Phil: My sponsor recently went for 3 weeks wo/a meeting. It was unavoidable due to health concerns. Even though she has decades of sobriety, it was very difficult for her. Keep your chin up. You'll get there soon
BG: Good for you...a sponsor is a resource you will need for working the steps. I wouldn't call my sponsor a close, close friend, but she helps me understand the program & work through the steps.
