Everyone: I didn't put a date on this thread. I've been extremely busy w/holiday, 2 snowstorms, g-kids, & getting ready for a big road trip we'll be taking in Jan. I've been going to my usual meetings & intend to go while away as well. Nothing is more important to me than my sobriety. MWisdom, Courage, Strength

Phil: We'll be in the small town of Blanco between San Ant & Austin. I've already looked up the meetings...plus my son is in recovery & has gone to them.
Tomorrow we'll be having our annual New Year's Day sober celebration. It's always fun w/a few new attendees every year. It's amazing how much fun sober celebrations are. No sloppiness, repetition, over-staying your welcome, etc...all the things that go along w/drinking/partying.

Everyone: I hope all are going to enjoy a happy, sober new year. I get such a sense of renewal on new year's day. Of course, I have my resolutions...the usual w/losing weight topping the list. But, more than that, I want to continue to take sensible risks, venture outside my comfort zone, live an honest life, & grow spiritually as a result. Those are all the things AA has taught me. I went to a meeting last night. It was a joy to be w/members of the AA fellowship on new year's eve. Again: HAPPY NEW YEAR - 2013. Love, MaryWisdom, Courage, Strength

Happy New Year Mary
I have a new resolve about my AA group.
Been going through some issues with anger and resentment and all I hear is "you can choose to be happy". My sponsor and I are going to tackle step 4 and I'm hoping that will help.
How's the 90-n-90 going? It hasn't been 3 months already has it?
Hoping this thread will keep me on track...have a great AF Tuesday Mary and all to come...PPQP

Hi every1 wishing you all a Happy sober New year 2013. MWO
Mary have a lovely time with your family. x
Honesty... i had to get honest with my true self by using the serenity prayer by having the courage to change the things i can, it not been easy :upset: but i have not picked up....
Anyone who is reading this and is on my face book i have close my account for the time being, until things are a lot better for me, going through a bad time.. Am going to book to have counselling, this time i feel that am more then ready for my healing inside to beginning.
New year's eve for the first time i went to a AA meeting and celebrated, where i felt safe.
Someone that night shared if you look within, you don't go without.

I did my 90/90 about 2 weeks early by going to 2 meetings per day several times. I'll get my 3 month chip tonight. I'll be away from the thread for a while, though I might have access to a computer throughout my trip. Bottom line: I'll be going to meetings wherever I am. I've already gone to meetings in FL & will go in TX when I get there. I'll be back here before I leave. Hope all is well.
Step 4 is an excellent way to find out about our anger & resentment. It uncovers all that, as those are the main reasons alcoholics drink again.
