    July's Jolly Journey - Week 2

Papmom, I am proud of you & I sincerely hope your happiness returns very soon. The Amoryn sure doesn't hurt
My goal was to walk away from work (as I knew it) when I wrote the last tuition check for my son. It actually happened a few months earlier due to getting myself injured falling but everything worked out just fine. That's when I got started with my embroidery/monogramming gig. Maybe something new is just around the corner for you as well.

    cyn, great to see you!
Nice that you found someone to take care of the kids!!!
Matilda is fitting in very nicely, a real bundle of bouncey beagley joy :H
She has an appointment 7/23 to have her lady parts nipped......she doesn't know yet. Keeping her quiet post op is going to be a challenge.

I may end up getting a new car soon - I wasn't even thinking about getting a new one. YB has decided he wants my car because his truck is falling apart. He says he will help pay for the new car. Why you ask? I have no idea! I guess you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth :H :H

Thunder storms rolling thru here right now but the weather forecast for the week remain unchanged. What's up with that?

Have a great night one & all.
    Lav

      July's Jolly Journey - Week 2

      Good morning everyone

Another wet, wet day here. It's becomming depressing at this stage.

Long day at the show yesterday but it was all sand arenas and the rain held off which was good. Daughter got placed so was pleased. She is taking Miss Layla to socialisation classes tomorrow evening, that should be interesting. She bullies the poor goldie.

Lav - good news about the car, enjoy.

Cyn - you are lucky to find somebody so close. I have a girl who used to come in and do all the animals when we were away. At this stage the girls are getting older and have been here the last few times I went away.

Chill, Papmom - live in the moment, this too shall pass.

      Everyone else big hello.

      Rustop

        July's Jolly Journey - Week 2

Good morning everyone - where is everyone??

Had some big thunder storms here last night Rustop. Didn't do a thing to improve the atmosphere as it's still hot, humid & cloudy today. Temps to reach 100 degrees tomorrow & Wednesday
Good for your daughter placing yesterday. Hope Layla enjoys her class

I really should think about doing some painting or some such thing if I'm going to be cooped up inside this week.......hmm.

Wishing everyone a great AF Monday!

          July's Jolly Journey - Week 2

Hello friends, Another hot one here. I met a friend for coffee this morning and got caught up with her. We used to work together but she got fed up with our organization and moved on. I've missed her ever since. I've made up my mind that this is going to be my last year to work. I'm retiring at the end of this school year. I want to be foot-loose and fancy-free like Lav and LBH!!!

I have some pics of the new dog and will share them soon.

          Have a great af day!
          Dill

Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!

If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

            :yay: Good for you Dill!
I only work when I absolutely can't say no to a request. Even then the work (time) is on my terms
Now you can get some hens again :H

This heat is overwhelming, isn't it?

              July's Jolly Journey - Week 2

              Good Afternoon July Friends,

It's a sticky 97 degrees here today and I am working with a new client, but one I used to work with 12 years ago. I was thrilled they remembered me and asked if I would work with them again.

Dill- on retiring. Oh yeah, if you're going to work....work for yourself. I know I CANNOT and WILL NOT work in an office environment...stuck in a cube, hearing people next to me go on and on about nothing.... UGH.

Rustop-great news about your daughter's success in the equestrian events, and I hope Layla enjoys her class.

I had an absolute blast yesterday....on the boat for 5 hours....with an unexpected good-looking, funny and single visitor who kept us entertained for part of the afternoon. GREAT to be enjoying a day on the lake without AL. This goodlooking visitor is also a nondrinking person. Being AF has not hurt my social life.

Cyn-I am so glad you check in with us and that you're feeling better.

Papmom-If I could have a wish, I would wish that I could beam you to your dream job....and it would be well-paying and close to home. I am out of words other than once again, you amaze me by remaining AF.

Ok....my break is over. I'll be back later. I hope everyone is having a super AF Monday.

                How ya doing Rusty?
I'm guessing pretty good after your weekend report

I'm watching the grandsons all day tomorrow in 100 degree weather. I don't think I'm even going to fill the pool for them ~ I don't want to sit out there to watch them
I'll find some other way to distract them, hopefully!

I think we need to start week 3, right?

                    Morito therapy.

Star, I studied Morito therapy for many years... Loved it, just goes to show how far I have fallen through AL addiction in the last few years.

Chill, what a day and what an outcome. I love your attitude and realization that you ARE supported by the Universe.

Dill you asked about the retreat: The Curriculum Covers Topics Such as...

                    Developing greater self-discipline
                    Changing habits
                    Resolving conflicts
                    Softening our hearts
                    Developing a practice of self-reflection
                    Living fully with illness
Developing a realistic view of our lives
                    Clarifying the nature of feelings
                    Reflecting on significant relationships
So it is a really full 9 days. I am excited and looking forward to it. It is vegatarian all week, something I have always wanted to do and tend towards, and will have an opportunity to learn more and live it.

It has finally cooled off a bit and it is wonderful. Hopefully Lav, it is coming your way.

SD, what a great summer for you so far. I agree, he doesn't have to "get it," you will never have to explain more as long as you continue the path you are on. You are happy, healthy and giving out positive energy, impossible if imbibing.

Back to work today, everyone, have a great day.
