PERSON 1: "Man, I was totaly KY'd last night"

PERSON 2: "Me too - well lube'd i was"

Snow falling o'ver in Auld Scotia... and rain's expected in a few moments... the joys of dirty slush.

Ash wednesday... my dad was out trying to buy ash yesterday... he couldn;t find any... or he couldn;t find the right kind... so ... um... what is the right kind of ash?!?!... according to papa there's white ash and black ask...

So... that'll be salt and pepper then?

Good MAE everyone! It's fun to see the banter around here in the mornings, afternoons and evenings.

Things are quiet here today. I have to get motivated to do some stuff around this house. Inside, I am jonesing to get up to Philly and finish the work on the house up there. But I will prevail.

As RC says, it snowing in Scotland.
We live up a hill and often get snowed in a few times a year. I think it's human instinct to want to stock up on stuff when you know bad weather's coming wouldn't you say? With us being 4 miles away from the nearest shop, this is especially true. In the past, when I know snow is on the way I've felt panicky if I haven't got enough wine for a bottle a night until the weather clears. I'm so grateful that I don't feel that now.
