SOOTY!!! SOOTY!!!!! Goodness, I am happy to see you. This bus has been on the road but lacking in the unique color commentary you provided as stalwart driver and tour guide. Just hold on, get back on, whatever it takes, alone is harder. Listen to Rusty, I do. Love you SOOTY!!!!! Ladybird.

January Generosity - week 1
Hi Sooty, I'm right here I am having the same problem posting and I think it's the MWO website. I totally suck at posting pictures but I attached a picture of my fire with my candles lit, as a symbol of warmth and welcoming you back. When you walk up the stairs to my condo...it is the first thing you see.:l
Sooty, I have to finish this report but I will be poking my head back in and out of here for about the next hour or so. I will probably PM you later on tonight. We all care about you here....and ALL of us spoke about how you were missed. We also have some lovely new people, including some men. Now Mr. G won't feel like he's the only guy around.

January Generosity - week 1
Good morning to all...
So great to have so many people on our thread with lots of input. I was thinking about what is helpful when restarting your AF journey as that is where some of us are today. I think for me, focusing on physically feeling well, sleeping normally, and having the anxiety and guilt leave. I remember ordering the vitamins on this site and supplements and actually feeling fantastic when I started them. I had been feeling so sick for so long that it was a revelation with the All One and other recommendations. I just want to encourage Sooty and all who are restarting. It is so worth it.
Hey Rusty, love your enthusiasm shooting off the page. Happy you will have more time to post as you add so much.
Has anyone besides me felt really tired? It must be the cold, it is killer. Have a productive and fun Saturday.Formerly known as redhibiscus

LBH, I google images of “The Long Goodbye” after reading your description but I could not find it. It sounds striking.
Welcome stella, jada and merry! Wonderful to have you along.
Star, I have been tired as well. I again attribute it to the short days, lack of sunlight.
TDN, Lav, Kas, Rusty, Sooty, Rustop, G, HippyM, Pmom, Cyn, nurdl, catbuddy, et. al., AF weekend greetings.
My daughter, SIL and grandson from New Orleans arrive today to celebrate a late Christmas. This is the first they could get away. DD just opened a new shop (a Wine Bar of all things!! LOL) at Thanksgiving time so she has been very busy with holiday shoppers. I am so happy for her that she managed to get through all the bureaucracy and red tape and logistics and got her shop up and running. It’s had several positive reviews in local publications. I’m so proud of her!! Should be a whirlwind visit. They are here thru Tuesday.LBH, I google images of “The Long Goodbye” after reading your description but I could not find it. It sounds striking.

Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!
If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

January Generosity - week 1
Good morning!
Rusty, love the pic!!! Looks so cozy and warm. We have a fireplace, but Mr TDN installed a wood burning stove in it a number of years back--mostly for efficieny, but it still nice and attractive, too. I often sit by that fire when online or reading.
Welcome, Merry! Great that you'e dome some AF days! This really is the best place--the support is pretty amazing
I didn't realize that Sooty is a man:H Glad you came back, too!
Star, I too have been very tired, and now know why: I was coming down with the upper respiratory thing everyone seems to have now. Came on pretty fast, and my throat was so sore last night that I had trouble sleeping. And my nose is all stuffed up and body aches, etc. I have been taking extra Vitamin C, Advil and spraying my throat with Chloraseptic after gargling with warm salt water. I have to work today from 9-1:00 or so, and will be alone in the shop, except for the sister-in-law, who will just come to grab things for delivery. Am expecting lots of calls for an upcoing funeral. I can easily do cut, wrapped flowers and even less expensive arrangements, but that is it!! Nobody wanting my "specialty," boxwood trees:H Wish we could make those year round.
Looks like my troubles with the DMV in the neighboring state are coming to an end. I am supposedly clear now, but will have to do an eight hour class on Safe Driving by mid-March. I swear they just want money! Also had to pay for extra insurance, although i know the insurance agent isn't correct in telling me I'll have a "slight" increase from what I paid yesterday once I have my license back. Cannot wait to have this behind me. As I have said before, it has been a very expensive lesson for me, but I am AF, and that is what counts!
I will be back this afternoon or evening. Hope to spend time reading one of the three books that arrived yesterday from ebay: Lucky Man (Michael J Fox,) High on Arrival (McKenzie Phillips,) and Smashed. Still wiaitng for Drunkard. I seem to gain something from every book I read about addiction/recovery. And ebay is great for prices!! I think I got the three books--free shippimg--for about $12.00! Two look brand new and are hard covers, and the paperback is used but has no damage.
Have a great AF day!!

Good morning friends
Sunny & chilly but it's good!
TDN, Ms Sooty is female, not a man :H
Just want to make that clear! (you're welcome sooty )
You should think about writing your own book TDN on the cost of a DUI!
The monetary cost, the emotional cost - the whole thing!
Greetings Star, Dill & everyone!
Hippy, love the new avatar
Dill, I hope your visit with your daughter & family is wonderful! So nice to hear that her business is doing so well, good for her!
I have tons of odds & ends to do today so I'll stay out of trouble.
I have been tired for a while myself, not sleeping great the past week either - who knows??
Wishing everyone a fantastic AF Saturday!

Thanks Lav, I am indeed female altho I suppose the original sooty was a boy!
I hope we're all ok, i'm feeling more positive and glad I'm back with you all. Had my hair done this morning and am off to walk the dog shortly. Not on the cliffs tho, far too slippy and muddy for that!
Enjoy Saturday everyone
