Bonjour mon fabons et fabez, je suis apres le petit cookfest in the kitchen for visiting guests. It may be time for a midnite snack were y'all are but not here in the west Kootenays, no sir. I am after keeping Manxine, my little black half manx cat in my office all last night till now because I think one of the guests is allergic, and they have to sing and play for a living which means I have to keep my cats hair to myself. And she is smarming all over me.

Hello to all the new folks showing up on the shores of Isle du MWO hoping for dry land. I can completely sympathize with the need to have a normal life. I found it was quite an adjustment at first but I love it now, and wouldnt trade the focus from where it is now, and a myriad of interesting and lovely things about my life, to where it was before, slogging it out between making a living and killing myself with AL. I mean, I like my job, but that was about all I could do, work drink sleep eat. thats it. Sleeping and eating kind of took a back seat some times.

Sunni, its neigeing its little arse off out there, whats with that? I was checking out the sn___drops day before yesterday, and BOOM! I dont even wanna say the word, even if its a flower. I like to SKI in it, not LIVE in it.

Not snowing here...raining. I am finally feeling normal. That stomach flu/virus was deadly. Good to lose a few pounds though. Chilling out tonight and so happy the work week is over. Way to go Sausage on getting through the toughest day. Love ginger beer too. All the best to you all. Sid

Hi guys. Just trying to post as much as I can... and jump in to some type of AF thread that I can hang on to. I had been AF for 18 months and want to move forward with an alcohol free life. It's much better. I'm actually pretty happy. Just newly married to a great person who is also AF. I have a lot to be happy about and really want to remain AF so I can enjoy my life.

Sunni, the mild temps have put my girls back into slightly better egg production. I have customers whining about not getting enough eggs - geez, I can't exactly squeeze extra eggs out of them :H

Kaslo, I know you would be seriously disappointed if you lived around here - just no white stuff this winter. No one in my family skis so we're OK with a dry winter.

Speaking of family ~ I managed to get one picture yesterday while we were at Longwood Gardens before my camera battery gave out. This was taken just before EB soaked his right arm in the water garden :H

Hi Choice! Good to see you here! Congrats on the 18 month mark and also on your marriage! This is a wonderful section of the MWO forum, glad you joined us!

Well, it's approaching bedtime for this Blonde Chick so I must say my goodnights to you all. Good to see new faces and love the pic of the pool, DG. Wish I was there!

FlyAway, I also had a mess up last holiday season and fell off the wagon in Jan and most of Feb. My sobriety date is Feb. 22nd, so that puts me heading into Day 4 tomorrow. Feeling good and sober on the first Friday night I haven't gotten buzzed in weeks.

Sid, I used to have such a hard time keeping my son out of the fountains at Longwood when he was little - now it's my grandson keeping me on my toes
Longwood is awesome, lucky to live so close. We all have memberships so we go often & hope the little ones learn to enjoy it as well.

Glad you're feeling better sid. I haven't been to see my dad in 2 weeks because they didn't want visitors because of that virus. Can you imagine an outbreak of that in a nursing home!?

I was so scared to quit because I had no idea who I would be without AL and what if nobody, or even worse -ME, liked me anymore? It REALLY is a pleasure to be AF. You'll like you more and so will everyone else. Honest.

Hi Sunshine! I live around Lav's neck of the woods and we've been pretty lucky overall with the snow this year. Have you had much?

Raven, good for you for being so physical. I once was, but now I'm practically a slug. I've got to force myself to get up and move, although I do have some physical issues that make it difficult sometimes. But I've got to do what I can. I love yoga. :h

Sausage, good job on getting through day 1. I've never had ginger beer before!

Kaslo what did you cook up during your cookfest? I'm down to only one cat now, but I love them!

Sidney that stomach bug is nasty. My husband had it and felt poorly for several days. I'm glad that you're feeling better.
