Wow Blondie. Reading about your concerns with the drinkers for tomorrow makes me wonder how many times people were concerned about how I would be acting at a holiday afair. I am SO thankful I am sober now. The only thing I have to worry about at these family afairs is boredom. Not a bad problem compared to the old days! I hope your family behaves and it's a nice day for you and for them too! Fight Free!
P3 - hey suprise $$$ in the mail ROCKS!!!! Good for you with some new technology. It really is important these days and I dont' know what I would do without Mr. Doggy to keep it all running around here! Good that you can figure things out on yoru own! (computers and everything else around your life!) I can't count the number of times I've wished we would have trained this or that over the years. Glad you were able to dress it up yourself!
Lav - sorry you had to deal with a sick kid today!
Turnagain - oh BRINING!!! I've never tried it but have read that it's FABULOUS for the birds! I wish I was coming to your house tomorrow!
(((((Uni)))))) I'm glad you see the insurance company ploy for what it is. What a horrible experience though! Count me as another one on YOUR team! :b&d:
Det - I still haven't figured out the whey thing, but the woman who wrote Nourishing Traditions has it in all her fermented recipes. Also, a couple tablespoons in home made mayo makes it last MUCH longer! That is good for me as I don't use much mayo and like to make my own. I drug out my nourishing traditions book and sure enough - a spicy kimchi with whey in there. I was hoping to get to that today but not gonna happen! Thank you for the link though!
AFM - so glad you are feeling good after your treatment!!!
Hi Sunni! No fretting today!
LVT - porcupine needles in the nose??? OUCH! Poor doggie!
M3 - 6AM yoga. You have my respect! And I'm an early bird!
Well, I finished my mega-reading assignment and also did the paper and discussion board entries. Felt good to just get that one out of the way before the holiday!!! Now I only have one class left with any homework to do before next Monday! :yougo: So....no homework at all tomorrow. I will be watching figure skating this weekend and doing what little homework remains + some house chores in between. Life is good.
I'm really excited to be chairing AA meetings on Thursdays right now because chairing the meeting early tomorrow will be really cool!!!! I'm guessing we will end up having a gratitude discussion as opposed to our regular topic, but that of course will be up to the group. I will also get to see some folks who normally work but will have the day off tomorrow.
We are going to my aunts as always for dinner. I already made my dessert and tomorrow I'm making some mashed turnips - a Finnish recipe. Hope it's good!
One thing is for sure. None of this would happen if I were drinking.
