LOL PPQ!

If you are NOT familiar with the movie A Christmas Story then the leg lamp does seem, well...rather STRANGE! (Even stranger yet, quite a bit of this marvelous nostalgic tale of midwestern life in the 40s was filmed in Canada. Guess those film people like their Timmy's, eh!)

If you have seen the movie then you know that this lamp is a MAJOR AWARD that came packed in a crate from Italy since it had Fra-gi-le printed on the top.

I actually made the lamp myself a few years ago as a gift for my hubby. I traded the left leg to someone who also made a leg lamp. You should've seen what I got!!!!

The whole damn fambly will watch the movie tonight....right after crab dinner...fra..ra..ra.ra....rahhhhhhh!!!

Am so very down right now. Got another letter from the RMV in the neighboring state, and this one says my priveilge to drive there is being revoked for two years. Ican't even se straight, and had to take an Ativan I remembered having just to stop the crying and shaking. Last two letters said I'd be suspended mid-Jan unless I met certain requirements, whcih looked feasible..Second said I'd be suspended in mid-March unless I took an eight hour course. I could deal with all of that, but not this. Called my sister who reiterated how stupid the system is, and she agreed to contact her frined who represented me in the first place. It is a nightmare and I can't believe it is happening. I cannot even understand the appeals or hearing process. I haen't driven in that state since May, 2011. And I am afriad of the consequences this will havve on my license here, which I as hoping to get back in the next couple of weeks. I have tried to remain positive, have completed all the court reqquirements, paid my $1000 fine--and now this? I can't even see how I could get through something like this. I pray that the attorney may know more about this and it may be some kind of mistake. I am just going to go to bed. We have friends coming tomorrow and they only know about my DUI from last Nov in this state. I ill not be able to remain cheery throughout the day.

TDN - so very sorry for all that you are facing, hopefully it will turn out to be a dreadful mistake and all will come out right in the end.
Decided to get busy, washed my bedding as a clean bed is one of my biggest treats, then the girls and I made lots of cookies, they had fun taking then to 7 of the neighbours who we really have not met yet as have just moved on here this summer. It is an older neighbourhood so they had a great time being spoilt by the older folks - it was good for them and for me - hopefully I will sleep well tonight and be able to sort myself out....
It is a blessing to have a place like this to be able to have a melt down and get reponses so quickly, thank you all so much.

TDN ...... It is common policy to send incorrect ban notices to recent DUI JUST before Christmas . It sounds cruel but they are trying to do a blanket safety sweep on ALL those who might think of drink driving and killing innocent people.
DON'T take this personally......most are amended after the holidays. It is, at least and attempt to reduce the deaths on the roads. You were lucky and stopped drinking, most who drink and drive do not stop unless the penalties are increased.

Forget about it for now Hun and try to enjoy. :l
