Taking a quick lunch and thought i would check in - didn't quite get thru Micks morning wlecome, will go home and read when I have an hour or so free - what the heck is in his coffee???
Mick, others have shortened me to Lassie or SL....I am short enough so anything will work.
But have to say, I was chuffed to see my name on roll call, so will hang out a bit - luckily being on West Coast USA I will not be called on to cover Mick for his wee hours of the morn habits, whatever they maybe..
Sneaking a few at work, so off back to the grind...will check back this evening after getting home without stopping you know where for supplies! Won't stop cos I want to be an Abber too!

Kuya, the fitness industry is pretty crazy here too, lots of 24/7 places. I don't like going to the gym though, I'm just too anti-social.

Dx is off camping with friends so I'm in bachelor mode. ruh roh! just working on being calm and getting lots done. I tend to get separation anxiety like a poorly trained dog. d-oh!

I was considering saving money on gas/petrol by making my own moonshine and running the cars on that but there is an obvious problem there! if I drink all my fuel it would be pretty bad.

I vote "SL" and (between you and me) I get up an extra 1/2 hr early so I can get through Mick's kickoff....ain't they great :h
And yes I think he should patent his coffee (whatever it is) and sell it online.

Mick....be glad you live where you do. I enjoyed your jokes....but, it is serious business here. Watching the polls tonight.....

I only mention the award....because I would not be getting them if I was hungover every day. The first award I got was based on me making my budget at 100%, this time 120%. The longer I am sober the better it gets. I am much more effective at my job....and it shows. I should add that when I was still drinking consistently....I never got an award...huh....who would have thunk

I am very lucky to work for a company that I respect. It is a HUGE company.....that does things right. I must add that the people I work with are top notch. The entire atmosphere rocks.

I have worked at jobs that paid me more $$, but sucked the soul out of me. Unless, I was going to turn to hard drugs....AL gave me the much needed relief from the day. I know now....I should have gotten a new job......but, I was getting paid so much $$ to work at them....I just did not see that option.

Selling your soul to devil I did.....it doesn't work out

I don't regret though....if I had not lived that....I never would be soooo appreciative of what I have today......and my job is a BIG reason I got sober. I know its supposed to be your family and friends.....they were always a BIG part of why I got sober many times.....it just never stuck.

Now that Mommy is happy at her job.....not coming home miserable....sober or not....makes a huge difference.

I even appreciate losing it all. I lost my house, I left my job to go to a worse one.....then one so bad I walked out on. It all happens for a reason.....and I appreciate every lesson learned along the way.

I do wonder what it would have been like to have my shit together and a clear goal path at a young age. I just was not raised that way. I was raised in a blue collar home that thought the best thing they could accomplish for me....was to marry me off. Well, that did not happen. My life has had so many highs and lows......that makes a person. It makes you more compassionate when someone is down.....because you have been there.

Sorry for the long post....glad to be sober....but I don't regret a single thing. I need to be who I am.....and none of that would have happened....without all the BS I had to live through. And BS I did
