    Happy Skivving CB...only way to handle those tedious meetings.

    My meeting went great. Very productive and came away very positive. Texted the kid to see if he wanted me to bring food home, he replied he wasn't home.

    Overcast and just starting to snow...wicked cold wind blowing...and nobody home.

    Zing...my mind went to a celebratory drink. Then I thought damn I gotta figure out what my rewards are going to be. I'm feeling so positive and pumped got to get my plan together.

    Needless to say went into the grocery store (where they do not sell AL here) got dinner fixings and a treat. Avacados :H

      that's not just some random internet BS. Although the page is brief, the findings are verified with real hard core science which you can find at PubMed Online Training
      if anyone has questions I'm always up for a PM on the subject. if my job holds out I'm considering getting my credentials as a 'real' nutritionalist. it's been a serious hobby of mine after figuring out how to fix my high triglycerides and high C-Reactive protein a couple years ago and cured myself of pre diabetes and now maintain my weight even when I slack off on exercise.

          Det - thanks for link; it's disheartening to hear doctors and nutritionists still spout some of these long-disproven food myths. You'll have a huge international clientelle once you start practising (all with underlying alcohol problems :H )

            Determinator, you will make a superior nutritionist! Thanks for the article.

            My dad died from heart disease in 1993. For years he had eaten egg beaters, very little red meat, very little fat, etc. If only we had known then what we know now.

              Lav....you mentioned Ash Wednesday....I just read a poll that the things to be given up:

              1) Chocolate
              2) Alcohol
              3) Facebook

              I think that AL is more of a problem than people realize. For people to give up AL as number 2.....

              Det....I hope that your job keeps going. But, there is something to be said that if one door closes....another opens. You are so educated on the topic of nutrition.

              Short check in....lots going on in my life and happy about it.

                      now I'm sure there are some veggies that read that link and are thinking...uh oh what do I do?
                      not to worry! you can be a healthy veggie but there are some things you need to do. my non-professional recommendations:

                      -eat at least two tablespoons of a good quality extra virgin coconut oil daily
                      -take algae based omega 3 supplement
                      -take phosphatidylcholine supplement
                      -take L-Carnitine supplement
                      -take a high quality B12 supplement and have your B12 levels checked

                      and you'll be ok!

                      Sunflower, now why would anyone give up chocolate!? in moderation I think it's a great treat.
                      especially the organic 70%+ cacao types.

                      everyone staying lubed up I hope LOL

                        Det.....I liked your info.....now simple ways to get them.

                        This was an early poll I posted. I think AL would have made it to number 1 by the end of the day.....but, many find it so hard to give up. And many give up an AL of choice....to substitue with another.

                        I had a co-worker who gave up beer for lent.....only to say...."this has to end.....I am tired of drinking wine and hard liquor" to get to sleep every night.
