying for jobs if this one does not work out, you will continue to open doors.

Dew, so good to hear you are continuing to take precious care of yourself. I too lay down to read and became so tired, I was out. It is really hot here and it takes alot out of a person, even in air conditioning. Sending you health and strength.

Lav, never a dull moment at your house!!!! Those doggies are so cute. They need to cool off too.

                            Have a great AF day."

                              Hi everyone

Little later checking in this morning and as Star said you all put a smile on my face when I did. I think I have the terrible twins triplet Lav. I let her have a swim yesterday in the lake but she boldly ran off into the woods after it and came back filthy! I had to keep walking as you could be waiting for ages so she came home worse than she went out.

Chill - so glad to hear your good news. Enjoy, you deserve it.

Dew and Star - you both sound much more at peace this morning, it is good to see.

I was up bright and early this morning, I took my daughter and the pony to the beach for a ride. The tide was out and it was absolutely beautiful. Not very sunny but not raining either. There is something about walking by the ocean that is so healing.

Hi to everyone I did not mention. Off to IKEA to stock up on glasses etc. Have a great day everyone.
