    January Generosity Week 3

    Hi everyone

Sorry for being absent but I have been the victim of some serious malicious cyber abuse from my exhusband's girlfriend and had all my accounts hacked. From what the abuse is saying I suspect they have been on MWO too as referring to me being happy about no longer drinking. I therefore no longer feel safe posting about my personal life and not sure what to do.....

Just wanted you all to know I'm fine and thinking of you.

        That's horrible Chilli, and illegal.

You should be able to report her if you're comfortable doing that.

Don't worry, it will all work out. Are you okay?

          Some people just really suck

          After some thought......
I would consider contacting that bitch & let her know that you've consulted an attorney.
          But that's just me :H

Pap, I think you are very cool and I admire what you are doing. It's not just mumbo jumbo that how we leave our work has a lot more to do with who we are than if we are rewarded or appreciated. It doesn't matter if your boss was an a-hole or a bozo. What matters is you are not. I also loved your shopping spree and was inspired for a mini version of my own. While you won't be able to tie up everything you can envision, you can start your new job with a clear heart (and looking good as well). Your new boss found a pearl. Chill I am so sorry your accounts were breached and imagine that how you learned about the perpetrator is quite a story?I can't understand the motivation at this point unless you have not gotten around to actual legal divorce as she may be simply jealous or more disturbingly sharking for assets. And Dill, my thoughts are with you and your son, I hope he soon can rebuild his health in so many ways. In any case, we shall all listen to nurse Lav, and put things in a perspective that keeps stress managed. I am having a little bit of a bad day myself as earlier this morning while somewhat upset and distracted by words with Lord Bird Heart, I tripped and twisted my ankle. I think the shock of a sudden fall is the worst part. It's not a bad sprain but already turning that lovely black and blue while ceremoniously stuck in a trash basket full of ice. I am going to go elevate it but this is hard as I want to be running around. Sometimes we have to just accept the "is-ness" of things. I am lucky that I am springy and not brittle. Hi Rusty, Catbuddy, Star, Sooty, Cyn, Rustop, and G. I shall be thinking of you tomorrow, TDN. I have lost my ability to drive a couple of times for several months due to complications from eye surgeries and it is always a mix of excitement and anxiety to go back to it. At the time I can't wait to see where I "go" but I also am daunted by what I have been through. I look forward to hearing about where you "go" on your maiden voyage. Love, Ladybird.
            may we be well

              Oh boy LBH!
Send that man out to the drug store for an ace wrap if you don't have one. Sorry about your ankle - such a necessary body part

TDN, I can't wait to hear about your maiden voyage as well. Drive safely

I've collected a few new vegan recipes today. The Rigatoni with zucchini & eggplant is calling out to me :H

evening all! Thankyou for all the kind words. I believe I have reached a compromise with myself that will let me leave feeling good about everything but won't stress me too much.

Chill-if all your accounts have been hacked I would definitely threaten some sort of legal action if you can. Unfortuately you may have to start over and create everything from scratch again. I believe you can email me from my profile if you want. Maybe I can help find a solution?

Dill-so happy to hear your son is doing a bit better. Continued prayers for him.

LBH-RICE-Rest Ice Compression and Elevation. So sorry about your ankle- that really stinks!! Take good care of yourself and give thanks you are not brittle. When you're ready I can give you some easy exercises to do to get the range of motion and strength back.

TDN-can't wait to hear all about your driving debut tomorrow! I had a drinking dream (again) too about a week ago and it really disturbed me because this time instead of "accidently" almost taking a drink, I was seriously contemplating that it was time to give up being AF. Yikes!!

Hippy-what breed of doggie do you have? Mine are papillons but they won't fit in a purse :H!!

                  Cat-keep on rocking!!

Star and Lav-good eats at your houses. I'll be right over!!

Rusty-I finally got my hair cut and colored yesterday morning after a 6 month haitus. I feel like a new woman!! Now if only losing 60 lbs was as easy as shopping and a hair appointment!!:H

                  Hi Techie and G!!

Oh, and I corrected my boss today. I DID give 4 weeks notice! I was so tired last nite when our conversation happened that I couldn't even think straight! He was only counting when I gave the actual written resignation, not when I verbally told him before christmas break.

OK, I'm fast falling asleep. nitey nite!!

                    Hi everyone,

Pap, how very exciting to be going to a new job. I think that may be my path in the coming year, too.

LBH, do you have any arnica? It really helps with the swelling and bruising, both the topical form and the pills. I'm sorry you are hurt; you should see the daily thread; it's like a sick ward there.

Lav, I saw a new doctor today who said my fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, failed thyroid AND neuropathy in my hands (Jesus, it's amazing I'm walking around) signal an underlying inflammatory condition. She basically advised I eat vegan. So I'm going to be experimenting in that direction, and would love recipes. Where is that blog? Without a doubt, stress plays a role in my health too, and less stress is a key to reducing inflammation. Hence the new job thoughts. With having just burned out my finance director, I see the pace of our work for what it is: a killer.

Chill, what a bitch, to use an impolite term. We'll be here when you feel safe.

                    And to all......a good night.

                    Cat

                      Good morning to all...

Chill, thanks for posting, hacking I do not understand, nor cruelty for cruelties sake. There has to be something you can do, as hacking is illegal. Jail time illegal. Totally understand your not posting but really miss your input.

Lav, I am going to look up that recipe on Fatfree Vegan right away as I want to focus on eating healthy on my days off. Continuing to lose the pounds, but slowly. Eating this way feels so good, I have more energy than ever, and in the middle of winter.

Dill, I have noticed time passing quickly too. Is this age, being mindful, or AF? Another week gone by and you closer to retirement. Thanks for sharing about your son, mine drinks too from time to time and I worry that he could go over the edge easily. Stress just makes it worse and your son has been under the gun. Time to rest and get better for him.

Rusty, your business is steady and new things keep coming along. Good for you. How is it having a little more time at home, to yourself? I love working four days. It gives me time to have fun, take care of myself, and get things done. Wishing the same for you.

LBH, falling stinks, and it is scary. Keep that ankle up and iced. It is supposed to get really cold next week, so staying in might not be so bad. Wintertime is a good time to do things indoors, unless you like winter sports. I do not, as cold is painful to me.

Pap, good to hear from you, endings and beginnings. How exciting. You did your best, that is all you can do. Your old boss sounds as if he is not pleasable. Is that a word? After a time you will look back, and be amazed at how unreasonable the work load was. I did that after changing jobs.

Cat, my old job, at a big organization, slowing developed into taking responsiblity for two positions, and over time I began to have physical related symptoms. I truly believe if I kept on I would have manifested a chronic illness. Now, I work in a smaller organization, it is a risk, but I do not feel sick or stressed, most of the time. Work is always hard and sometimes stress is part of it. But, a work culture that wants more and more of you is not for me. Life is short and we can only have so many toys, stuff, etc. I have downsized and make due with less, my decision. You will have to decide what will work for you. With a younger son, your options are different. Being AF opens up all kinds of choices though, good for you.

Drinking a great cup of coffee, talking to friends. What a lovely way to start my day. Thanks all for your faithfulness and friendship.

Good morning from the east coast where I actually see some sunshine today
After a week of rain this is truly a blessing!

Greeting G, hope you are well

Papmom, glad you have resolved the angst re the old job & can leave the worries behind! You don't want to take that negativity with you to your new job. New place, new beginnings, right?

Cat, making a few changes in your diet really makes a huge difference!
My daughter was diagnosed with a gluten & wheat allergy a few months ago. As soon as she eliminated that from her diet her painful symptoms disappeared. I am doing some experimenting with gluten free too.

I ended up going (mostly) vegan because I developed a total intolerance to dairy products & beef! Cannot digest any of it & I was tired of feeling sick
Fat Free Vegan is a great resource (I add a little healthy olive oil to some recipes, sometimes makes a big difference in flavor too). Fatfree Vegan Recipes

I also recommend a few good books -
1,000 vegan Recipes by Robin Robertson, The Joy of Vegan Baking by Colleen Patrick-Goudreau, Vegan Sandwiches Save the Day! by Celine Stein; Tamasin Noyes
AND my latest: Artisan Vegan Cheese by Miyoko Schinner

Yes kids, Lav is making Cheese :yay:
Nut cheese is awesome using raw cashews or almonds. It's easy, just takes a few days to work thru the steps but everyone who has tried it here loves it so far. I just made my 3rd batch yesterday - spreadable sharp cheddar!

Star, I plan to stop at the supermarket in my way home from Curves this moring to see if I can find the zucchini & eggplant (if not I will find substitutes). I just know I feel so much better when I eat less & less meat of any kind.

Must run! Wishing everyone a great AF Friday!

Good Morning! Thank you for your well wishes and suggestions. I am happy to report that after a rest my little injury appears completely confined to the side of my upper foot, my ankle itself is peachy, not swollen or sore. My bones clanging against the bricks and the ice were all mainly drama. My foot hurts and is quite bruised, but I think all of the swimming and water exercises I do, flutter and frog kicks and leaping around in a pool five times a week, has given me ankles of a strapping young bloke like G. I should be able to resume most of them with modifications on Monday (I don't think hopping on one foot back and forth across the pool will be in the cards but it is more fun than it sounds under normal circumstances). Thanks for reminding me about the arnica, Miss Kitty. I have some capsules from the last time I hurt myself (I am a small clumsy airhead, I thought being sober would help but it just gives me more room in there to think) and I am sure I can find the cream at my nearby food co-op. Have a good healthy day everybody, I love what you said about your time Dr. Kas. Ladybirdbrain. I

                            January Generosity Week 3

                            Good evening, everyone.

Glad you are healing nicely, LBH. I have arnica cream and tiny little pills that I always forget to carry with me, but it is good stuff!!

Chill, I am so sorry for what you are going through. Only a very sick person would do something like that. I hope you do consult an attorney or go to the police. I wouldn't even have a clue aout how to hack intot somebody's accounts. I remember when I was teaching, I had a student who was very odd and fell asleep in class a lot. Father was a single dad and worked nights. After I'd left that job, there was a big commotion about how this kid managed to hack into some major accounts and cause a lot of damage. That is what he was ding at night, unfortunately. He did end up in jail, although I'm not sure for how long.

Well, I know have the Interlock on my car, and it is already making me a little crazy! There was a young man at the place where went to have it installed, and he is almost at the end of his year with this thing. The guy who does the installation was telling me how
"sensitive" the system is, and asked the young man to speak. Yikes! You cannot eat or drink anything for at least ten minutes before you activate the machine. The guy had the system report a failure once because he had eaten a muffin in his car and had the warning to do the "rolling retest" and then he failed the test!! Luckily he as close to work, arrived there and did another try and it was fine. But he had to call the company and report it. Even windshield wiper fluid can apparently set it off! For me, I was successful on the first attempt, but the thing ent off within five minutes of driving, and then again after about ten minutes. When i drove this afternoon, it agian went off within to to three minutes. I went to a store, so had to do it again hen I left, and on the inhale, I was "too soft" and had to try again. Then it went off after about five minutes, and it took me to attempts to get it. I did do this while driving, but am not sure how it will ork if/when I am on a major highway. It does go off at least once an hour. So it will be a major adjustment, but I at least have the ability to go where I need.want to go.

I am so tired that I will sign off for now!

                            Good night to everyone!

TDN, congrats on getting your wheels back.
I have no understanding how that device operates ~ sounds like a bit of a hassle but like anything, it should become easier as time goes by - I hope.

                                Good Morning AF Friends!

Wow, when I am home, the week REALLY flies by! I will enjoy the next 3 days in my comfy haven before I see a new client in Milwaukee. Today is my sister's 57th birthday and I am making her a banana cream pie.....her favorite. I hope I don't screw it up like I did the last time....good thing I learned from my mistakes. I got such wonderful news yesterday.....ANOTHER consulting assignment fell in my lap...and I wasn't even looking for it!

Chill-we all miss you here. Thank you so much for your lovely PM this morning. It was a relief to wake up to it.:l If that psycho bitch dares post on this thread there are several people here who will make sure she scats in a hurry. Look how many people love you....your untenable situation brought our favorite jock Techie to our thread for a brief but welcome visit. Thanks, Techie!

Mr.G-:h Have you composed any new songs lately? If not, please post the U-tube link where we can see and hear you. You posted a LONG time ago, but obviously, I never tire of seeing you. (EYES BATTING)

TDN-I also have no idea how an interlock device works but I'm sure you'll get the hang of it. It must be such a relief to drive.

LBH-I am so glad your ankle is better....I would hate to see our thread cougar wincing around, one-legged, in excruciating pain, and wearing an evening gown. I never thought ace bandages were a fashion accessory.

Pap-great job and clearing the air on your notice. Just think, your new adventure starts on Monday already! We will be here to see you off on your first day of school. I wish I had a Scooby-Do lunchbox to give you ;-)

Ok, big hellos and hugs to everyone else....I'm off to the gym. Have a fabulous AF Saturday!!
