    March Maintenance ~ Week 3

So Lav, how did your day go? Is Will getting better? I surely hope so.

Hey Cyn I hope you realize that you actually may be lucky to be in the dessert. Winter just doesn't seem to be able to let go it's grip. I feel like I am in the land of Narnia living in perpetual winter.

Have a peaceful AF Thursday everyone.

      March Maintenance ~ Week 3

      Good evening all,

My son just left here with EB in tow. He says everything is going well with Will today except for the fact he is still refusing liquids - weird. He's eating well but won't drink anything. My DIL asked for a swalling eval as Will had this problem in the past. He chokes & gags on thin liquids. You know what I'm talking about Dill! We'll see what happens. I hope he can get out of there soon.
My daughter & grandaughter came & spent the day with us so that was a nice distraction

      Hi to cyn & everyone!

        March Maintenance ~ Week 3

Lav-very happy to hear Will has turned the corner! Hope there is nothing serious with his throat and whatever is going on is treatable. The strength of moms is amazing isn't it?

Dill-I'm with you-winter will NOT let go! More snow predicted for this weekend but I hear it's a southern storm bound for SE Mass and the Cape/Islands. Hate to say this but I hope so!! My city has the dubious honor of being the snowiest city in the US this winter! Yay us!! :yuk:

Cyn-thanks for the well wishes. Every once in a while I feel/see a white energy walk by me. The ghost of my beloved TC I'm sure. She hasn't been here in a while-must be giving me space to concentrate on Freddy.

Speaking of-the meds seem to be doing their job. He's eaten 6 meals in a row now and he's tolerating the sub-qs a bit better despite not being excited for a taste of yummy food during the process like he had been. I've been warming the fluids up before I stick him and it seems to be helping. I'm sure the meds a doing a job to his heart murmur as he has a high respiratory and heart rate for about an hour after but it's either this or watch him die slowy of starvation. If his heart can handle it then I think it's the right way to go for now.

I am feeling quite restless lately-not really wanting to dive into any projects when I do have free time (ummm like my taxes!) but feeling bored at the same time. I'm sure it's stress from my kitty's condition and cabin fever. I'm also not super busy at work and feel guilty about it. I know that will change in no time but still...

Tomorrow is my 2 month anniversary at the new job and I will be asking my boss for my evaluation to be done sometime next week. I could really use that extra $200 a month and I believe I've earned it. Actually today, the Assoc. VP of Enrollment Management told me privately that he really liked working with me-that I had a great attitude and personality and he was impressed with how I have fit in so quickly when I don't know the history of everything. I couldn't help tearing up (unprofessional I know!) but we just laughed and said "There is no crying at Community College!".
That was probably THE greatest honor I have ever had. He has NO idea the environment I have tolerated the past 9 years so I'm sure my reaction was very unexpected. I'll be crushed if I don't get that raise!

Well, it's late. Time to hit the hay. Shoutout to everyone missing these past couple of days.

          March Maintenance ~ Week 3

          Good morning all...

Lav, good that your grandson Will is on the mend. Lots of people in my neck of the woods have been ill with all kinds of colds, viruses and infections, too. How are you feeling with all this illness and caretaking? Have you had a chance to heal? Hope so.

Pap, what a lovely compliment. You deserve to be appreciated and I hope you get that raise. I have no idea about the computer programs you described, I was just going to write something out to start.

Cyn, the desert sounds good to me right now. We have also had snow all week, I drove home in white outs the other night and feel really ready for spring and green and warmth.

Dill, Narnia? What a visual. I do not feel like I am living in a fantasy land. When is your spring break?

LBH, hope you are doing well and having more adventures.

LTLW, what a drastic change in envirments. You can complain about the cold weather, you are entitled!! Congrats on the upcoming wedding.

I have been busy this week, and rushing around constantly. This weekend is busy too, so don't know how much I will be on. Take care and have a great day.

            March Maintenance ~ Week 3

            Good morning friends,

            Greetings Papmom, Star & everyone!
I think I am finally getting rid of this viral mess myself. It's been a tough one, for sure.

I plan to head over to the hospital for a visit later this morning. YB has returned from his trip & wants to go along. I know he is going to be shocked to see what's been going on.

I heard about that sneaky snowstorm papmom!
That's wonderful that your new employers appreciate you, your raise is well deserved

Hope you have a good weekend Star!

Greeetings to everyone & wishes for a wonderful AF Friday!

              Thanks for the wedding wishes!
I am still having trouble with this website for some reason?
Anyhow, I think I have a case of cabin fever- it is so cold just now I have to force myself to go out. I said to our doggies tonight "are u SURE u have to wee RIGHT now? Because if you don't deliver we aren't going again until morning!" Love them but.... Am lying in bed with cold nose & toes. Okay, done complaining.

Had EB here overnight, fun, fun.
Waiting to hear from his parents about Will's progress. I really hope he will be discharged this weekend.

                  March Maintenance ~ Week 3

                  Hi Marchers,
Lav I am happy to hear that Will soon will be discharged. What a huge scare you have all been through!

LTLW, good to see you. What kind of trouble are you having with the website? I had trouble logging on one day last week, but generally it is smooth sailing. I hear you on the doggies. I just remarked to my HB the other day that maybe we should not have gotten another dog...We love her to death of course, but she is going to make retirement road trips more difficult, to be sure.

Star, my break starts this Friday. We will be driving to New Orleans to visit my daughter and her family. I hope we don't drag this cold weather down there and curse them with it! :H It's supposed to SNOW tomorrow! Mr. D is scratching his head trying to figure out how he will plant the blueberry bushes due to be delivered this week if we have 6 inches of snow on the ground.

Pmom, I am so happy that you have found a work place in which you are so valued and respected. You are so lucky you got away from that lousy work environment you were in previously.:l Proud of you for surviving! Glad your kitty seems to be doing better, too.

The cabin fever seems to be striking here, too. It's hard to stay positive when Spring is here and not here all at the same time. But "this too shall pass".

                    Good evening,

Good news ~ Will is now home with his family!
He is still very weak though & will need lots of TLC, even a bit of rehab. I suggested my DIL ask for a neuro consult & she did so Will will be seeing someone. I am concerned about some possible damage done by that nasty virus. Just glad to have him back in his own home.

Dill, I hope the weather does not follow you, that would be freaky. The snow is suppposed to arrive here on Monday - boo hiss.

Greetings to everyone & wishes for a comfy night.

                        March Maintenance ~ Week 3

                        Good morning...

Lav, so good that Will is better and on his way home. Poor little guy. Have you been doing any interesting reading lately? I really appreciated some of your suggestions last year and even went on a training/retreat due to your suggestions on reading about mindfulness, etc.

Dill, we are getting snow too. For.the.next.three.days. Yuck. I just wish spring would come!!!!The NO trip sounds fun. Enjoy.

Still trying to eat healthy, but had a few bad meals out. I just have to sometimes. I have been really busy, running around and starting this new yoga class...it was amazing. Went to a party last night and danced, it was so fun. But home by 9:00, and that is the way I like it. Always leave a party when you are having the best time, and we did!! Feel good, well rested, and raring to go. Lots of shopping to do, again, for the week. I just wish the snow would go away and warm weather would be the norm.

To all, have a happy, healthy Sunday!!

Yea Will! Hope he continues to improve with lots of TLC. Kids are pretty resilient aren't they? I hope? You can get some rest now Lav. How was YB with the hospital visit? did he freak out?

I can't believe we have at least one more round of snow! for everyone!! Arggghhhh! Enough already! It's been so cold none of it from the last one has melted. There's pure ice on the deck so I watch the boyz from the door.

I'm getting really jazzed up to start working on the Paphut again. There are 2 projects I don't have to wait for good weather to do and I will begin next week. I am going to take the first 2 weekends off from my demo job so I can keep up the pace and also so I can do my taxes!! I like to do them all in one sitting, not 5 min here and there. They really aren't that hard, just tedious.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday. I have a demo from 11-3 but it's local so that's good. Better get moving!!

                            :wd:Yay for Will!:wd:

Lav, you are right to want to keep a close eye on his recovery and the consult with a neurologist is a good idea.

Papmom, your home project that doesn't rely on good weather...what is it? Painting? New curtains? Good luck with your taxes. It's just ridiculous how much time it takes to do them...even the simple ones. I hope one day there is true tax reform in the country and we can all stop living in fear of making a mistake and having the IRS show up.

Star the party sounds really great. And I'm glad you like the yoga. Do you get a sense of relaxation by the end of the class? I am so inflexible, I don't think I could do very well at yoga. That's one of the things I'm going to try when I have more time...in just 39 more work days.

The storm isn't roaring here, at least not yet. It's been snowing most of the afternoon, but the ground is too warm for it to stick. Fine with me!!

                              March Maintenance ~ Week 3

                              hi all,
Dill-I was actually talking about projects for the Paphut that can be done inside. One of which is yes, curtains, recovering the cushions, rescreening one of the windows and when it gets a tad warmer painting the rest of the cabinet doors.
Unfortunately today I discovered that there is a leak in the rear of the trailer. The water was just cascading down the outside back from the melting snow and finding it's way behind the tailight and also into a small crack above the fender. The wood inside is soaking wet in one spot and I think part of the bottom frame that sits on the actual trailer is now rotted. My worst nightmare. And here I was all ready to take it on a couple of trips this year! I took the snow rake to the roof and jacked up the rear and tilted it to one side to make the water run off more safely so we'll see if everything can dry out. PLEASE no more snow!!

Star-so glad you had such a good time at the party! I really don't like parties anymore. I can only drink so much water and seltzer and I find I hover over the appetizers or food. I do enjoy talking with people more now that I don't have to watch if I slur my words but I get bored easily and just want to go home.

Dill-I'm with you on the yoga-I'm so inflexible that it hurts. But, if they offered a class after work instead of at 8am then I would take it because I know it would help with a lot of things I have issues with.

Demo went ok today. I was very upset that I missed my breed club's Performance event. My friend from Maine came all the way down for it and won pretty much the whole Rally-O event with both her paps!! I would have loved to have seen that and been therre to support her. It's times like these that I really resent having to work 2 jobs. I guess now would be a good time to check my lottery tix for last nite!!

                                Good morning to all...

Lav, hope you have some time to yourself this week, you deserve it.

Dill, I love yoga, have done it on my own since my 20s, so I am very flexible. I love the breathing component of yoga. Very refreshing, relaxing, and calming. I have just found it hard to find a teacher close to home and reasonably priced.

Pap, maybe you can get the paphut repaired? I know you have wanted to take it out on the road with your doggies. Yoga does not have to be painful and shouldn't be. You just do what you can, it is about process, the journey, not the destination. This snow is ANNOYING.

Waking up to snow, AGAIN, is just over the top. Spring, where are you? To all, have a great day.
