Helloooo! Just trying to catch up; I missed a lot there, going back to last week. Thanks for the Photobucket recommendation, PapMom. I'll check it out. My girls were too busy helping with our guests to give me a hand with my avatar, but I'm glad they were here. Mrs. B tries so hard to take care of her parents and siblings that she sometimes gets overwhelmed.
I hope you're on that call back list. Best wishes.
And thanks for the Serenity Prayer suggestion - that's a great idea.
If I can re-visit the question by StarGazerLily and others about evening activities, in the evening, I admit that I love to follow our Phillies (baseball) on TV. Otherwise, we don't care to turn it on, and keep busy with other things until we collapse into bed. Mrs. B is a merchandiser, carrying boxes of handbags, watches, belts and other fashion stuff in department stores. She works hard!
We try to take walks in the neighborhood, and quiet stuff. A little baking or cooking - I enjoy making cookies to take to work, or hummus (it's so easy!). I love a card game called Free Cell. You can play it with loose cards, or on any computer or smart phone. I also enjoy Sudoko and reading - mostly inspiring non-fiction (Mountains Beyond Mountains about Paul Farmer is amazing) , but also fiction by John Grisham, John Irving, and others. I want to start exercising, but hey, one thing at a time. :H
Hi, Janice. You're doing great! Good for you.
Rustop, sorry to hear about losing your JR. It's never easy.
Lav, I hope you've turned the corner on that poison ivy. Ouch! I love the Matilda photos.
Sausage, you come up with some of the best quotes.
LBH, that champagne story is a classic.
And to Fly, Chill, Dill, Blondie, Sunni, SD, Rusty, Cyntree, Jolie, G-Bloke, TDN and anyone I missed, Happy Thursday. A nice stretch of weather here (I sure hope those chickens dried out).
Cruising toward the weekend...
Love, B
