I love Monday!! I love a fresh start to the first day of a new week!
I'm still in the time warp thing over working on Saturdays. I always think Sunday is Saturday. At least I quit looking around in the driveway for the Sunday paper on Saturday AM.

Freelance work today and visit a haircut customer in rehab (physical kind of rehab) whom I haven't seen for a year. Had cancer surgery and problems so he's just now back in town.
Aslo have to squeeze in stopping by the nursing home to give my dad some chicken bog I scored from the GF I walk the river with. And buy and "do" his christmas cards. Etc...
But I do have a massage/haircut barter today so that's the hilight of the day! This 6 day work week is kicking my arse. But I'm still happy and grateful for it.

Lukalee I hope you are visiting this thread and jump in to join us. It is good to see you back to kick some arse for good this time.

I wonder how loppy lugs is doing.

I am awake, but I don't need to be up for an hour. That's ok, though. I did not drink yesterday, and I will not drink today. It feels good to say that.

Morning guys!

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I am going to my therapist today, dropping the little one off at school first and maybe finish up my x'mas shopping. I only have one gift left to get so I'm thinking since I know what I want I should just go grab it and then I can finalize wrapping and be done with it all!

Only stockings left - woo hoo! Anyway, that's my agenda for today. I didn't sleep a wink last night so a nap will be in there somewhere I imagine!

Oh, that's great about the age limit Lav...I always joke about 29 on my birthdays (ummm, in reality, add 10 years and there I am...yup, hitting the big 40 next summer...ahhhhhh!), but that's OK since I am 29 here with you all .

Greenie, thanks for starting us out! Lucky you getting a haircut AND a massage. I so need a haircut but will have to wait till next week as I've got so much booked everyday this week on top of hosting a good sized birthday party for my mom Mid week. AHhhhhhh! Lots to do there as I'm a party perfectionist. I need Star to remind me to chill out about that...

Hi to Nelz...I just PM's you about the aquarium you mentioned in the General Discussion...now I am thinking hubs and I should start one. Hubs love anything to do with fish including fishing in the local ponds and beaches. He would get into an aquarium for sure. You got me thinkin' man! What a cool thing to pick up instead of drinking AL!

Alright guys and gals, I gotta make my breakie and get moving. I always think I have all the time in the world in the am and then that magic hour when I need to get my butt in gear and take a shower and get ready for work hits me. Seems like time stands still when I'm on here. That is a true sign that I am doing something that I really love .

Speaking of love, sending mine out to all of you! Hi to everyone checking in today. Kaslo, not sure if you saw my post about the stove in another thread here yesterday, but I sure am loving my new ceramic top stove...much easier to clean although I have to use a special non-abrasive cleaner on it but that's just an extra step in the cleaning routine. Now I have to have our furnace looked at and hope to hear back from my heating guy today. As I mentioned the other day, we went to turn the heat on for the first time (yup, Pap, I had to do it!...hahaha) and it started to smoke in the basement (we have forced hot air/oil). I think it just needs to get a good cleaning, that's all. I hope! I'll keep you posted.

I'm already back from my first stint at the barn today; there'll be most likely more of that tonight. Now get some work done, trip to the hardware store later... boy, are they gonna miss us when we're all done with this barn :H

Hello All Abbers,

Well we had a truck load of snow come dumping down on us here in the mountains yesterday. I'm itching to get out snowshoeing the trails, and skiing this week. Good thing I don't plan on bringing my old friend (now the enemy) AL Beast with me he'd wreck my week for sure.

Sounds like everyone is going to have a very busy week. Best to be doing it sober, clear headed and energetic!

Last week the kiddies are in school before Christmas break so it's concerts, shopping and playing outside in the snow! Have a great day everyone!

29 again..sounds good to me. Man I have so much left to do for Christmas..gifts..food..stockings..and my daughter is working a couple of days so she needs my car. Oh well it will get done. I am much more relaxed this Christmas if its not perfect who the hell cares. Life is too short to be going crazy. (which is what I usually do)

I am going to take deep breaths and get through it. I am actually looking forward to seeing family. I have had other sober holiday seasons it is so much better than the hangover mornings and forgotten evenings. Have to go back to work...take care all of you.

Blonde, sounds like you loves your stove. I admire the ease of cleaning, is it as responsive as gas? I have heard yes. Because cleaning a gas stove top is not fun. All those angles and sharp things, and spilled crap bakes on there more effectively than cremation. It reminds me of the shadows of people left behind on benches at Hiroshima. Ok, maybe a bit graphic here, but cleaning that SOB is for the birds. I like the way I can get a roux to go caramel colored over the space of an hour though. So whats it like to COOK on?

Sunni, that barn of yours is better than several peoples houses where I live. Im serious.

Im with Greenie and Lav on the new week enthusiasm. I need as much time as I can get.

Hi all!

Been under the weather since Friday morning.... Guess I am doing too much, and being around Little AFM's school so much during the cold and flu season got me. I was in the ER Friday and thankfully, it is just a virus, but my white blood cell count is pretty low. So, I rested all weekend, and ate well. Just came back from my routine blood work, and then to see the Oncologist at 11:30am. He will decide if Chemo is still in the plan for tomorrow, or if it will be postponed until my numbers are up. Gosh, I hope my numbers are up, simply want it over with, ya know?

Other than that, getting excited about Xmas this year. Last year I was with my dad daily as he was dying, so this year, my kids and I are going to have a nice, relaxing, fun Christmas. This past year has gone by so fast it seems.

I hope everyone is doing well!! Another sunny AF day in my part of the world. Cold, but sooooo sunny out! Love it!!
