    January Generosity - week 2

TDN, now that you are officially a senior member.....

Go to the Food Matters website. TONS of motivation there ~ really
The film was great & I have them on my Facebook feed so I see their stuff everyday.

If you use Netflix, watch the food documentaries there - amazing!!!

Didn't know I would be watching my grandsons today but I did & now I am officially exhausted.
    wishing everyone a good night!

      Well good morning everyone!!!!

The super fog has descended on us but it will be warming up to near 60 today. My car will finally get the wash it needs, yay!

And that's my news for the day, so far :H:H
Wishing everyone a great AF Sunday.

Good morning, Lav and all to come today.

Lav, I saw excerpts of the film, and it sure is great. I'll check to see if I have them on FB. I know how important it is to eat whole, fresh foods. Just need to do it:H And need to stop eating chocolate! I plan to buy veggies to make a big salad today.

Have nursery duty again today at church! I am going to use my hand sanitizer for sure, as I don't need to get sick again. May take an Airborne Fizzy before I go. I don't have this duty again for a few months--I hope! Then maybe lunch out, if OCD Mr TDN can make up his mind. Have to work something in between the football games--or is it basketball??

Have been feeling some anxiety about driivng again. It has been over a year. And the Interlock thing is weighing on my mind. Just need to take it one day at a time.

I went and looked at some older posts from Star, LBH, Cyn, Dill. (I already "know" Lav, Pap and Rysty) So impressed and inspired by the long AF time you all have. Feel grateful to be part of this group!

          TDN,
No need to give up chocolate entirely
I skip milk chocolate because it doesn't agree with me (dairy). But a good dark chocolate IMHO is an essential food group :H
There is actually a Swiss Chocolatier near me, it's a real treat to stop in Welcome | Neuchatel Chocolates

Hope you have motivated Mr TDN.......I'm almost glad I don't have to waste my energy trying to motivate a dead man anymore, if you know what I mean.

Loved Les Miserables...if you like musicals, you would enjoy this movie.

It is raining here, miserable, and in the 30s, yuck.

Lav, I got a flu shot on Friday, and now have a sore throat. My husband blames it on the flu shot. Your thoughts? I am resting hoping to kick this. Enjoy the warmth while you can. It won't last long.

Just hanging out today, cooking some new recipes up, and being cozy. I wanted to clean something out but decided I can wait till another weekend, due to not feeling well. Put a minestrone soup in the crock pot, and making Lebanese Zuchinni for dinner. Quiet on the thread today, and that is OK too.

Hello to all and have a great day.

Star, a lot of people (including myself) had some symptoms after the flu shot. I still think it's worth it though because a full-fledged case of the flu at this age could kill you
Just take it easy today, some Tylenol & lots of fluids

Well, I wanted to wash the car today but I would look like a complete idiot out there....the fog still hasn't lifted & it's quite damp. Oh well, the road salt will just have to stay on the car.

I just put together a dairy free scalloped potato casserole - yum. The carnivore grandkids & their parents will be here for turkey tenderloins. I'm also about to put together a cranberry almond spinach salad

Damn!! Another post lost in cyberspace!! I need to do the copy and paste, I guess!

                So I'll start again. . .

Star, I was so envious yesterday when you mentioned that you had the windows open. I don't know where you live, but saw that it was 65 in Cleveland. And no it's thirty degrees??? Here it is about 38-40, but still all foggy and damp. But I did make myself get out for a walk around 1:00, and did about 3 1/2 miles. Should have worn my ear muffs, as my ears were cold. Had my hand warmers, so that was good. My hair was straight when I started out--well, as straight as i can be after using product to make it that way--and curly when I came back

Made it though the nursery at church with just one baby--maybe six months old?- and a one yr old who arrived about fifteen minutes late, just like last time. The baby's mom as nervous, as apparently the child screamed so loud and so long last week that they had to go upstairs and get the mom from the church!! (This as verified by my "helper," a sweet girl who is about ten yrs old and who floated in and out.) The mom mentioned something about nursing the child, but didn't do it right then. And the baby was in a car seat kind of thing and I just kept smiling at her and replacing the pacifier if it fell out of her mouth, and she neer made a peep the whole time! I kept praying for no poops, and also remembered that Lav said that the diapers are good for at least an hour:H The one yr old is easy--came in with a biscuit and mom said she could have a juice box and the "helper" said she likes Gold fish, so I was all set with that! I was relieved that the juice was a fruit punch and not apple juice, as I seem to recall that apple juice can bring on the poops??? Boy, if these moms knew that I hae no experience, they'd probably snatch the kids right out of that room!

Lav, Mr TDN is watching the Ohio State-Michigan football game, and is not causing any problems right now:H Ooop, he just corrected me--it is the Atlanta game. Ohio State won the preious game, and Mr TDN is from Ohio, so he's happy.

I'll check out the chocolate link, Lav, as I eat my peanut butter M$Ms!!!

                Back later.

Greetings Grooving generators of generosity and abundance,

On a personal note, I am having a maaagnificent year to date. I behold the abundance that surrounds me, as 'Chops' Chopra would say. Anything is possible isn't it?

Whatever will be will be, and when we follow our true path, the real us, everything is okay. Drinking, or taking any kind of mind altering substance doesn't bring us closer to our own truth, our true path, but takes us further away. For me, i really start to open windows and doors to the universe when i am clear headed and living sober. Not 'moderating' or having a glass or 2 twice a week, no. Living sober 24/7. This is where the magic is.

Wishing y'all a safe, sober and magical week.

'I am part of all that I have met, yet all experience is an arch wherethro', gleams that untravelled world whose margins fade, forever and forever when I move'

                  Zen soul Warrior. Freedom today-

Hello all, hope we're all ok. It's interesting how the weather is so important to us all, cold and crisp here today and I managed a long walk. Very invigorating!

It's nearly 10 pm and i'm rather tired so I'll be off to bed soon.

Lav what's the name of the vegan site you get your recipes from? I'm trying hard to eat less dairy. Thank you

Have a good Sunday everyone :l

Hello all and well done TDN on the poop-free child minding. I used to be able to calm my grandkids down no prob, but my own, not so much. Whats with that? And yeah, just bypass the

Its both an human health and env health thing and children have been killed in the past. And they need advice now, so I am doing what I can. But yes, usually I set limits and dont let people push me around too much.

Hi to Star and Lav, LBH and all others. I bought some beautiful boiled red wool fabric soft as fleece but strong feeling, for a coat, which I have laid out and cut the pieces for, and a red satin lining. Everyone should have a red coat I think. And I was out for walk by the river today with Mr. Kaslo. He was teaching me earlier about long exposures of water to get that nifty blur. 7 below but very pleasant.

Also, I have been working on my garden photos from last summer. Here is a peony for y'all.

So sorry everyone for being MIA this week! It has been chock full and I have been falling into bed exhausted. Most likely still some virus germs sticking around-today was the first day I felt like myself since before christmas!!
It was a super busy week as I said. 2 dog classes, quilting and of course work! I am getting super nervous about finishing what needs to be done before Friday. They keep accepting more and more students and I just can't keep up during a normal workday. However, I am committed to staying balanced in my last week and will not put in extra hours. I was told they would not be accepting any new students as of the 9th and that has turned out to be a lie. I hate to leave feeling bitter but I told my boss long ago this new process could not be done by one person. Plus I have other projects that have to be done before I leave never mind cleaning out my office, and 2 computers!! OK rant over!!
Part of my busy week included a major shopping trip with my sis on wed nite for new work clothes. we cleaned up at Dress Barn-over 10 outfits for less than $300 after all the discounts. I was so thrilled with the choices available in the Women's section-I wanted to try on everything in the store!! I am very happy with the new wardrobe-very professional looking but comfy. This coming Wed morning I get my hair cut and colored for the first time since this summer. This could be an episode of "What Not to Wear" :H !! I will be paying for everything with my vacation time money-my vacation time doesn't transfer to the new job but thankfully my sick and personal time does. and of course my retirement. I also now have a new purse (spiffy dark purple to match my VB Tote) and wallet. I just need a few more filler pieces and I'm good to go! Getting very excited!!
I did read back every post I missed and I must say we are all a super busy bunch!!
Cyn-the dogs went with you right? Have a great 3 months back in the desert!!
Rusty-great job on the new clients!
TDN-whoo hoo! License tomorrow!! Keep looking for the perfect job and don't settle!!
Kas-gorgeous pic of the Peony. My fav flower! Pics of the greenhouse coming?
Star-your new eating plan seems to be very low on Protein? No? Glad it is working for you tho!
LBH-can't we get rid of 2003 and prior tax info now? Love your cougar description!!
Lav-busy mimaw as always!! glad little EB is feeling better!
Dill-thanks for all your links! You are a fountain of knowledge!!
Chill-LIKED your new FB page!! Hope all is going well!
Cat-congrats on 100+ days! Keep on rocking!!
IMT-congrats to you on 6 months! Phenomenal!! It keeps getting better and better doesn't it?
Sooty-so glad you are back with us and posting regularly!
Rustop-you make me dizzy with all you do! Don't forget to take time for yourself!!
Juicers-I'm seriously thinking of getting one. I know which one I want-I just have to figure out how to pay for it without using the CC. The first video I downloaded with my 1 month free Amazon Prime account was Amazon.com: Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead: Joe Cross, Kurt Engfehr, Stacey Offman: Amazon Instant Video. Pretty cool. I don't think I could do a whole month of just juicing but would like to try a couple of meals.
Did I miss anyone? I hope not!!
time to feed the kids and get to bed! another insane week on tap!!
