    Negative to positive by imagination !

    Dear Folks,

    It could be useful !
    Using Imagination to Change Negative to Positive

    First thing in the morning, imagine yourself tremendously happy. Get out of bed in a very happy mood ? radiant, bubbling, expectant ? as if something perfect, of infinite value, is going to happen today. Get out of the bed in a very positive and hopeful mood, with the feeling that this day is not going to be an ordinary day ? that something exceptional, extraordinary, is waiting for you; something is very close by. Try and remember it again and again for the whole day. Within seven days you will see that your whole pattern, your whole style, your whole vibration, has changed.

    When you go to sleep in the night, just imagine that you are falling into divine hands...as if existence is supporting you, that you are in its lap, falling asleep. Just visualize it and fall asleep. The one thing to carry is that you should go on imagining and let sleep come, so that the imagination enters into sleep; they are overlapping.

    Don?t imagine any negative thing, because if people who have an imaginative capacity imagine negative things, they start happening. If you think that you are going to get ill, you will get ill. If you think that somebody is going to be rude to you, he will be. Your very imagination will create the situation.

    So if a negative idea comes, immediately change it to a positive thought. Say no to it. Drop it immediately; throw it away.

    Within a week you will start feeling that you are becoming very happy ? for no reason at all.
    A learned habit surely be unlearned !!

    2012: Continuous AF for 7 months from May to Oct.

    Big Relapses : 6th November and 12th December 2012.

    2013 : So many ups and down !!

    2014: Has a conviction to stay with a healthy life.

    Another exercise along that theme is something I used to do with my clients, when I worked as a counselor (ironic now, I know) was to get them to write down first thing in the morning, and last thing at night, 10 things they were grateful for.

    It can be as simple as, I have a bed to lie in, I have all my teeth, I am alive, I have loving pets, etc. Its really powerful stuff. Very much along the lines of whatever you concentrate on, expands.

      I like both suggestions Daya and Dixon, will work on my positive visualization to beat this temporary crave crazy phase, thanks.

        Yes, you and me both Just had a huge trigger to drink, A guy I drink with just asked if he can call me. I instantly thought, sure, I'll make myself a vodka. ........so crazy...

          Fantastic, i am a big advocate of positive thinking and being grateful...SO powerful, yet simple. Cahnge the way you think about things and thing change.

            Hi Daya....vodka is my poison of choice too! It is crazy what sets us off to want to drink. Yesterday after it had rained the sun came out and I thought..."wow...it would be so nice to sit in the sun with a bottle of vodka"! I was like WTF...now even the weather is a trigger...crazy! I fought the beast though and didn't give in! It was sooooooo hard but when I woke up this morning I was glad that I did...no hangover! YAY!

                Ah, those triggers. Drink because I'm
                Bored, drink because I'm busy, drink because im sad, drink because I feel great because I havnt been drinking??? It's really soo nuts. I have been asking myself questions when a trigger comes up, as in, it would be so nice to drink whilst in the bath, then I question it... It seems to help.

                    Of course ! As you say every things become trigger for an Alcoholic like us .
                    Example,
                    -Success or failure.
                    -Happiness or sadness.
                    -Sunny or cloudy day .
                    -Beach or park .
                    -Lost or gained: job ,money,prestige,goodwill, friendship,exam,election,game,lover etc.. etc.. etc..........long list.
                    -Holiday or load of works.
                    -tired or relaxed.
                    -night out or travelling out.etc.etc.etc......
                    Though you don't enjoy a sex with Al you want some before it ...your partner starts ignoring you cause s/he never get satisfied with an alcoholic ... so divorce an crime cheating ......What and what ???
                    What happens if you dont drink alcohol ???? Can anybody give an answer ???

                    I mean what are the disadvantages of being a teetotaller ?
