In the later years of my drinking, "alone" was my preferred setup too. Even in the younger years when I was still a party girl, I drank a lot more in secret before, during and after events than I wanted anyone to know about.
Alone drinking and secret drinking, etc. are not "normal drinking." I wish I had figured that out long before I did!
