              Good for you Cashy.

Well, it's my youngest's 21st birthday today. He's having a party on Friday. I'm determined to enjoy it, WITHOUT any back-up from the bottle.
I hope you all have/are having a great day.

Hello chaps, so much positive energy here today.

Cashy well done, that's awesome. and the fags too! You are all clean and shiny and new!

Louise - AF and now getting all slinky too... there's no stopping you. What are you doing on Saturday? You'll be pleased to hear I am cooking a BIG Irish Stew (I make the BEST one) for a party.

i'm following up behind you Cashy but am off cigs (since xmas), booze (16 days) and anti-depressants (2 months). and am excercising and have lost about 6lbs. Feels wonderful doesn't it? Just hope I can carry on....

Have a great day one and all, K x

                  Hi Kate,
Not a lot planned for St Paddys day, just thought I would strip naked, paint myself green, stand in Trafalgar Square and belt out a few lines of When Irish Eyes Are Smiling, followed by that old perennial, Danny Boy....

All in all no different to most weekends..

Irish - that is awesome - I will actually be in Trafalgar Square on St Paddy's day! Oh heavens I shall bring my camera. 74 days today for me today - I am at a hotel with open bar every night and truly the ice water looks so much nicer that the wine. They also upgraded all my flights to first class and I'm going a bit wild on the way home - I think I shall ask for a 1/2 diet coke and 1/2 cranberry juice. Interestingly last night at the open bar I watched people nursing one glass of wine all evening and I knew - without regret or even nostalgia- that they were different than I am. I would not be happy with one glass of wine - but I was completely happy with ice water. I guess it was the first time I have been in a situation like that and been able to watch dispassionately - to fully embrace who I am now- with out jealousy or regret. I cannot drink but it is okay - fine - even great - Sorry - another ramble - thanks for listening.

you know, I felt that the other night - sat next to a couple at dinner: the woman made 1 glass of wine last all night and I thought "you FREAK!" I didn't want to drink it, blessed teetotaller that I am, but I could not relate at all.

enjoy London - hope you have a good hotel, here are some truly great ones there.

Kate thanks you! I am staying with my kids in a hostel - far cry from a great hotel but it will be fun regardless.

                          Thanks for the good wishes.

                            Wed March 14th - Day 30!!!!

Way to go Cashyyyyyyyy!!!! Fabbity fab fab noos my friend......I'm there with the AF, the healthy diet and trim physique....but gaaahhhggghh....still look like Patsy out of Absolutely Fabulous, as there is always a roll up taped to the melonhand.....the weed is not going from this girls handbag quite yet, so I admire anyone who has successfully biffed it by the wayside.

Joining you Oirish in your weekend shindig..we have a big Oirish community here in sheepsville, and the local pub near where I work is a tasteful little Irish watering hole called the Dogs Bollix.....Many a pint of guiness will be quaffed there I have no doubt! I much prefer your idea of a St Pats day celebration though!!!!! Please post photos missus!!

Good luck with the party Popeye...we have a big spate of anti drinking adverts on tv at the moment here, with the slogan 'it's not the drinking, it's HOW we're drinking', and the latest one shows a father at his kids party getting drunker and drunker and then embarrassing the hell out of her in front of her friends, when he dances like a goon and then collapses....very thought provoking I can tell you...this is NOT going to be you, my favourite spinach muncher...have a great time without the red face, I know you will!!!

The rain is pouring darn in Auckland, absolutely bucketing...looks like Autumn has suddenly arrived...I was soaked yesterday as the boy and I were caught in a Huuuugggeee downpour in the middle of our after school walk....I ran like Roger Bannister with him in his wheelchair through the streets of Ponsonby, and we broke a few records, a couple of toenails...and had a GREAT time....we were absolutely helpless with laughter by the time we arrived back at his house....simple things eh???? But I must say, I am appreciating them more every day...what a great life!!!

Love to all who have been, all who are coming, and a dollop of slobber to everyone
                            Whooh hooooohhhh!!! Weemelon xxx

                              Wed March 14th - Day 30!!!!

Whew! Finally done with flags, taxes, online financial aid forms, etc. Thank the Lord! I wish I could say I had done it completely AF, but I can't, unfortunately. However, AF wine has gone a long way in cutting down the comsumption of the actual alcohol, although the habit still feels strong--ugh! This exhausted YAH is very relieved to be done with all of this stuff and looking forward to getting back to the program and taking care of herself. The last order of business is straightening up the explosion of papers in my office space (although not the mess it was before!).

I'm glad to see everyone is doing well. I've been reading, though not posting much. Take care all.
