Good job on the green eye greenie :H

I think I can say I am the queen of receiving silent/abusive, passive agressive treatment - don't you all agree???
Well at least I am still here & in better shape than ever (in most ways)
      Speaking of such things.......
YB emailed me last night & said he would be here at 5 pm for dinner. He showed up at 3 pm only to leave a few minutes later & said he would be back at 6:30 pm with Chinese for dinner. He showed up at 7 pm. Is anyone else confused or is it just me? :H :H

Sorry to hear about your friend DG. Sounds like she has a rough time ahead of her. Good that has you for friendship/support!

      Hi M3, busy, busy!

GoAwayC., we both had a good idea at the same time this morning - nice! I've been sewing since the age of 12 but never got into quilting. I don't like the tedious work of cutting all the parts & pieces exactly the same size :H
Hope you enjoy your crafting time.

Det, keep us with you on your road trip, OK?

LVT, can't believe you still have tomatoes.......
my garden is history, it's been tilled in......

Hello to everyone - where's Marshy today?

Almost forgot to say hello to papmom - talking about busy!!!!

Little doggie departed the yard and upon return, it is apparent that she rolled in shit. She will not be going into the newly painted bathroom. It is late, dark, and raining. The cat will have company in the garage tonight. That is all.

Oh wait, one last thing..... FECK!

hey Cab-the tediousness of the cutting and piecing together is exactly what I love about quilting! It's zen to me and totally destresses me. I suck at sewing to but with quilting its all straight lines for the most part with the piecing. I send my bigger pieces out to be machine quilted, tied off the blanket for my nephew and for the table runner, either I'll machine quilt it in a very simple geometric pattern or hand quilt same.

Greenie-I have a fabulous hand shower attachment I got at Pet Smart years ago-it has an adaptor that screws onto the shower head arm and the head screws onto that. I attach the hose to the adaptor and I'm good to go. I've used it many times to hose LM (my little doggie) off when he rolls in shit, worm or otherwise. No garage to put him in and if I put him in the basement he would bark all night long. I've also used it when any of the dogs have had a horrible case of the runs and their culottes get wicked soiled. Love my doggie shower!! :h

DG-so sorry to hear of your friend and her struggles. I am amazed that I never got pulled over all the times I drank and drove and yet some people are so unlucky it happens the first time. Sounds like she's in a great position to make a brand new start and she has you by her side so it has to turn out OK!! Way to go on the studying!!

M3-good to see you! hope next week is a tad less busy for you!

Lav-I don't even know what to say about YB. Strangest way of courting I've ever heard of!!

LVT-I too am amazed you are still harvesting! Glad your greenhouse survived the wild weather. I would love to make my own pasta sauce someday-it's the only thing I like tomatoes for!!

Quilting went great tonite. Managed to buy 2 more supplies-A cool chalk pen thingy and a glue stick for fabric. What will they think of next and for god's sake could I just have one week where I just pay for class?! :H

            Good nite all-see you tomorrow!!

              Greenie,
My dogs have been known to roll in some pretty putrid stuff around here - I feel for ya

I have been wanting YB to get his head xrayed for years!
He has always been a bizarre thinker but ever since he had a case of Lymes disease in the summer of 2001 - he's been a damn mess! I think there is something organically wrong with him, I really do. His balance has been off for a long time, I'm noticing non-coffee related hand tremors, etc. etc. Of course he denies everything I observe - can't win with him. My plan is to remain nice, civil, whatever.

papmom, years ago when I did attempt a little quilting I just used the 'stitch in the ditch' technique for the quilting......worked pretty well. It's a pain in the ass to handle on the sewing machine though :H

                Hi Abbolabbos,
Late check in for me too, late day!
Pap, I have an old quilt my great grandmother made, and she just used random mismatches sized pieces of everything. a flannel shirt cut up into a few pieces, a curtain, a skirt, baby clothes, etc. Man that thing tells a story and it looks so cool! Of course it's tattered and torn now, and we don't use it, it's preserved. One of the few things I couldn't part with when I did a major over haul of de-clutter/simplify. BUt I did get rid of over half my belongings, so I was keeping that quilt!!!

BUsy day at work, boss pissed me off. The child was having trouble remembering that I was in charge. I was completely fried by the time I got home.

But one thing is for sure....
                Day 1 again 11/5/19

                  Hello again,

Nursie, those quilts are the absolute best kind! Sorry you had a bad day, but so proud you didn't rely on al to make you feel better.:goodjob:

Pretty much my whole family loves old quilts, but my sister was the quilter. She mostly did the piecing and then had others do the quitting. She bought a big computerized quilting machine, but then she got too sick to use it. Who knows, maybe someday I will take up quilting and carry on her tradition. She made some beautiful quilts.

                  Lav--I feel for ya! :l

Did I mention that I think my hubby has some issues? He seems to be over the silent treatment, but he still struggles to know how to "be" with the boys, esp the older one. He seems to feel his job is to constantly be parenting. He almost always is on their case about something. Therefore, at #1 son's age, he would rather be somewhere else.

Det, I am so glad to hear that pork is a vegetable. And I have a 5 gallon bucket of great northern beans, that spilled out of our truck if you'd like me to send you some. I am known for my crunchy bean recipes!:H

Good night my sober friends, I am so proud of all of us!:h
