Magical March Marchers - Week 4

Morning all - (the geese are fllying overhead right at this moment, so I think they approve of the April submission).

PMom - I also posted on the old week yesterday, so I saw all your news - fantastic about the quilt show, and what good news about the new car and Paphut, I hope that it all works out. And let's cross fingers that our blossoms don't freeze in the next few days...

Rustop - I am IN LOVE. May I adopt your pony virtually? What a sweet gorgeous creature (uh, some day I'll have to grow out of my 8-year-old-girl/horse-loving phase). I had the same experience as you did with the photos, initially; just the link was posted. But I went back and saw that there are 3 different choices of links to copy - web, and two others. I then chose the middle one - meant for posting - and it then put the picture in the post. Maybe that will work? But anyway thanks for the pics!

Star - I mentioned Jill Bolte-Taylor. I really think it is a very unusual book - the odyssey of her stroke and recovery. Her explanation of how the brain hemispheres work is stunning. When you read (listen) to it, you'll understand when she suggests that we 'take a step to the right'...I've been using that a lot lately...to keep from taking all the wrong stuff too seriously.

LBH - glacial, exactly. I am beginning to be OK with that.

Well my pups are asking to go out exploring where they disturbed the morning feeding of 4 deer, so I'm off to the great outdoors - Take care all - wishing you a magical Sunday -
    to the light

Magical March Marchers - Week 4

      Hi Marchers!

Wow, how did we get to week 4? OMG! Here's to finishing out the month AF! We are almost there! This is my first full month AF in a while. Loving it!

Hi to everyone checking in today...I'm off to work in a few and look forward to a busy but not too stressful day. It's kind of overcast and rainy today so this is one Sunday I don't mind keeping shop...lol.

Thinking of all of you and wishing you a super fabulous start of the week! For those of you with the day off, I hope you fully enjoy it! Hey, anyone see Fly around? I remember that she worked during the weekends like me...I don't recall seeing her in little while. Come out come out wherever you are!

Hi to everyone else! Make it a lovely, healthy day!
Whatever you invest in the circle of LIFE is what comes back to you. Multiplied. What you give to people is what they eventually give back to you. Don't do the math. Just increase your LOVE.

          Mornin Marchies!

Lav - hope the weather holds out - sure is a blah day out.

Chill - just curious - what is a "Positively Alive" group? They must really think a lot of you but that's not surprising

Blondie - I'm getting older so I don't like to wish the month away but I know it's going to pass quickly and you are well on your way to making it an AF one! Good job!

Cyn - can't tell you how many times I've walked out my back door with my two doggies and there are deer in the back yard - thank goodness mine are on a leash (even though we live out in the sticks) cause they would take off for sure and it would be a while before they would come back:H

Happy sober Sunday to Papmom, Sunni, Dill, Rustop, Star - everyone else who stops by.

Went to church early, just finished making some macaroni salad for the week and waiting on hubby to get home from work - not sure what he has planned. Anywho - seems like Sunday's are all about getting ready for the next work week - what's wrong with this picture? I feel a weekend getaway coming on

          Peace everyone!

I'm here Lav. Thanks for thinking of me. :l Just had back to back work shifts and got home around 8:30 this morning after being up since 5am yesterday. I'm wiped out and can barely think straight. Yesterday was my birthday. Tonight I'm going to a birthday party for my nephew and niece. I think I'm 37 days AF and feeling great, although extremely tired!

Weather held out - the garden tilling job is done for my daughter. We stopped & picked up a half dozen broccoli plants for her to drop in immediately. Believe it or not broccoli is Lily's fav veggie

Jolie, my big, lazy Piggy Swissy just sits & watches the deer :H She doesn't even bother to get up :H

Chill, that was a nice gesturefrom your group Maybe you can start a new group like that in your new location!

Hi cyn, hope you are having a good weekend!

FlyAway, wishing you a belated Happy Birthday :day5:
Take it easy today (I used to work those agonizing shifts like you).

There's actually a touch of sunshine out there now at 6:40 pm.

Magical March Marchers - Week 4

                Hey everyone,
Spent the weekend up in the northern part of the state. Worked for Habitat for Humanity on Saturday. It took almost the entire day to remove a window from an old mobile home that had been stuccoed over! But then I got to replace the window. I love doing this kind of work, playing with power tools, something I've never done.
Today a friend and I spent some time doing some slow hiking in the mountains. Terrible to see how much damage last year's forest fires did. More drought predicted for this year.

Everyone sounds great, ready for spring.

Sobriety wise I'm feeling fine but doing things one day at a time. The day counting made me feel a little nuts.
                Nevertheless, Lav, happy birthday tomorrow.

                  Good Evening Marchers!!

Everyone does sound pretty good, it seems, Sped...including you...that's awesome!! I always hated counting days as well...I think the first 30 days were ok but after that for me, I like just the monthly "good job to myself"! Plus, I always felt like everybody else days seemed to add up faster that mine...lol!! :H

Chill--how nice of your group to do a surprise lunch for you...a pink cake and all!! They sound like a great bunch of gals??? (or is it both gals and guys???) SO...how many days until the big move???

Fly--Ugh!! I don't think I could do those long hours...I suppose you get used to it...but geesh!! Happy belated Birthday....have fun at your party!!

Blondie--Great job on completely the month of March AF!! I've also seem you on other threads posting and giving support and advice to other members...I sooooo need to be better about doing that...good for you!! I am not good at knowing what to say to people I don't know...I never want to come across the wrong way...everyone here kinda "gets me" now...lol!!!

Rustop--Awesome pictures!!! I'm officially the last one I think to figure out photobucket!! LOL!!

Sunni--sorry your dig isn't doing well...I know what an animal lover you are!! That has to be hard! ((Big hug)) :l On a happier note...I'm SUPER happy to see you here posting everyday!!!

Dill--How was your weekend?? Your geese story has made it into April headlines!! Nice!!! We'll think about it everyday now next month!! I actually got so much yard work accomplished (my son was at a slumber party that started at 3 yesterday)...that I am SOOOOO sore today I can hardly turn the steering wheel!! I may have over done it a tad!!! LOL!!! My son had a basketball game today as well...wondered how he'd do with very little sleep...he played the best I'd seen him play in a long time!!! Scored 8 points (out of 22)...he was so focused and played tough defense...I was so proud of him!! Maybe I should keep him awake all night for the tournament next weekend!! HA!!

Well....I know it's technically not tomorrow but when I post this it will say it is...so I am going to say it anyway....CONGRATULATION LAV ON 3 YEARS AF!!!! What an outstanding accomplishment!!!!!! You continue to guide and inspire us all on MWO everyday!!!! :l Fantastic job!!

Rusty--safe travels wherever you maybe off to this week...or perhaps you get to stay close to home!! I thought it was interesting what you said about your drinking days at work vs. now..and the awards you won and how well you did...but what a struggle it was....what is it like now going to work??? Just curious?? I COMPLETELY felt the same way....going to work now it SOOOOO different...just wondering how you felt....

Speaking of going to work....I will say one thing...I did go to "sleep" aka "passout" a lot earlier in my drinking days than I do now...I stay up later but get less done if that makes sense??? I don't DO things (like clean or organize compulsively) anymore out of AL guilt!!! LOL!!! But I suppose I better get some zzzzz's!! Have a great Monday Marchers!!!

Magical March Marchers - Week 4

                      Good morning everyone

                      Another bright beautiful morning here.

Spent most of yesterday in the garden and all the flower beds are not in shape. Must say felt a great sense of achievement.

Have a busy week ahead and am having visitors next week so now I need to get
my house in order, major clean up needed.

Off to do school run and then chase the dust bunnies.

Hope everyone has a great last week of March.

Magical March Marchers - Week 4

                              Hi Guys!

I am in Michigan this week, and I will be putting in more LONG LONG days but I just quickly wanted to say a couple of things:

Dill-I love that post.....so a propos for Lav's 3rd birthday party. True to form, you have the exact quote which will motivate all of us to continue our AF journeys.

Shelley-you sound so good....thanks for checking in. You certainly are athletic and motivated.

SD-you asked me what going to work is like now that I'm AF....well, the most obvious one is that I don't show up on a Monday morning with glassy, tired and sad eyes. And because AL is such a depressant (of course, I always thought that didn't apply to ME!), I would sluggishly do my paperwork for my clients at night....many times not finishing my tasks, and then go to bed early. Ugh. Thanks for asking.

Well, off to work! Have a wonderful AF Monday!

                                So much great news.

Lav, gratitude to you forever for your quiet and rock-solid leadership. It's an honor to know you.:l

FlyAway - happy belated birthday, and hope you get some sleep. Chill - you have such a great talent for connecting with people so deeply - I'm so glad you had a good send off with your friends. Sped great to hear from you, I love manual labor, nothing like it...BTW, when I was working as a paint contractor with other women, we called any motorized instrument a Power Tulle...

The clouds here are rushing eastwards over the western hill - Monday morning, places to go, people to see. The birds are having breakfast meetings, flying about in groups - 5 starlings just turned the corner of the house, two set of goose duos skimmed overhead, the lone crow is on patrol. The deer are high-tailing it in the low meadow. All's right with the world...
