Morning all ...how are the boozebusting gang today?this has already got the makings of a stormer of a day for me...just finished the post and forgot to save it ..end result,off into the ether it went!!Then at half 9 this morning I am at the dentist for a root canal filling..boy what an exciting morning..

Anyway onwards and upwards............tea coffee on the go I sam on cup 2 now.

Morning ppq..keeper of the "p" stores doin a pretty goods line in them noW.Thaanks for starting the thread yesterday morning and providing refreshments for the masses...tried a couple of times to check in on my phone..but either the keys ar to small or me fingers dont fit!
How are you today then?back to reality after your over indulgence of food?Any plans in the pipeline this week

We were also talking about "life skills" at my AA meeting yesterday. We've all learned to cope with life using AL so the big trick is to learn to cope without it and that's a very big learning curve for us.

Good morning Abbers!

First real chilly morning here but I like the refreshing feeling after such a long & hot summer

The jamboree went pretty well yesterday Mick with only 1 minor injury. My youngest grandson at the age of 17 months inflicted yet another black eye on himself. He's not contented with playing with the toys in the toy box. He has to play of TOP of the toy box & smacked his face on something when he fell off This kid is a little bit monkey-like, I swear!
Thanks for the coffee this morning!

I had my fisrt & last root canal a few years ago!!!!!
From now on any tooth requiring that procedure will be extracted, honestly :H

Wishing everyone a great AF Monday. I have lots of little thing to do today so I'll be busy & out of trouble!

hey all you crazy abbers!
good to see you today. Mick, i hope you didn't chew off your whole cheek! i hate that. i've been putting off going to the dentist, with regards to a crown that fell off, for a whole year. i'm going to call for an appt. as soon as i stop typing.
Molly, i'm glad you wrote about dealing with the daily things. i had to go into to work early today for meetings and i realized that i often drank after (or during) work to "deal" with the stress that i almost always feel after spending time with one coworker in particular-- who happens to be my partner at work. i so easily pick up on all of her STUFF and have such a hard time shaking it. today i walked home slowly, just thinking i don't have to take it on. and i definately won't drink because of it.

so now i'm cooking an artichoke which i will eat with lots of lemon and mayo!! yummy.
and i'm looking forward to spending sometime looking around this site as well as the med site you mentioned, Lav.--thanks again!

Hi All!

Nice to see you back, Mick. Hope the tooth doesn't give you any more trouble. You've caused quite a stir with everyone wondering what it is you do in the wee hours. Maybe you're a druid?

Yeah, those life skills......I'm not sure how many of those I really had anyway, even before I had dedicated my life to AL. Life can be a little scary sometimes. When I was young I thought I could take on the world; it wasn't until my 40's that I realized how scared I really was of so many of life's situations. It is a steep learning curve. I guess other people have been living their lives and learning things rather than burying their head in a bottle.

Lav, it sure is chilly in this neck of the woods, too. I does feel good in a way. Glad you have a busy day to keep you out of trouble! Sending a hug for your little monkey boy!

Anyway, I promised myself that I would tackle some of the clutter I seem to accumulate today, so I'm off. I don't know why I am such a disorganized person. Too much stuff, I suspect.
