    Welcome back, Daisy!! Glad you are here! Drinking through the holidays would be awful, cause it would make it easy to continue in the new year. So maybe we can all help each other through

          I do. Thanks LG. I will explain more later. Sick of it all. Feel like I am the biggest joke on this forum - I have been here so long!

              Hi Daisy

              Look at my join date - I beat you by quite a bit on being around for awhile. I'm on a successful quit, finally, and you will be too. The thing you show by coming back each time is your strength and your determination.

                  Hi Daisy, I just want to echo what the others have said. It's huge to come back - slipping is human, tackling it is brave. I'm always reassured when folks come back.

                      Hi Catbuddy and Kuya; thanks for the encouragement. I have let things slip and of course the ripple effect of that is that everything is affected; relationships, exercise, emotions, finances.......sure you all know the score...
                      I haven't exercised for weeks so my first plan of action is to get a long walk in today. I poured out any alcohol I could find in the house last night.
                      I have been busy this past while. I finished my backdrop and the show was on Friday. It turned out well. My daughter had her 18th last week. My dad had a CT scan and they found that 2 tumours have shrunk, however they also found more had developed. So he went for an MRI last week and we will get those results tomorrow morning.
                      I need to get some Christmas shopping done, and fast. I can't believe there is only 2 weeks to go.
                      But just for today the plan is to feel happy, get a walk and drink only what is good for me........

                        I'm always happy to see you!
                        This addiction is no laughing matter!!!! Anyone who presents themselves here is looking for & deserves some support.
                        Your plan sounds good, keep working on it to fill in all the gaps. Don't allow AL a way weasel back into your life.

                        You'll never be sorry for kicking AL out, once & for all :l

                          Hey Daisy, how did I miss this yesterday! I have been thinking of you....LG is so right, if you want to be sober worse than you want to drink, you can do it, no matter what time of year it is. Today is all you must worry about. So glad to see you, I pray that your dad's prognosis is good....hugs, Byrdie

                            Aw Lav, thank you for that. I really appreciate you. I seem to go from one extreme to the other. When I post here and sound positive and fired up that this time it is for good, I really mean it. Then when it falls apart, it makes the fall even harder. Feeling silly for putting it out there in the first place because I feel so stupid coming back.

                              Hey Byrdie, good to hear from you. Right now that is exactly what I want. And I want to feel this conviction every single day. It dwindles along the way...and bam!!! I suppose I don't trust myself, and then again by even sayiing that I realise that is negative thinking and I need to turn that around.
