There have been a few problems at work that have all conspired to come to fruition in the same couple of days, and I've hurt my back. I'm going to get a takeaway and pig out in front of the television and feel sorry for myself ........ But I'm not gonna drink ..... So there!!!!

*Soothing pats* to you Kuya, my new almost-Kiwi friend. In the wise words of someone here, there is no problem that won't be made WORSE by drinking!

In the early not-drinking days we are extra fragile to stress as our bodies and minds are also dealing with the detoxing and adjustment process, so stress can loom extra large. Now is a time to take as good care of yourself as possible. Ice your back or have a bubble bath. Splurge on your favourite take-away. Watch your favourite movie or read your favourite book. Eat a whole pack of chocolate biscuits if you must but DO NOT DRINK. It would only make it all worse.

          Hang in there.

          :l

BTW guys, as usual I've gone overnight from too-quiet to too-busy - such is the life of a freelancer. So if I go AWOL that's why.
