Hiya all. Evening those in the UK/Europe - and not sure which day-time the US and Canadians are on as I sip my first cup of tea (switch to bloody amazing coffee soon - Kuya will confirm that Kiwis are serious about their coffee).

It sounds really cold where most of you folk are - I was in Quebec this time last year - so appreciate how cold it can get. Drove through my first real snowstorm in the mountains there - yikes - felt like a Stephen King movie.

Kuya - rats to the person who sent you that PM. We collected our kitten (now a feisty cat) from the SPCA and the poor wee mite has been a stray - some creep had cut his whiskers off. He was really scared and nervous and needed feeding up. Refused to eat fresh food so I feed him on an expensive mix from the Vet. Today he is very healthy and even a good mouse-catcher (we live near farms, not that our house is a haven for mice!).

Hope the fitness regime is going well CanToo.
I have a full day of a workshop - that I suspect will zzzzz me. Better get ready for that and wake the troops up and put the coffee on. Its decafe later in the day.

Good morning to you TreeTops. It's 12:30pm-ish on Sunday for us east coast US peeps. That's why we get a bit confused. We're still posting on the Sunday thread, and getting through our day, evening and a good sleep. We don't even want to think about Monday and all that brings on quite yet. By the time we get to our TGIF, you're into your weekend fun! Have a good tomorrow! We'll catch up but by then you'll be onto to Tuesday, lol.

Did you mean you went to a bridal show yesterday?racking my brain ..yep and thats hard,trying to work out what a bridal shower was!Like you have, pretty foggy out here, was raining last night but it as frozen ,so the roads are a bit iffy.
There was some stupid game CanToo called 'Who knows the Bride Best'? It involved answering a full page of questions re birthdate, fav colors, etc. The bride-to-be is my niece & I don't even know that much about her, haven't seen much of her in the last 15-20 years.....oh well & I didn't win!...That was absolutely brill that post....We had aprog over here called grumpy old men twas ace..and that comment certainly would fit in well :H

Happy Birthday, YahYah! What are your plans for the day? Hope you have a great one.

Kuya and Tree, must be so nice starting summer. I love warm weather, and do not do cold well. We were supposed to have temps around 50F yesterday, and it never got past 45. And it was gray, foggy, dreary all day. My plans for an afternoon walk never materialized. We got rain last night and it is already mid-forties now, so hopefully today and the next two days will be warmer. Not sure we'll see any sun, though.

Mick, I made four dozen cookies, and two dozen made it to church. Mr TDN probably ate another six and so did I:H I need to give up sugar, which only seems to tempt me when I go AF. Most people gsin weight while drinking, but I usually lost weight, as I didn't eat much. These cookies are made with a cake mix--saw the recipe on FB and had to try it--and they are delicious. Thsi week I am going to try to make madeleines, so I can perfect the recipe for a trifle for a party on Friday night. We'll see!

Still working on my project for my other part time job and really need to finish up this a.m. After that, not sure what we'll do, but may ask Mr TDN to do a bit of shopping. I don't live near anything I can walk to, so have to depend on him. Hope to get an update on my license today, but even then, not sure how I can get everything done in to weeks. More about that later.

Lav, I think of you every day when I take my Amoryn! It really does work--as long as I am not drinking, as I would either forget to take it or just not bother. I do take a bunch of vitamins and supps, but I think the Inositol and Amoryn do the most for me. I have all the recommended things from Seven Weeks To Sobriety, and may start adding. There are so many that it is hard to get them all in!

Hi everyone! Thank you kindly for all of your birthday wishes. It will be business as usual today, although I have an easy day with clients, which will be nice. My present to myself was the yarn spinning class I took on Saturday. I think I will change my screen name to "Forever 39". LOL--not even close!

Molls, thanks for sharing what is going on in your life. I can appreciate that you were a little torn up about it. You handled it well. I hope your little grandone will do okay. It's so painful when your kids/grandkids are suffering and there's not much you can really do except be there for them.

Treetops, I'm jealous that you are heading into summer. I hope you survived your workshops okay, if not, a good nap is always a pleasure! Good on you for giving your little kitty a good home.

These warm days in December do bring the bugs out YahYah - Stella & the girls are just standing in the yard waiting for one to drop :H
The shower yesterday was actually kinda crappy but I'm more concerned about the major mood swing my daughter had. She was growling when I stopped to pick her up & took out all her frustrations on me
My skin is thick enough to not let her behavior get me down but really......

I'm trying to forget that I too have a birthday this month - oh joy.

3Dog, I used to be a huge supplement junkie and while I still take some i've cut way back now. My concentration is on getting my macronutrient ratios right and keeping them that way. that's the critical thing I've found as it makes huge differences in hormone balance which effects basically everything in our bodies from system inflammation to cardiac health.

And Lav--so sorry that your daughter vented like that. Any idea what got her so upset? Think you said she wouldn't even go to the shower. Agree with YahYah, hope she apologizes soon. You are such a wonderful mother and grandmother.

For the first time in eleven days, I had some anxiety and cravings today. I am getting really nervous about the license thing. And Mr TDN is my biggest trigger, unfortunately. But I decided to come here, which is so helpful. Also took a Seredyn.
