Nurdl, all is good! Sorry if I misunderstood. All is peaceful, too, but getting soaking wet here.

Cantoo, that was so beautiful. I hope we get some snow time this winter here - it's a 4+ hour drive for me.

Golly Gosh me - just signed in and so many posts, will take a bit of reading!
Det - that snowshoe walk/climb sounds amazing!
Cat - next wave of the strom is here - are you safe? near a river or anything? So far we are fine, no trees down and no leaks I can see - but my gutters need cleaning, and there are leaves everywhere! We were supposed to be at the Christmas lighted boat parade, but it would be hard to tell where the water ends and the land starts! Staying in the dry for the night and probably all of tomorrow until this storm passes!
CanToo - wonderful photo - you really are adventurous, I envy you. I have been looking into a meetup group that is local, but have not taken the plunge yet - most of the good trips are during the week when I can't get off.
Cat - seems that you have my ration of sleep, I am still not managing to sleep well, also short on energy - I know it is really early days, so trying to be patient, but it is frustrating!
It is great to hear everyone doing well - had a hankering for a drink today, did housework instead - even cleared the dustbunnies from under the washer and drier, still fancy a glass of wine, but too tired and too late now and I will be so happy tomorrow morning!

          Hi SL,

It is a wet, wet mess up here. My gutters also need cleaning, and it's very unfortunate at the moment. We are safe; there is a creek behind our house but it never floods. We are huddled in for the night. I will have to go out for groceries tomorrow, but I'll remember poor Nurdl and the AWFUL Hurricane Sandy experience she endured - and I'll just go get that food!

Det, please tell me this is snow up in the Tahoe/Renoe area!

Hi SL...... Is this the SL I used to read.......nope this is someone completely different

Remember when you are doing all this positive stuff like cleaning you get hungry, you are working. When you drank you got your calories THAT way, when you stopped you ate gummy bears. Now you have to make a HABIT of regular real food intake. Make a daily, no weekly menu, three meals with three small snacks in between and stick to it. You will be amazed how those 'cravings' disappear.

This, my dear Affers is completely off topic.

I just got a PM from a member called........ Well you know who you are :H:H

She berated me for describing how my three previous cats got 'squished' on the road. She was very upset that I would describe it so. She rightly pointed out what an uncaring heartless biatch I am,

The following link is for her.......to show how much I have taken her words to heart ....enjoy
