Greetings AAA'ers,
I had the tv off all day while visiting with my friend yesterday so I heard nothing about the world until this morning. I think I was better off that way. Sometimes it's good to take time away from being a "witness", as you describe it, LBH. The visit is going well. From what I can tell, my friend does not feel one iota deprived by being 20 years af. She loves and embraces life and is grateful to be living it to the fullest. There's hope.

Lav, You're still in the steam bath? I woke up to 58 degrees! What a delight! The morning walk was so refreshing and Tessa frisked and ran with exuberance! There were wisps of fog hugging the ground in the hilly pastures and it was simple awesome to see. I'll try to send this blessed weather your way!

Good morning to all...

Dill, loved the quote and the thoughtfulness to begin my day. I just don't see where alcohol enhances any situation...I always have a better time with more meaningful conversations, lots of laughter, and a sense of well being sans the beast. It was a lovely Sunday, after the storms we had and the cool off. This morning is in the 50s and sunny, just perfect.

Lav, YB moves slowly, but he moves. Keep on bugging him about the other things that need to be done in the house.

Rusty, it is very upsetting to hear about the shooting in Wisconsin. What is wrong with people, mental illness, and just plain haters. It is really scary that they sell all types of weapons. I don't get it.

Rustop, wow, you are busy. Have fun and try and take some time to yourself.

LBH, hope you have a great week.

SD, good to see you enjoying your summer. It is interesting that you broke up with the man you were dating. I loved it thatyou were just not going to put up with a demanding unreasonable male. Seriously, if he is showing negative personality traits that soon, you can imagine what it would be like later. Good you got out.

Work for me today, and trying to eat clean. Have a lovely day all.

YB really isdoing better on the AD - at least his thinking seems to be clearing. I am grateful for that because he has been operating in a mass of confusion for the past 18 years, honestly.
The sluggishness I believe is due to this crappy weather & the fact that he is turning 60 in October & has never bothered to get any exercise.

It was 90 degrees by 10 am so I guess we are just screwed for the day
Yes, please share some of that cooler & drier weather!

I think I need to just say Goodnight and get into a dark room. I have a muscle spasm/pinched nerve/whatever in my hip so I am limping and scuttling like a crab; earlier I was also grumpy from pain and wishing for a drink, and I wanted to kill Lord Bird Heart for one thing or another, not the least of which was that he was looking particularly young, happy, and healthy. I was feeling quite sorry for myself when I got a call from a long ago boyfriend (he actually very likely saved me from drowning many years ago in South America when I got stuck by the tide in a collapsed lava tube, so we stayed closer than usual). It seems his wife died last week in a hiking accident right in front of him, what a nightmare. I have to remember what is important and how easily it can vanish. Back to counting my seven billion blessings, one of them being sobriety, many others involving all of you, even Lord Bird Heart. Love, Ladybird.

Being fully present for your friend to help him through his grief is more important than answering the call from the false AL god..... But then you already know all that!

The continuous heat & dampness has made perfect conditions for an influx of mosquitos....swell. Now I'm hearing about outbreaks of West Nile virus

LBH I surely hope you are feeling better today. If you rode out all those triggers you are truly doing well!! I so understand the desire to "just say Goodnight and get into a dark room". :l

Lav have you received my cool weather yet? I've been flapping my arms and blowing in your direction!

We watched an inspirational movie last night which will inspire all who watch it to hang on and push through the difficult moments in your life. It's a documentary about a couple of mountain climbers and the climb goes wrong on the descent. The things Mother Nature put them through and the way the one in particular manages and copes are truly inspirational. My friend who recommended it says that now when she is hitting the wall with something, she remembers scenes from the movie and says "if Joe could hang on through that, I can surely do this!" Anyway, the movie is Touching the Void and it's on Netflix Instant. It's nothing to do with alcohol except that it is about struggle and will and coping.

Good morning to all...

LBH, I was really helped by your post, I too am irritated this morning, and your story has put things in perspective. The small irritations need to be let go. I opened the mail this morning and found charges on the credit card that should not be there. My husband gave me a stupid reason, and I feel angry, as he does this from time to time. However, it is not alot, and I need to let go. It is not easy forgiving others faults, but I realize that in the big scheme of things, this is so not important. If something happened today and I did not let go of my anger, I would never forgive myself. So thanks, and I hope you have a better day today.

Lav, good to hear YB is more clear headed, amazing what AD can do.

Dill, sounds like an interesting movie. It is a life challenge to cope and get through everything.

Lots of work today, a busy day. It will be really hot again, so I do not mind being inside. To all,have a good day.

It's true, letting go of these little things & even the bigger things is critical to our survival. I am determined to keep a good hold on my peace of mind now that I've found it

Good day guys

IMT - the anxiety will pass and each time we cope a little better with it as we win back our control. It's a good time to read over some posts from others struggling and see you are not alone and have lots of encouragement on these boards. This too shall pass has become one of my mantras.

LBH - I'm so saddened by your story, the poor man to lose his wife in front of him, just awful.

Star - its a tough one, letting go of things like that, I'm battling with something that's irritating me from another and trying with all my strength to remember to remain loving.

Well I have had an amazingly unpredictable few days! Remember when I complained last week about my life being void of excitement, yes you did all warn me "be careful what you wish for" :H

I came down here to Suffolk to check out the area and see some property. I was coming for one night, maybe two. That was 5 days ago and I'm still here! It also looks like I may have found a home. It's not 100% yet so I'm scared to get excited. It's in a beautiful quiet residential pocket on the outskirts of a small town in the most beautiful countryside, it's all farm country around here and I have fallen in love with it. There are a couple of larger towns within 30/40 mins away where I would hope to find work. Oh and just one other thing, there seems to be romance in the air. :h (Rusty i will keep the MWO Daily fully informed) Anyway I will really have to head home tomorrow to get organized for my holiday away next week with my Parents. If the house does go ahead I will be moving before the end of August so there are a zillion things for me to do. So finally I find an amazing place to settle & could have a wonderful new home as well as a new love interest, it's really been an Olympic week for me and I'm hoping to get the Gold.
