    af day Thurs 15 Nov

    Greetings, all.

YAH, Congratulaitions! That is huge. Let's all dance.

    :band2:

Okay, better than a pity part. YAH, it is very inspiring to be in dialogue with long-term abstainers. It's great to share the road with you.

Sleeping questions... I have been zonked out every since I gave up AL with a combo of magnesium, calme forte, and my anti-depressant. Long-term, I'd like to get off the drug if I can. Folks have mentioned inositol? Any advice here? I took L-tryp for a while years ago. It worked okay, but I was still drinking, so I don't know if it would be better now. L-tryp helps with serotonin production, so it is a non-prescription approach to depression treatment as well. I know it's not advised to double-up on these approaches, so I won't change my anti-d and add anything without doctor supervision.

I've got the flu, so am going to hide under the covers all day. Good to have company.

    Cat

Thanks Mick and Cat. It just seems like everyone is getting in my way, lol. I have stuff to do, can't people see that. Deep breath, everything will be fine.

            CONGRATS ON YOUR 100!

Cantoo .......poke me again girl and I'll be catching a plane :H:H

SL .... As Molly says don't stress about the sleep, last night I missed the wave and was awake at stupid o'clock.....so what! When I was drinking I would often be up REALLY late and was crazy enough to call it FUN......now I find a tired day is just that, a tired day. For me sleep tired is different to this chronic fatigue that won't go.......but I think I may have found the reason for that so watch this space

For now Nurdl, take some extra VIt B, don't take it at night though it stops you sleeping BADLY. Take a double dose for a while.

Also I think my minerals are badly depleted

Kuya, be careful with the minerals. I upped my B-complex and my Magnesium and Potassium. I started getting terrible joint and muscle pains a few weeks ago. When I stopped with the extra minerals that went away. I must have overdosed myself.

You all rock my world! I know that being here has helped me stay sober; as far as the 4-digit club, I only have, uh, how many days to go, Turn? LOL Too much to think about right now, but I do appreciate your support and the kudos for doing well. It is very motivating for me.

Mick, I'll miss you when you're away!. I hope that you have a wonderful time! I'm glad you have your game plan on about avoiding AL. I quite like the new suggested avatar for you.

Cat, I hardly consider myself a long-term abber at this point, but I am working on getting there. I'm just doing one day at a time..... SL, one day you will be where I am (and you will be supporting the new AF peeps).

Hope you get some sleep nurdl and KY! I think natural alternatives are good when they work for you.

I'm glad that legal things are getting sorted out, PPQ! I'm sure that will contribute to your peace of mind.

CanToo, your exercise regimen makes me tired just hearing about it. Keep up the good work. It's okay to whine, as long as you DO IT (says look who's talking...).

Waving to Lav, Molly, and everyone else.

                            Hugs,
                            :l

Just found a med called Alteril - it has tryptophan, melatonin and valerian root in one capsule - anyone tried it???
Thanks for all the help and advise. I actually don't stress it too much as it is not drunk non sleep. I am relaxed and settled, I just worry about how long I can go on minimal sleep before I get effects....
Hope everyone had/is having, and for those in my timezone, will have a peaceful good night....:l

                                well done YAH!

I'm afraid I f*cked up last night and drank while on the road. I'm ashamed and have no excuse.
I'm just hoping I can get this under control asap. at least I'm home now.

                                be well my friends
