Hi Chill and Rustop and everyone else starting out there day here today!
Rustop, hope to hear from you in bits and pieces at least while your daughter is using your equipment? Love your posts!
Hi Chill, sounds like extreme weather for you today? We have winds blowing a gale off the water this morning. But it's soo bright out my eyes are squinting! No snow yet...will take advantage of the dry day to get my holiday greens out on the porch and containers. Have fun with your friend tomorrow and how lucky to get time off! My ancesters are from Glasgow...I need to see it someday.
Dewdrop, are you checking in here today? I meant to ask if you and Chill were both born and raised in Scotland? As you know I am mostly of Scottish heritage. My grandfather was a "Gray" and my Grandmother a "Weir" on my mom's side. Both from the Glasgow area. My dad's side has a bit of English and Irish I believe. Hence, I have a very pale complexion...lol. Anyway, I love to hear about Scotland so I really enjoy your posts as it makes me feel like I have a bit of a Scot connection since my grandparents have long gone and even then, they had lived in America for many many years. Still had the Scottish accent and I remember them saying certain words that were very Scottish, like "Aye" (sp?) and "wee", as in a "wee spot of tea". I can still here my dear old grandmother's voice saying that phrase. They were both drinkers too, now that I think of it...but not to the extent that I grew up to be. They had cocktails before dinner at holiday occassions but I don't think it was a daily habit. But then again, I was very young at that time so maybe they did drink more than I saw. I remember at family gatherings, they would let me have a teenie tiny glass of white port mixed in gingerale in a special cordial glass...and I was not even 10. It made me feel so grown up but now that I think of that, it seems so wrong to have given me even a drop of AL when I was a small child! My mom told me that one time they had given me some and I would not stop talking and being silly. Well, DUH. See how young I started? Hmmmmm.....
Well, hello to everyone else around today. Hope you have a lovely day and I'll check in later. It's almost 9AM here and I gotta make the most of the morning whilst I'm feeling like the engergizer bunny! Hey, I got the slippers to match and all!
