KY - well done to your daughter - I have a 14 year old who has to work hard to achieve and this year she has realised that it is she who needs to work and is doing it - she is seeing the difference and is so proud - it is good to see! It is hard when she seems surrounded by kids who do well without apparently trying too hard. Sorry for your struggle last night - the demons were screaming at me last night - it was so good to get up this morning knowing I had won!
Shue, congrats on your anni - enjoy!
Mick - candies, now you took me back. My grandparents lived opposite a newspaper shop in Aberdeen and we used to be able to walk to get a wee poke, and I had a vivid recollection of butter hards! American candy just doesn't compare to British sweeties:H.
Kept busy with errands and odd jobs today, put the flannel on my bed! Tomorrow shopping with a 14yo and 11yo girls - that would be a great excuse for wine afterwards, will have to get myself a different treat. Monday is a holiday, we may all go to seee Skyfall - it has just come out over here, I love Bond movies and we all are big fans of Adele, so I might just open the girls to a whole new world - that of 007!
PM'd Det some ways to lure a haggis to his plate, wonder if he will feel the same when he sees what he has to do to make one :H
Fresh eggs - the best, oooh those yellow yolks - the ones in the store are positvely anaemic!
Well, Saturday evening approaching - have a treat in cupboard, found a bottle of Ribena, off to make a warm Ribena - yummy! stay warm and safe everyone....
