AF Daily - Saturday, Sep 8th

    Hello, fabbies,

Did not think that at this hour no one has started the thread yet. I trust you are all having a great AF weekend.

I went "bouldering" today. This is what my Canadian friend calls it. We climbed a 2km long rock river. It was awesome, one of the biggest thrills.

My knees feel like jelly and I have aquired fresh scrapes and scratches to match what I got from mountainbiking on holiday. My legs will looks ever more akward in swanky heels come Monday. But I love it.

(The kids were wearing helmets, just took them off for a break).

    Turn, how is the ankle?

Lav - the energizer granny with the energizer bunny ( and you got to Curves too), you are awesome

Lilly - the trophies belong to my mad golfers ( hubs and son). My trophies are in the shoe closet.

Det - keep that newbie feeling with wifey, it is worth so much. Any hiking recently ?

And PQ - my gosh, shrimp on barbie ... You have to excuse my terrible typing and sometimes loose use of English language, not my first, actually not even my second.

YahYah, thinking of you on your travels.

KY , fast food ChefRobaire, Cantoo the strong, travelling Kas, missing Lifechange, Mick (I do miss you getting us started) and TND, pls do drop us a note - y' all have a crackin' Saturday night.

Wow, Shue - Do your bouldering shoes have heels? I bet you look fashionable no matter what you wear! That looks like a great adventure.

My ankle looks as big as a boulder but oddly enough there is still very little bruising and it doesn't hurt much to walk around. I don't even have much of a limp. I am still icing and elevating and compressing, Lav.

Kuya - I am sending super sandman your way. Alcohol really messes up our circadian rhythms (amongst other things and practically everything else.) I am healing my sleep with the help of valerian root, melatonin, magnesium and L-tryptophan (powder.) Once I take my nightly dose I am usually sliding blissfully into slumberland within 30 minutes.

Hugs to all to come this way today....

KY, I need zero help to sleep tonight, so you can hog the sleep fairy all you want.

        Whoaaa, quiet here today.

Turn, I looked really fabulous going on all fours at times or stradlling big rocks. Should call it "bumming" not bouldering. I was on my "center of gravity" a lot. But I did have a few graceful leaps from rock ro rock ... Amazing way to still and center the mind. I am going back again for more once my limbs recover.

        Sweet dreams, fabbies.

          Hey Abbers,

I have had a super busy day, just now checking in before bed!

shue, very cool looking rocks - my grandsons would love them
I am officially too old to think about climbing anything like that anymore :H

kuya, I still take a handful of herbals to help me sleep at night - they do help!

Turn, glad you are resting that ankle!
The last time I sprained an ankle was the night before my son's wedding, six years ago. Had a hell of a time getting my fancy shoe on the next day
          Hope it's much better tomorrow!

Well, I'm pulling the plug on this long day. Wishing everyone a great night!

Hi Turn, Lav, yeah I use tryptophan and melatonin but last night I messed up my rhythm by eating too late and then had to wait cos you've gotta take tryptophan on an empty stomach. It didn't matter cos it was Saturday night and I have had an amazing and long deep sleep,my first in this, my first AF week ...... So all is good.

A late check in. This morning I was a little saddened that no one was here yet and didn't have time to give it a try.

Shue - love the big blue sky. Looks like you had a good day too. Don't you just love that feeling of exhaustion after being outside all day? P.S. your children are lovely. Enjoy this time.

So much stress this week. I think the exercise helped to keep my head on straight.

Had a good day with an early morning run with my running partner, little shopping then a visit with a friend who just came back from a month long trip to Australia. She took her daughter who decided to stay! I sure do miss my 20's when life was so much easier.

It was a beautiful day and Sunday should be even better.

              See you all tomorrow.

I decided to stay AF for one more day. Just one. That loops into a work week....and I do not drink on work nights....looks like another 5 at least I almost trick myself into staying sober...but, it works
