Well got all my Christmas letters and cards written - Christmas is the only time I am in touch with relaitive and friends across the world, so I do a newsy letter with photos of the girls - takes forever and each year I regret starting it, but it is important to stay in touch - I do get sad when each year I get less and less cards and more emails, I do love Christmas cards.
Also got a few more things on the to do list done - trying to stay busy, so many of my christmas routinues have alcohol involved, every shop is selling it, every advert shows it, it features in every movie - can't get away from it and I am being sorely tempted!
Please don't let it be Monday already, is is early evening and time for me to sit down and relax - don't wish it away!!!
Well done for the run CanToo.
Hope the shower was not too bad Lav.
Sorry you are having troubles Molly.
Happy Sunday - even if it is over for some - to KY, TDN, TT, PQ, YAH and Mick!
Tis wierd for us Kiwis cos we are Monday afternoon 2pm while you lot are still in Sunday.

Anyway you behind people.....Monday is fine and dandy you will be glad to hear

Yep - the bridal shower was dumb & boring just as I predicted :H
There was some stupid game CanToo called 'Who knows the Bride Best'? It involved answering a full page of questions re birthdate, fav colors, etc. The bride-to-be is my niece & I don't even know that much about her, haven't seen much of her in the last 15-20 years.....oh well & I didn't win!

I'm ready to settle down for the night. I'll go look for my mojo tomorrow.
        Wishing everyone a comfy night.

oy, late night AF hugs from the stormy desert. wind was shacking the house so bad last night I may have got 2 1/2 hours sleep at best. soooo tired today but a nice calm day anyhoos.

did catch a couple fantastic nutritional podcasts last night highly recommended:

interview with John Keifer on Robb Wolf regarding 'carb back-loading' Podcast

and the podcast previous to that one with Tim Ferriss is brilliant also

if I can stay up late enough maybe I'll catch someone on chat, otherwise,

a happy good night to all

Late post here, will put the final touches on the weekend. We put the Christmas tree up today. My son stopped as we started the lights and said, "you yell at me when we do the lights." I breathed deeply. I had to be drunk those times; trees go up in the evenings, always tired, stressed and drunk in the evenings. So I said nothing for a moment while he looked so sad, then said, "I promise I won't yell tonight. Let's make some new, good memories."

The tree looks great, and he is so happy once again. We agreed we have wiped the slate on the prior years. Ah, one day at a time, I make up for the mom I used to be.

Tis funny all the nasty bits we so quickly forget about drinking.....the irritability ! My tolerance for noise or stress of any sort was zero. For example.....my son just arrived on the mooch to borrow cash and that would always make me tense. He always pays it back but before being sober he would sense my disapproval and there would be a bad vibe. Now I am relaxed and all goes fine.......I still wish he would get a job but there is no need for tension between us

My son used to do the setup on his own, while I was passed out in my bed. I bought a new (fake) tree - the that comes with lighs and put it up two weeks ago. He has no interest in decorating it. can't blame him. I didn't do x-mas last year at all! Too fed up with life and the whole greedy season.....

Cat, I'm happy you made a nea memory. It shows me that we can.

Kuya, it's good to see we are nicer people when we are sober.
